Now, this isn't really helping, is it? If I knew what
sites you meant, then yes I could do something. I could
block images from them.

Paula Peril: Midnight is the Darkest Hour
Valerie Perez (who starred in the short film/trailer) has been selected as the lead in the re-casting for "Paula Peril: Midnight is the Darkest Hour".

I'm hoping that the "technical, creative and professional vision changes" mentioned by the director translates to changing the lead from a kick-ass action heroine to a pulp cartoon damsel-in-distress heroine -- which would, after all, be more in line with the Paula Peril comics themselves.

Also, the movie has recently been added to IMDB.com as a pre-production film.

Dear Engineer, I've always admired the privacy of this site, being able to post without an email address and without first registering, but I'm really curious, what is this person talking about and why would it matter if anyone has vistors ip addresses? Why is Java a concern? Should there be concern?

You should, it's a real fun camp musical in the spirit of John Waters's original film, and it's got Travolta in drag. What's not to love?

The scene occurs about 80m in and is short but sweet, Amanda Byrnes (sp?) is the damsel punished by her mother for harbouring a fugitive and rescued by her boyfriend almost immediately.
Has anyone submitted it to the DB yet? If not I'll try and write something up tomorrow.

Closing it Down
After 2 years of running, I've decided to close my Yahoo group dedicated to Latina damsels. I know there's alot of material and interest in this but I just don't have the time and talent to serve anymore. Lately, I spend more time cleaning up spam and deleting spammers from the group. I'm closing it down at the end of July. So feel free to join and get access to the pix and flix that in the group files. I enjoyed and only regret never being able to produce original material featuring girl next door Latinas getting bound and gagged.

Sinceremente,
Paco

IMO I don't think it's too far off topic since that is a possible problem; my firewall blocks outside intrusions and I don't even have messenger. How do you disable java in IE? I checked options but couldn't find it.

I don't see how this would help. Surely we don't want to shut down the mirrors. We want to shut down the sites that host the java applets that are grabbing this information. I for one have no need to see the change because I keep Java off for thes reasons already.

Anyway, even if you blocked them this would not help because the visitors here, I am sure, visit many other sites and the risk is there too.

Also, I suspect that these "harvesters" will just move elsewhere.

To reply to another person's question:
1) Knowing the IP address of the computer used to browse this site (or any other site) can reveal the geographical location, and sometimes, even the address/physical location/identity of the computer/computer user (albeit this is a rather technically challenging feat).
2) Java is an extension of browsing software that permits programs or small applets that can enhance your browsing experience. Many websites rely on Java to work properly, but it does pose a security risk.
3) Disabling Java is not easy for Internet Explorer. However, there is an alternative (not for the faint of heart): Firefox. You can install "NoScript" (google it) for FireFox and it will selectively disable JavaScript and many other "enhancements" except for designated websites.

Personally, I use FireFox and have NoScript enabled, and I have had no problems viewing Brian's page with Java extensions disabled.

Hope this helps.

Days of Our Lives Possible??
Hey All! I had Dateline on tonight but was around the corner in the kitchen when I heard a commercial blurb for Days of Our Lives (NBC daytime)that said something about kidnapped. By the time I got around the corner, the character Lucas was saying something about how some maniac had kidnapped his wife. Haven't checked this soap in some time but I "think" that Lucas is married to Sami..Allison Sweeney. Whoever he is married to, he's a young nice looking guy, so imagine said wife will be a looker. Anyhow, the spot ended with a tag about "The Brady's vs. the Demara's" That would be arch villain Stefano and company. Did anybody else happen to see this ad? If not, Lord knows when the actual event might show, but it looks like something to keep an eye on.
