Scene pops up at around the 35 minute mark. The actress's name is Lisa Sheridan, playing "Kathleen Abernathy".

Eureka
Brief scene on Eureka tonight (around halfway through) for Deborah Farentino, sitting in a cell in an orange prison jumpsuit, hands cuffed to her waist, with a bag over her head (which is then removed). Kind of a completists-only scene.

I know Sci Fi Channel rebroadcasts the show at least once or twice after the initial showing.

Sadly, the season ends next week with little hope for Salli Richardson getting anything (though it appears that she and Farentino are finally gonna throw some punches next week).

Not faithfully enough, unfortunately.

Actually, it varies quite significantly from the comic-- which, of course, happens anytime you adapt something for film, but I wouldn't call it particularly faithful.

The frustrating thing is that, for all the changes they made, Betty IS still captured in the movie, and could certainly have had a B&G scene without interfering with the revised plot.

Sometimes just doing a google search under the actress and film name can land some nice images. Thanks for the initial posting. Nice.

I got it from the "KabelEins" channel, and it's advertising the "11 88 0" company (http://www.11880.com). As you can see below, MajorJohns has it (in the members area). I don't have a Youtube account, but if you're interested, we can discuss - in the Trade forum - uploading the commercial in full resolution on Rapidshare (for free).

Re: Abel's screenplay lamentations
I'm aware of the scenes Uma Thurman and Claire Forlani didn't deliver (Kill Bill Vol.2, Avengers, Mystery Men).

I believe that the "Bill" scene was filmed and will be included in "The Whole Bloody Affair" DVD, which will be the Director's Cut edition of the Kill Bill films. As for the Avengers and Mystery Men, they will remain a mystery.

Oh, my God! Jennifer Connelly skipped a DiD scene? Indy is kidnapped to blackmail Marion? Gosh! All I want now is a good scene in "Hallam Foe" and the unrated edition of "Live Free or Die Hard" (I'm pretty sure it has something more for Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

Plot is Diehard on a plane - even down to the bit where the terrorist bad guys are really just trying to steal bearer bonds.
Stacy and Judith are wifes of two key executives on board the plane - kidnapped separately as leverage. So they don't actually meet Cain's character (who is exceptionally lame - makes Bruce Willis look good)

Gor Omnibus
According to the site at the homepage link Dark Horse Comics will be reissuing the Gor books as ominbuses starting in November.

Barnes and Noble says a Gor Graphic Novel Omnibus scheduled for 28 Nov release.

Hope this happens.

And, even better, it will allow the baby boomer dinosaurs in here to actually give a helpful answer when our wives/significant others ask what we want for Christmas :-)

alas, were it not true but you are indeed correct. Given that Dalton's baddie wanted to seduce Connelly rather than use her as bait or kill her, the scene works better for the film.

And Just remember DiD scenes play better in the mind that they do in the finished production...in the mind they are perfect (and long...:)

Just to clarify (for those who just had heart attacks), this does not actually appear to be a "Graphic Novel", but just an Omnibus collection of the first three books.

Mind you, the prospect of a Gor graphic novel, or series of them, boggles the mind (particularly if they got as far as Captive).

John Buscema could have done it justice; today I think I'd go with Cary Nord, Mike Choi and Sonia Obama, or Terry and Rachel Dodson (they'd all do very different versions, but I think any or all would be worth seeing).

Van, Dean Cain didn't star in "Superboy"; I believe it was some other putz who's name I'm not going to bother to look up on IMDB. Dean's show was "The Adventures of Superman" co-starring Terri Hatcher. It is a nice take on 'six degrees of separation' though.

As far as the delay of release on Hallmark, it's probably because they're marketing it as a dvd or it's airing in other markets first.

I was just passing on what the clerk at the local B Daltons found in the non-internet Barnes and Noble data base.

She had no idea who John Norman was or what the 'Gor' books were about.

Hmmm...for the first time my DVR screwed up today & only recorded the first 5 minutes of GL. You say there was NOTHING today (Wednesday)? So that earlier post from Raffish offering clips from "today's GL" was actually from YESTERDAY'S (Tuesday's)???

thanks.

That's correct. Sorry for the miswording, which was incorrect by a greater or lesser degree according to your time zone. :) My clip was from Tuesday alone.

JLA Movie
More info is leaking out about the "Justice League of America" movie in active development. Supposedly, JESSICA BIEL is the leading contender for Wonder Woman!! Also, the plot may revolve around a source of information on all the JLA members' secret weaknesses. So... do the math. (WW + Golden Lasso = Fine Entertainment!!):-)

This is speculation (of course), and all the "facts" are subject to change, but if you haven't already, fire up a few brain cells and open a file on the JLA movie.
