Posted a link to the new trailer for this over on the video page. In related news, I think I'm looking forward to this movie about ten times more.

It came on during last night's episode of Eureka. I assume it was promoting the upcoming Flash episode, but I wasn't really paying attention to the ad. Flash Gordon is on the Sci-Fi Channel cable network Fridays at 9:00 pm Eastern time.

Well, lose a Painkiller Jane, gain a Flash Gordon. Flash Gordon, for all its awfulness, has a premise that could deliver many nice scenes. This does not, of course, mean that it will. It's just that, in the ordinary course of events, tied up damsels and slavegirls in chains could easily occur in Flash Gordon. Not so much in Painkiller Jane.

Plus, Painkiller Jane was horrible. Worse than Flash Gordon's pilot, if you ask me. It was more original in concept, maybe, but the show never backed up the original concept with any really original storytelling. And of course, Kristanna Lokken didn't deliver the sexy. That should have been the TV equivalent of a "gimme" and they weren't even able to cash in on that.

Small loss if you ask me.

Wow, I posted about this commercial last week and some smart ass named Stephanie made some remark about it being three years old or some such and I felt like an idiot. Well, I had never seen it before. But now you guys are acting like its big news so I don't feel like such a putz. I'll never spend any money on Major John's site for sure.
Thanks for the caps! That girl is hot!

Rings
I know this is a liitle off topic, but

In some pics and videos, the women has what appears to be an engagement and, or, wedding ring on the ring finger of her right hand.

In the USA wedding and or engagement rings are worn on the left hand.

I realize that the pics might just be flipped, but I didn't realize that you could flip a video/film that way.

So, my question is, are wedding and, or, engagement rings worn on the right hand in other parts of the world ?????

Not 3 years,
on July 24th by me after I finally caught the commercial.

The passaround clips sent to the boys and it posted up for everyone July 25th. All for free...

Never charged anybody here any scenes sent down, so you could easily get my passaround clip asking for it on Trades Page.
Here's the post for reference:

For interested,
I "caught" and going to clip the (Sunsilk?) shampoo/conditioner commercial.
"Even though her/her evil twin tied her to a chair, she's not afraid of the blowdryer! Keeps her luscious, full bodied hair that makes the guys notice her!"

Perhaps, this evil twin kidnapping/bondage will make it past majorjohns.com standards, even though "Gagless"?
(Trying alittle peer-pressure here)

If not, can always discuss this over on Trades page =>

With all due respect, I'm trying to understand why the thread went anywhere. Some guy posts a youtube link to a scene from a MAINSTREAM MOVIE featuring a MAINSTREAM ACTRESS, we all start *discussing* the MAINSTREAM MOVIE and the MAINSTREAM ACTRESS, and the thread gets banished. Since when did the word "youtube" become cooties made from kryptonite? Please, next time, look at the content of the posts. I check the Video Page when I want to read or chat about Videos, not discuss Karen Kopins DiD career in mainstream movies.

Back in April:

This post was deleted.
Poster: (unsigned poster)

Reason: Off-topic. What in the hell. I not only provide a page for video clips, but I put in a reminder that they don't go here. Yet people STILL override that and do it anyway. What'll happen eventually is that I'll make a small tweek and forbid any youtubes or other here at all.

Dita Von Teese
BATMAN and SLEEPY HOLLOW director Tim Burton is apparently looking to make a movie based around the life of dark rocker Marilyn Manson and ex-wife Dita Von Teese.

Entertainmentwise.com report that Burton said: “I’m fascinated by Dita and Marilyn. They’re like a living Brothers Grimm fairytale.”

The word is that Burton is already in talks to bring their story to the big screen.

It seemes to me that she is the series regular who is Ming's daughter, B+G by flash after she doublecrosses him, again. There was also a future preview that showed the regulars, walking tied together with a rope, Tarzan style. In this one series we get three possible DID's, cute, sexy and macho. Also some possible high teck bondage.

