Amy Steel had a couple of short but sweet bound and gagged scenes in "The Power of Matthew Star." Is this series out on disk or shown on FX? |

The scene with Mimi continued today. She was tied back to back with a guy and then later they maneuvered themselves so that they were then tied face to face. They ended up freeing themselves. Now if only the God's would bless us with a scene of 2 hot women tied together face to face, gagged or not, it would be unbelievable! Probably will never happen though |

Not on dvd as of yet, TV Land ran the entire series about 5 years ago. For about 6 months they ran only half of the episodes over and over on weekend afternoons. Then for some inexplicable reason, they ran the remaining episodes one time each on Sunday mornings at something like 6:00am. |

Thursday December 21 01:42:09 2006 Passions gets renewed |
I just read on a soap opera website that PASSIONS (which is dead LAST in the daytime soap opera ratings) has been renewed for another year by NBC. However, the show's budget has been drastically cut. This is actually good news for us. Passions will be forced to use LESS special effects like they have used in the past (the show has witches for characters) and other "frills". Instead, they will have to rely MORE on storylines that are much cheaper to produce. This should mean more bondage scenes. Rope, cloth, and tape do not cost much at all. |

Hey guys,
Alex emailed me the image discussed earlier. I am going to host it for him here, but I am going to leave the commentary to him. It definitely is on-topic and some will most likely find it of interest. Here goes nothing... |

Thanks again Wavy. I thought that some of the folks (OLDTIMERS) would find this photo interesting. If you notice, she is wearing THE same clothes from the famous Dragnet 68 cave scene. I wonder if this photo was taken before or after the scene was filmed. Could the 2 of them possibly be viewing the actual photos that were taken in the movie by the serial killer. I wonder what the conversation could have possibly been about. |

And for good reason: "Tom and Jerry" have nice artistic merit as cartoon animation (and, yes, I loved the scenes you mention; makes me laugh just to remember them), but they have absolutely no bondage-related interest at all. Zero. Zilch. The H/B I'm thinking about (and hating) is the Fred and Wilma, Deputy Dawg, Jetsons stuff. The cost-cutting, reductive, choppy crap that for some reason some people love to lionize. Not me. Give me Chuck Jones...give me early Disney. And, okay, give me Tom and Jerry-type early H/B, but spare me the other stuff. Especially spare me "Scooby-Doo," despite the availability of bondage tie-ups for its heroines. They're all clunky, poorly illustrated, and really, really poorly animated. And all the @#$$%*$#! storlines are the same. Arrrghhh! On the other hand, there were some pretty clever animated bondage scenes with Olive Oyl, for those of you who remember. Ol' Olive might not be attractive to anyone besides Popeye and Bluto, but she "mmmphs" pretty nicely. Wish I had clips. And there are some lovely "faux" comics of Wilma, Betty, etc. in bondage (but they're not animated, alas). Those I have a few of, if anyone's interested, which I pulled off the web. BTW (and not really relevant to this Forum, but...), last week's New Yorker mag had a nice review of a recently published and very enlightening biography of Walt Disney. Interesting stuff. Guess I gotta read the book. Dannysuling |

The cost-cutting, > reductive, choppy crap that for some reason some people > love to lionize. Not me. I've never got as far as hating it, because there was often inventive humour in some of those shows, but even at age 10, when we got our first TV set, I realised it was cheap and repetitive. A few years ago, I was a patternmaker for vacuum-formed plastic packaging, and one of the jobs we had was a set of chocolate moulds for Flintstones characters. We were supplied with photos of the maquettes used by the animators to view them from any angle. I wonder if those models still exist, and if any other poses were undertaken than "just standing there". Betty was cute even as a static model (with a phenomenal resemblance to Jackie Kennedy), and a bound version would be something to see! :-) When we first saw later H&B stuff Popeye was still being regularly shown on British TV, and yes, there was obviously no comparison for quality of animation. > > Give me Chuck Jones...give me early Disney. Never saw Scooby Doo - couldn't bothered, as animation in general was so poor at that time. > > On the other hand, there were some pretty clever animated > bondage scenes with Olive Oyl, for those of you who > remember. Ol' Olive might not be attractive to anyone > besides Popeye and Bluto, but she "mmmphs" > pretty nicely. Wish I had clips. Me too. I mentioned Olive earlier, in a reply that failed to post. (I kept getting a "malformed string" message, but the problem eventually cleared.) I saw one of Olive's scenes by chance in a shop window. She was gagged with white tape, apparently by Bluto, who was trying to make off with her, and Popeye was hanging onto her other wrist as they all ran down the street. Olive's cheek-puffing and eye-rolling as she cannoned into various items of street furniture were very well executed. Sadly, I couldn't judge the mmmphing from outside the shop. > And there are some lovely "faux" comics of > Wilma, Betty, etc. in bondage (but they're not animated, > alas). I think the "Full-treatment" Olive I remember was where Popeye was a detective hired to protect a magic emrald that made the view appear black & white with it's glow. There was no mmphing in this rather SHORT scene, but she was cloth gagged and tied to a cylander as the crook (It wasn't Bluto) made of with the jewal, with Popeye chasing him. Of course Olive was already freed before Popeye returned with the gem. |

Great pic; this was the "scene of the decade" for me and it was a great decade with the Avengers, The Man From Uncle, The Collector and many others. It's also a scene that makes you keep searching because I remember thinking at the time "... if only her hands were tied behind her back..." I'm not sure but I think this was also the first scene on American television with extra leg ropes and not just ankles. |

Usually not a fan of these type of scenes, but the photos look pretty good. Decent looking damsel. Not gorgeous, but nice. great find. The observation that Thordis is wearing the clothes that she was tied in does bear the question, was this photo shot before or after the big scene? I have an even bigger question. What ever became of all the photos tha were shot of the different actresses that were tied up in that movie. Remember not only were there the 8x10's of the four girls, but the tool box was full of smaller snapshots of various bound girls. Who got to keep all the photos? The Director, The Producer, Jack Webb himself? Did the actresses request copies for themselves? I hate to think that the photos were just tossed out or are still laying in a movie vault somwhere. |
