And if I'm not wrong, I think that Nicole Parker was handgagged this season during a parody of a Dixie Chicks song but I'm not positive on that one. But I definitely know for sure that they had other DID scenes on MAD TV... |

| I just finished watching a rerun of an episode of this show entitled "Fare Game", the word "fare" meaning food in this case. The plot concerns a beautiful woman who is found dead with her hands bound behind her back and a black cloth tied over her eyes. The cause of death appears to be asphyxia, though no gag is evident in her mouth.
The dead damsel had been attending a party at which bizarre and exotic comestibles were served, such as live insects and centipedes. One of the delicacies served was live octopus. The CSI team discovers that the cause of death was asphyxia by octopus; while she was bound and blindfolded as part of a kinky sex game, her partner put a live octopus into her mouth, effectively gagging her and eventually killing her, as the beast made its way down her throat and obstructed her trachea. This must be the first incidence of a damsel being gagged with a live octopus. I saw that there is no entry for this scene in the voluminous Scene Database. Can the octopus be considered a gag? |

I just composed a Database Entry for this episode. I was unable to ascertain the identity of the actress who was bound, so I entered "unknown" in the actress name data field. I did attempt to research the episode on the Internet, and did find a full cast list for this episode, but was unable to determine which of the guest actresses played the victim. |

I like effective handgags and I am very grateful to anyone that has posted details in the DB, particularly if that actress has never been gagged in any other way. An example is Phoebe Cates. Her classic handgag scene in Lace 2 was posted in the database and I would otherwise have been unaware of it. I certainly would not normally watch a romantic mini series I therefore owe the poster a debt of gratitude |

| I caught the end of a segment about a pair of brothers who abducted hookers and kept them as slaves. There was at least two scenes where girls were tied up and handcuffed, including one made to walk around in a pair of diapers.
Also a part where the kidnappers flipped through a photo album with polaroids of their past victims tied and gagged. And a pretty nice scene where the last victim was handcuffed kneeling in pantieds with her hands cuffed spread apart to bedposts, she convinces one of her captors to uncuff one of her hands and is able to get the other hand loose by licking the cuffs to lubricate them so she can escape. All the girls were either released or escaped by the end. |

Episode of "T.J. Hosker." Hooker's daughter is kidnapped. When the kidnapper calls Hooker from a pay phone to taunt him, he implies that his daughter is tied. 'later he tells her 'do you want me to tie you up again?" even tho we never see it. 3. "Nightmare In Columbia County." We see what happen thru the DiD's eyes and hear her mmmpffing through gag but we never see her. Scene only lasts about 30 econds and that's it. |

First, with regard to this left-tied-up-at-the end-of-the-story thread: Didn't the bondagee in "Club Fed" meet that fate? In fact, I think just before the credits rolled, they went through the characters and talked about what ultimately happened to them, and they made a point of saying she was never found, showing her still tied. (If you've never seen this film, don't worry-it was strictly for laughs.) And here's the last word on Rita Hayworth. Encore Westerns showed "They Came to Cordura" this morning, and I can clear up another ambiguity about this film while I'm at it. Although it's often characterized as a Western, it's really a war film set in 1916 Mexico during the Army's chase after Pancho Villa, but there's still a lot of horses and shooting in it. Anyway, Hayworth plays a prisoner being escorted by a detail led by Gary Cooper, made up of hard-bitten soldiers who've been long in the field-and you know what THAT leads to. A pair of them jump Hayworth about an hour and fifteen minutes in, one of them cleave-gagging her with a large cloth she just HAPPENED to be carrying...hmmm, I wonder why? Their impeccably virtuous commander pulls them off her before any harm is done, though. So, that's it. Just a single brief GNB for Hayworth after all those bad-girl roles. Such a shame. And speaking of bad girls...well, at least Elizabeth I thought she was. Check out the link below for an AP story about who database damsel Scarlett Johansson will be playing. Not that she'll add to her resume here-Vanessa Redgrave didn't when she played Mary, and neither did Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Jane Grey (although she did give us one of the last century's great mainstream corporal punishment scenes, didn't she?). Come to think of it, the actress who played Mary, Queen of Scots in Helen Mirren's Elizabeth I miniseries wasn't bound either. Neither was Genevieve Bujold in "Anne of the Thousand Days." You know, I've always wondered why Marie Antoinette is almost always shown being rather elaborately tied or strapped to the guillotine, while the multitude of British female royalty who went to the block are depicted as doing so practically voluntarily. What, if anything, could or should be read into that? |

| I see in todays NY Post that in the new movie release "Severance" that there is a close up photo of a woman with a rag stuffed in her mouth and held in place by a piece of rope, which appears to be wrapped around a tree also. She has some streams of blood on her face also, if that upsets anyone. The movie is not being shown in my location, so can't tell anything more about it. |

Every victim got the same treatment. Marie Antoinette went to her death with dignity, speaking only to apologise to executioner Sanson for treading on his foot as she climbed the scaffold. Anne Boleyn hired a French swordsman to kill her standing up, because she knew what a mess the axeman usually made of the job. I understand the various straps on the bascule (tilting board) of "La Veuve" were there mainly to ensure accurate alignment between neck and blade, and thus a quick death, rather than to prevent escape. |

Not the best, but first one I had ever scene. Another with a with female in "Earth Versus The Spider". | Kari Wuhrer got the spiderweb treatment in "8 Legged Freaks".
There's also a scene in an old Skinamax flick whose name escapes me where a woman is trapped in a magical spiderweb that binds her and no one else and she's also gagged with an apple that she somehow can't spit out. |
