| Apparently, the entertainment news is undecided about whether "Veronica Mars" may cancelled, may be changing premise, or... something else. Supposedly, the premise change would be Veronica joining the F.B.I., and becoming a cadet at Quantico. Uh... did she get her BA or BS when I wasn't paying attention? Don't you have to be a college grad to join the F.B.I.? Maybe they have a Nancy Drew Auxiliaries program. In any case, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for anything "on topic" to happen. |

Title: Magic Knight Rayearth Medium: Other Actress: Caldina Description: Episode: Ep 23 - Autozam's Invasion and Lantis MKR was one of the first animes in which the girls really did kick and kill the monsters, instead of waiting for the hero(es) to arrive and save them. In the 2nd season of the series the Magic Knights are reunited with the friends and former foes that they left behind when they returned to Earth in the 1st season finale. Caldina and Ascot were their foes once but now are on the good side. Caldina (an hipnoteuse and sort of a street fighter that wears a skimpy gold or yellow bikini as her usual clothes) have to drag Ascot from behind a column, because he's too shy (and ashamed) to see the girls. When Caldina's is going to explain to the girls the reasons of his weird behavior and why he grew up so fast, he panicks and handgag her with both hands, nearly choking she manages to breaks free and -after regaining her breath, yells at him. Obviously for humorous purposes, but it's so rare to see an handgag in a CLAMP based anime. He repeats the action in a further episode, with the same results. ======================================== Favouring this an animated/cartoon show and I plan on marking it as such for the search feature. However, it's marked "Other", so if it is one of those Video Games, etc that belong in that category? Let me know Thanks |

| Van is on the right track, you do have to have college degree, preferrably law or one of the sciences to be in the FBI. You also have to be at least 23, so none of these kid geniuses who get into coleege at 15 would qualify. |

| One infrequent occurrence in mainstream TV/movies that I enjoy seeing is the damsel(s) gagged onscreen before being bound.
In one respect, it adds to the dramatic tension of the scene: The damsel KNOWS her hands will be bound next -- obviously -- otherwise the gagging would be pointless. Not counting Hand-gaggings before being bound, what are some of your favorite onscreen gaggings before bindings? | When the 2006 horror movie "Blood Trails" was released in theaters, its theatrical poster featured a girl with duct tape on her arms. She didn't appear to be bound; the tape is just around each arm of hers.
However, the film is now on DVD, and the DVD cover features an extreme close-up on the face of a girl (probably the same girl as the one on the poster). Her mouth appears to be taped shut. Yes!!! What is more, the tagline on the cover says, "Scream all you want". Hmmm... Interesting! :D You can find the DVD cover on the link below. Beware, though: the picture is somewhat creepy. |

Interesting! :D > Can confirm the film Bloodlines does hava a rather extensive (10m?) tie and gag scene in the last 20 minutes Leading lady Rebecca Palmer is stalked through the woods by a one night stand and eventually captured and taken to his cabin, I need to see it again before I can add it to the database because it's quite a 'busy' scene and I want to do it justice. In a nutshell she's ducttaped to a chair, wrists to chair arms, ankles to chair leg and tape gagged, there's a little bit of torture which isn't very pleasant but a lot less gross than most movies of this genre, then he leaves her alone in the cabin (the police call at the door IIRC) and while he's gone she overturns the chair, breaks some glass and cuts herself free. |

Let me know Thanks It's a Japanese TV Anime series, a serialised version of a series of Manga comics originally targeted at Japanese teenaged girls. I'm not sure that it really should be included at all just for a brief jokey handgag. If someone covers a girl's mouth in a comedy like "Will and Grace" does that make it to the database? |

| One of my recent pet peaves have been these new re-run networks. Most channels that show reruns tend to show the whole cycle of a particular series then goes back and starts again, ad nauseum. But many of these new networks operate differently. Take the SLEUTH channel, it tends to show episodes up to a certain point-then stops and goes back and starts over again from the beginning until it reaches that magical point where it goes back and starts all over again, and on and on. Take MIAMI VICE. I must have caught the home invasion and the Phani Napoli scenes three or four times before they, recently, got around to showing the Rita Rein and Olivia Brown torture scenes in the current cycle. Or take SIMON & SIMON. How many times did they show the scene of the girl with the white tape gag thrown into a grave by Chris Connelly before they recently showed Moms scene and the scene with their blonde cousin looking for the Simon mine?
Worst of all has been the American Life Network. When I saw they were running LAWMAN I was ecstatic figuring I'd finally get to see the two scenes involving Lily, the saloon hostess. One of them was my second favorite scene of all time many years ago. Apparently Lily didn't show up until the second or third season for the early episodes they ran were without her. Finally after months of waiting Lily shows up on the scene. Now I'm thinking it'll be weeks before my dream comes true. They show a few episodes of her and then go back and start re-showing the Lily-less episodes again. It's months later before Lily shows up again. And what happens? After a few episodes they go back to the beginning and start showing the Lily-less episodes again. What's going on here! Is it a rights problem, or something else. |
