Cold Case
Did anyone catch the brief scene on Sunday nite?
Tuesday April 10 00:20:03 2007
Paula Peril comics
The mini-skirted and black boots-clad investigative reporter (who according to the creator, he drew based on Jennifer Connelly -- as she looked in the 1990s) finds peril in both of her comics:

Paula Peril #1: "The Curse of the Golden Dragon" (2006). Paula s chained at wrists & ankles while a buzz saw drops from the ceiling. And in the short story "Who Is Paula Peril?" she's tied AOH and OTM-gagged.

http://www.deviantart.com/view/30026056/

Paula Peril #2: "The Case of the Haunted Museum" (2006). Here's one time where the actual story delivers a better scene than the blonde on the cover who has her hands tied in front w/ an OTM gag. In the main story, arch-rival Veronica Vile is hand-gagged, then is tied w/ hands behind her back. In the short story "Disappearing Act", Paula is chloroformed by the villain, and awakens to find herself in chains & padlocks in a Houdini-like chamber that's filling with water...

I have both issues, and described their contents a little while ago. The art in the comic book is decent, but the writing is atrociously bad, to put it kindly. The plots are cliched and formulaic, and the text is replete with misspelled words and grammatical errors. There is also the use of a now unacceptable racial epithet. The authors seem to have aspirations of working for Marvel or DC, but lack the requisite talent.
The bondage is the only redeeming feature in the comic book. I will concede that it's very thoroughly and delectably drawn, with noticeable detail. The bound and gagged damsel is the centerpiece of the story; it gravitates around her peril.
Furthermore, the poses the female characters strike while bound and gagged enhances the delectability of these scenes. Paula Peril is bound and gagged while standing upright and wearing a short skirt; this accentuates the effect of her long, shapely legs. Veronica Vile is bound and gagged while sitting with her legs to one side. I find this pose very sexy.

Nice find, six degrees.

Erika's gag looks very sloppy on the production stills, but in the trailer it's PERFECT. And what a great way to begin a trailer... :D

Awesome... I always hoped that Erika would be B&G'ed someday... Even with glasses (although she doesn't wear them on the EPK... nice)!

By the way, at some point in the trailer, you can see the black tape used to gag Erika next to a laptop. I love it when this happens - it's better than seeing a piece of tape coming out of nowhere :P

The Price is Right
There was a tape gag scene in the Showcase Showdown. The model Gabby was tape gagged because she was talking too much. She wore it for 2 scenes.

Potential with "Thank God You're Here"
I hate adding to the chorus of "hey, this might possibly sometime result in something," but there does seem to be hope for NBC's new improv comedy, "Thank God You're Here."

Guest celebs are ushered through a door and into a set dressing they have no prior knowledge of: they're forced to play along. Seems like it would be plausible for a guy to be slotted in a kidnap-type scenario.

There's a cute brunette in the cast of regulars. Two episodes were on last night: not sure if it's long for this world, but it might be worth keeping an eye on.

NCIS possible
Promo once again showed the goth chick possibly targeted. Voiceover said who's next for the killer/stalker and they show her getting startled. They've used this tease before with nothing, so it's getting like a soap opera but worth a look just in case. Tonight at 9 p.m. on CBS.

West coasters only hope, although I think they show repeats occasionally but this would be next to impossible to find again.

I recorded the secene. The model was referred to as "Betty the Braggart". I don't know if "Betty" is the model's name or simply a character that she was playing, but she was NOT referred to as "Gabby". She is one of the blondes. It was gray duct tape. There was no gag talk. The "situation" was that Betty was bragging too much so one of the models drowned out her noise by putting headphones in her ears from her digital music player (one of the prizes in the Showcase) and the other model got as far away from her as should could by taking a trip to New York City (another prize in the showcase), then the model with the headphones found a solution to Betty's talkativeness: putting a tapegag over her mouth. Later, Betty is seen reading a book called "Humility in Seven Easy Steps" with the tapegag still on her mouth.

There is currently no "Price Is Right" model named Betty, but there is one named Gabrielle Tuite. She is a stpendously gorgeous blonde. I surmise that "Betty the Braggart" is a character name, selected for its alliterative qualities.
Ironically, the model's real name, Gabrielle, can be shortened to "Gabby", which is a synonym for loquacious. Assuming the model is indeed Gabrielle Tuite, the writers for the show missed the opportunity to create a skit using a play on the shortened form of Ms. Tuite's name.
There is an awesome Website called "The Price Is Right Swimsuit Central"; it was created by a fan of the show. It has numerous pitcures of the models on the show, and a list of the model rotation, that is, the models who are appearing in the episodes that are currently airing. You may be able to ascertain the identity of the gagged model by consulting this Website.

(Comics) Adam Warren's EMPOWERED
I just got my copy of Adam Warren's graphic novel EMPOWERED(Dark Horse Comics), the humorous tale of a nubile super-heroine and her many perils, from Amazon. I am only a little less than halfway through it, so this may seem premature, but so far...

HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION.

If you like super-hero genre damsel-in-distress fantasy, this is for you. If you are one of the many people on this board who bemoans the replacement of lighthearted bondage situations in pop culture with grim sadism, this is for you. It's also actually clever and funny too, appealing to my big head as well as my little one (although the little guy's opinion really doesn't count, as he pretty much likes anything with a remotely attractive woman gagged in it. Heck, he sat through MISS CONGENIALITY 2).

Bravo, Mr. Warren, I hope to see some more of poor Emp's adventures in the future.

Her gag obscures the lower half of her face, so it is difficult to tell. I did consult the model schedule on the Website, however, and learned that the blonde appearing on the show from April 10-13 is Shane Stirling, NOT Gabrielle Tuite. Assuming that the schedule posted is a broadcast schedule, not a taping(pardon the pun) schedule, the model who is gagged with duct tape is not Gabrielle Tuite.

Joe Louis Commercial
"Title: Joe Louis Commercial
Medium: Other
Actress: Unknown

Description: A 30sec commercial spot for Canadian Vachon Bakery 'Twinkie-like' product featuring a guy keeping his girlfriend from eating all of his stash. She's tied, wrists to chair arms , ankles together with rope and cleave gagged (quite well) with a blue bandanna.

Mild struggling while he eats the product in front of her."

Found this in the database and I was facsinated by it. The simplicity alone would make this commercial a must see for someone like myself.

Does anybody have a link to this video or have this commercial?

Thanks is advance.

Actually this was Without a Trace where this happened, not Cold Case; scene was just before the 3/4 hour commercial break. Overhead shot of aforementioned person bound hand and foot (and perhaps hogtied) with tape gag, then close-up shot of her face. Very brief.

Price is Right
The model gagged on The Price is Right is definitely Gabrielle Tuite. All you have to do is check her website and you will see it's the same girl.

This is second time she's been tape gagged on The Price is Right. The other time was also during the Showcase. It wasn't as good because she played neighbor who loved to gossip and was wearing an ugly wig that was supposed to make her look old. Today's scene was much better.

Gabrielle Tuite also appeared this season chained up to a chair on TPIR. No gag.

Then the schedule posted on the Website must be a taping schedule, not a boradcast schedule. The models listed for particular dates must be taping the episodes on those days, for broadcast on future dates.