Yeah, but Van didn't post any youtube clips. The original post DID contain a youtube clip about Kopins, but Van's post consisted entirely of comments about Kopins' scenes in mainstream movies. Moving the post that had the youtube clip and any posts that referenced the clip mostly would seem reasonable to me, but Van's post would have stood up perfectly fine without the original post, and hence it seems unreasonable to remove it. Is there some sort of 'fruit of the poisonous tree' doctrine going on here?

Not possible, it DOES contain high tech bondage. In the pilot ep that is already aired, Dale Arden and Flash wear bulky futuristic cuffs with colored lights on them when they are brought before Ming.

West Coast Alert for The Vikings
The Vikings, airing right now on the Showtime Action Channel (digital cable), has a scene about halfway in of a cute slavegirl in stocks having an axe thrown at her by Kirk Douglas in one of those Viking tests of derring-do they used to do so derringly. It's not in the database, so I'm putting it here. Check your local listings, and the time I've given for the scene may not be all that accurate. There may be other scenes as well, I jsut happened across this one.

The Mod has made it clear in the past that if he removes a post, he will typically remove all the replies, without necessarily checking to see how related they actually are.

My guess is, had Van started a new post on the order of "Speaking of Karen Kopins," and mine had responded to that, they would likely not have been moved. But since our posts referenced the "offending" one, they went, too.

I hate some of it, love some of it. When it's well done, imaginatively done, which means it makes the damsel look MORE bound and helpless, like the wall-sized stocks in Star Slammer, or the huge cuffs in "Caged Heat 3000" it's great. When it's badly done, like the exploding collars in "Deadlock" substituting for all other forms of bondage, it's terrible. I guess 'Birds of Prey" TV series is the worst offender, with its stupid "pain collars" for the mutant gladiatrixes. What were they thinking? Well, at least the bondage was consistent with how awful the rest of the series was.

I'm thinking that this scene is not from Knot's Landing, but from the movie "Murder C.O.D.", and the damsel is Chelsea Fields.

At least I *think* this scene is from that movie. Beena long time since I've seen it.

Thanks Jeb. I taped the rerun of the pilot last night and a couple of hours around it and saw two trailer previews they are running. One is the next episode for Friday where Karen Cliche moves into Flash's apartment and the other is where a bunch of people are being led hands tied in front and Dale says something about "alien bondage" being fun or something. But neither trailer had a gag scene. So I'm really wondering what the heck trailer you saw and why it didn't run on the replay last night.

I just hope it's Karen Cliche because I can't believe she never got a gag scene on Mutant X and Adventure Inc.

----
And that wasn't even the most egregarious omission in the series.

"Sins of the Mother" *should have been* a bang-up scene. Guest star DiD was wish-lister Lori Loughlin as the retired Black Canary. And to prevent her "Canary Cry", rather ordinary hoodlums applied onscreen... a high-techy metal collar?! Methinks a low-tech harness ballgag would've been just as effective.

To add salt to the wound, Loughlin spent a long time onscreen post-tied, wearing that silly collar.

You might see if they rerun Eureka over the weekend, since that's the show I was watching. Don't know if they include the same ads or not, but it could be worth a try.

Yeah, but if the scene itself runs Friday night, which it probably will, why would you need to waste time over the weekend checking for another preview?

Yep. I viewed the post as a thin way to circumvent
the rule against posting video links. That applies
to all video. It was NOT, as I've made clear, a
follow-up to an on-going discussion.

That should have started on Video. That fact that
people started a discussion about it is why I moved
it rather than deleting it. You are perfectly free
to discuss it on Video.

Lighten up! When did the sorting hat put you in Slytherin? :-)

As I recall, the Karen Kopins thread started with a JPEG image of Karen from "Once Bitten". The post seemed to be about calling attention to the unusual cross-legged pose. "One of the more unique chair ties." I didn't even notice the youtube link, and judging from a quick re-read of all the posts in the thread, you seem to be the only one who did, bucko. :-) <---Note smiley-face.
