Wow that was the most confusing thing i've seen in a while, and all the pitch blackness didn't help much either. I hope the rest of the movie's not like that, this kind of MTV cutting crap has really ruined movies, and (on topic mode ON) also ruined a lot of really good scenes by bisecting them into annoying little bits. |

Wednesday April 25 05:49:13 2007 Speaking of "The Handmaid's Tale"... |
...Okay, no one was. Anyway, the other day I came across my tattered paperback copy of Margaret Atwood's now rather dated novel, lost more than a decade ago when it was packed away for a move. Needless to say, I immediately tore into it to satisfy my curiosity as to whether Victoria Tennant's famous gagged-and-tied-to-the urinal-in-her-underwear scene in the movie was taken from the original story, as I seemed to recall it was.
Well...sorta. In the book, Tennant's character, Aunt Lydia, isn't the one who gets it, but she relates afterward what happened to who did, going into detail about how Aunt Elizabeth was stripped, her veil torn into shreds used to tie her, and-get this!-she's stuff-gagged with cloth held in by another strip! Methinks Atwood rather enjoyed herself a bit here! Incidentally, Aunt Elizabeth isn't tied to a bathroom fixture, but left hidden behind a furnace. These observations occur midway through Chapter 22. Much later, however, in Chapter 42, there's another scene that I don't recall having made it into the movie, at least not in the form Atwood wrote it. There's a group hanging (or "salvaging," as Atwood refers to it) of two Handmaids and a Wife. It's a brief account in which the first victim is described as having her hands tied behind her, then is hooded and helped up onto a stool which is kicked out from under her, leaving her to strangle until her kicking feet are grabbed and pulled down. The next chapter begins with a description of the three bodies hanging side by side. Again, one wonders what was going through the author's mind here. Anyone recall this second scene? I haven't seen the movie in its entirety since it was released; and if you've only seen it on network TV or basic cable, trust me, you HAVEN'T seen it in its entirety. There's only one local library that still has the DVD and it's checked out, so it'll be a while before I can see for myself. |

Lynne Marta in The Rookies ("Time Is the Fire"). Def Con 4 Soap operas are likely a rich source as well, since their leisurely pace is conducive to such monologues vs. say, an action-thriller. |

Wednesday April 25 08:46:57 2007 "Don't Bother to Knock" VCR alerts correction |
The VCR alerts page says that this movie (with a bound and gagged scene for Donna Corcoran) is on at 4:15 am early Wednesday morning on Turner Classic Movies. This is incorrect. The movie is actually on American Movie Classics (AMC). It is on right now on the west coast. |

Wednesday April 25 09:58:32 2007 Anti-Alert (sort of): Spider-Man 2.1 |
I got my hands on the new, extended DVD edition of "Spider-Man 2", called "Spider-Man 2.1" (how clever... NOT!). I hoped that there would be something more on Kirsten Dunst's AOH-bondage scene (a tape gag, perhaps?), but... nope. However, if you guys liked the rest of the movie, I recommend this DVD. Lots of exciting new scenes!
We can only hope for something more... interesting on Spider-Man 3 (ask Van. He knows :D). BTW, I also bought the Extended Edition of "King Kong", and one of the extras featured Naomi Watts chloroformed. As soon as I've edited out the clip, I'll let you guys know. Please, don't forget that all requests go to the Trading Forum! |

Wednesday April 25 12:17:57 2007 "Hostel" spoof on Computer Show |
I just read something on a foot fetish forum that might be of interest here too. The poster said that there was a spoof of Hostel on "Attack of the Show" on the G4 tv network. He said the cute female host was tied to a chair and menaced by one of the other cast members. He mentioned that she had to reach out with her toes to try to reach a chainsaw or something. Not everone has G4 (I don't) but, hopefully, they'll repeat the show and someone can capture it... |

For grabbing & getting a clip up for interested. Did the poster give you an ep title? Is it "DVDuesday." I have this show coming up on my air-sched (Here as Tech Channel) with no ep title but that (DVDuesday), but appears same time as the playoffs on CBC Like to know if can get away with not taping and missing the game if I don't have to |

I quickly dismissed the little warning before posting, since I didn't see the harm I was doing by posting those links. Lets not blow up though, eh? I've seen mods on this board flip over the youtube issue, and I must say - I don't quite "get it". Anyway, my apologies for not posting it in the correct section of the forums. Though I see more links to youtube videos in this section than I do the videos area. And why can't other topics of discussion spin-off of the links I posted? Oh well. Again - sorry. |

Wednesday April 25 17:58:04 2007 Handgag scene in Doctor Who |
In the latest episode of Doctor Who, "Daleks of Manhattan", the character of Tallulah is handgagged by the Doctor himself he tries to prevent being spotted by the Daleks. She lets out a little mmppff, and then there is a brief close-up as he shuts her up. Scene occurs about 3/4 of the way in.
Let's hope new companion super-hottie Freema Agyeman gets a good scene! |

Yep, nice scene, as described in the DB. I know I downloaded when it came out, and I THINK it was part of an "online film festival" or something, but it might also have played at some "real" film festivals, too. It's probably tangentially "mainstream" because it's not about the bondage; it's more like the climax of a conventional thriller or crime movie. Can't find anything in imdb (am I misremembering, or was Vinnie Jones the bad guy?), and while I ran across a couple of short films by that name by using google, none of them were the right one. |

The first scene that springs to my mind is Marsha Thomason's scene from "Prime Suspect 5" (1996). The slimy-looking villain talks to Ms. Thomason while he gags, binds, and blindfolds her with black tape; meanwhile, Ms. Thomason wimpers and "mmmphs" and looks quite distressed for much of her four minutes on screen. I don't hear this scene mentioned when the topic of favorite scenes comes up, but it's in or around my Top 25. |

Didn't Bruce Campbell do a lot of yakking while he had Jocelyn Seagrave bound and gagged in that very short skirt in "Assault on Dome 4."
As for why it was good: don't remember a bit about the conversation. I remember Seagrave's legs and the nice cleave gag very well. But it was Bruce Campbell as the evil captor. That's gotta count for something. |

Yeah, it was a downloadable clip on a site that featured independent producers. The damsel, a super sexy Latina named Carolina Acosta has absolutely no lines...she just stays bound and gagged with duct tape by the kidnapper.I want to say it was on iFilms but not sure. I simply can't remember. I had saved the link in my favorites in my web browser but the page was eventually removed by the site after a nice long run. I did make some caps of the scene on my humble Yahoo Group dedicated to tied up Latinas. Those interested...http://groups.yahoo.com/group/captivelatinas/ |

There are many, but one favorite is Hawaii Five-O "Tour de Force Killer Aboard" with Amanda McBroom. Great expression on her face, highly sarcastic monologue by villain: "Truth is dear, I'd much rather be with you than all those Arab diplomats..." |
