Here's a neat little trick for anyone using Firefox. On the page where the picture in question is located, right click anywhere and choose View Page Info. In the box that comes up, click on the Media tab. You'll see a list of all the different pictures and other media that are included in the page. From there it's a simple matter of finding the one you want in the list and clicking the Save As button.

I do not know if there is a way to do this in Internet Explorer.

All together now...
Women's Murder Club tonight;
Doo-dah, doo-dah;
9 PM on NBC;
Oh, doo-dah-day!

This has been a non-DiD-scene/female pulcritude only, singing alert. :-)

...And did you guys catch ALICIA WITT on L&O:CI on USA last night? No DiD-scene, of course, but I know what *I'll* be watching Thursday nights at 10 PM (...alternate weeks, anyway). :-]

Hopefully, this show will last longer than Angie's last series ("Inconceivable,") which was canceled off the Friday night schedule after just 2 episodes in 2005. The good news is CBS' lineup is faltering, so this should do OK up against "Moonlight" and "Las Vegas."

You'd have to think scenes are coming if it lasts.

well there's nothing in the books that the series is based on, and shows like Cold Case, Bones and Cold Squrd haven't delivered much, and this is very similar terrority...

For what reason? The books the series is based on have nothing.

A few points:

All these shows (Police Procedurals/Murder Mysteries) live in their own parallel universes with their own set of rules. If the production team is competent & the writers good, the show is fun to watch. DiD scenarios *inevitably* pop up, but they often don't have any bondage involved. This is because of VAN's FIRST LAW: "It's about the story; *not* the bondage." "Bones" is in its third season and, so far, has had TWO major Bones-in-peril episodes. (1) Bones is B&G'd and almost fed to hungry attack dogs!! {YES!!} (2) Bones & one of her putz co-workers are buried alive in a car. (No bondage/putz contamination--NO!!} The bottom line: the show is quirky-fun to watch, it's populated by hawt women, and I'd probably watch if Bones had NEVER had a DiD-scene (yet).

The big question remains: Will "Women's Murder Club" suck? The women are HAWT, but that's not enough. No bondage in the books? Hah! If WMC lasts, its almost a SURE THING some damsel will have a Close Encounter of the Rope/Duct-Tape Kind in *some* episode. As to whether it will what all of us would call a Classic Scene... keep your fingers crossed.

Also... the women are HAWT!! ;-)

Resident Evil - Extinction
The 3rd RE movie hit cinemas today and there is a minor scene for Milla Jovovich in the first 15minutes.

She answers an SOS and falls prey to some bandits who cuff her hands behind her back.

A winner for those who like their Damsels in Distress to still be capable of kicking A***

Assuming no one beats me to it I'll whip up an entry for the DB on Monday.

I strongly doubt you can make such a statement, since the series hasn't even started yet. Every show has its own unique atmosphere in which a bondage scene would fit in for the main characters, or it won't. I find the fact that the book has no scenes to be the best (though limited) proof that we have that the show won't, either. If we actually see the show, and we find out it's that "kind" of series, then we'll have a better idea.

Uh... just to frame all that follows properly:
:-) <-Smiley Face!
Now... OF COURSE I can say it (meaning "If WMC lasts, its almost a SURE THING some damsel will have a Close Encounter of the Rope/Duct-Tape Kind in *some* episode."). I didn't say it would be a *GOOD* DiD-scene (with bondage), but ABC is promoting WMC as a CRIME THRILLER, so I stand by my statement, for *statistical* reasons. Regarding what's in the books... the author is lucky they're keeping the characters' names and professions. TV writers will be pumping out the scripts. Regarding having a better idea after we actually *see* the show... No, ya thing? :-)

Scenes are not random occurances, they only happen in certain situations and where the powers that be want them to happen. There are certain "crime thrillers" (promoted as such) where you aren't ever going to see the main characters in a scene. This very well might be a show that has tons of scenes, or it may have none. I just don't think you can say with much certainty as of yet, unless you work on the show or something like that.

Maybe so, but still, I doubt whether a series inspired by Nancy Drew books is as likely to produce a scene as a series inspired by the works of J.K. Rowling. If that's a good example.

Usually, you can watch a show and tell way the wind is blowing, so to speak. The premiere is often enough to get a good sense if it's fertile territory. We've been doing this for years and years.

In about an hour and a half, we'll know.... :)

I just finished the first "Bones" book, "Deja Dead". In the book, Dr Brennan has an ex-husband, a daughter, lives/works in Montreal, doesn't mind talking about psychology and hates guns. In the show, she has no previous or current marital ties, no offspring, lives/works in the Washigton DC area, hates psychology and wants to carry a gun on cases (and later, does).

In the book, the climactic scene includes a lengthy struggle during which she is restrained by a chain around her neck and another around her wrists. The scenes in the show have already been mentioned. So, it's anybody's guess!

Moonlight
West Coast Alert: Moonlight has a cleave gag scene that takes place in a flashback with a faded color look. There is not the greatest clarity. It takes place towards the middle of the show. While it is not a top scene I believe when there is one cleave gag there will be more to come. At least I hope so for Sophia Myles.

Women's Murder Club Possible Episode?
Ted Shackelford stars as an escaped sex offender who captures the WMC babes one by one in an apartment, b&g'ing them as they each arrive for a meeting.

This somehow sounds vaguely familiar. :)
