Next week on "Women's Murder Club"...
The previews for next week's "Women's Murder Club" suggest the plot will be about an online dating killer, and somebody muttered the immortal line: "he tied her up." The redhaired reporter is recruited for bait duty, but at the end of the clip, Angie Harmon's character is grabbed from behind by some goon in a parking garage (I think)!

In a perfect world, this would lead to ANGIE getting tied up and gagged, threatened with untimely death, and then rescued in the proverbial nick of time... but as this is NOT a perfect world, she'll probably elbow the goon in the gut, spin around, and knee him in the albondegas.

Still... mark it in the "POSSIBLE" column. :-)

Hi Jay L, do you know what's the original title? I found nothing from Operation Manhunt II on google.

Gor Omnibus
Did anyone get anymore info? I tried the Dark Horse website but couldn't find anything. I was curious about the release date, whether it's a revision or 'unedited' version of the first three novels to be followed by others, etc.

Actually in a perfect world, Angie would be captured and held as bait for her 3 friends who (on their way to a Halloween party dressed as a stripper, cheerleader and nurse) attempt to rescue her only to be captured themseleves and then all 4 are taken to some remote bondage island where the rest of the show's 10 year TV run takes place.
But, you're right, it's not a perfect world.
In reality I enjoyed the show and think I will watch it even if the possibility of "capture" doesn't exist.

Well, there is a distinct possibility of a Hollywood writers strike.

A much smaller possibility of Brians Pagers such as Van being hired to write scripts during the strike...

Like Outlaw Trail this film has been on the shelf
a long time. Switched studios and lead actresses.
Unfortunately there is nothing of interest at this site.
No photos, videos or behind the scenes stuff.
No info about when this is to be released either.
Said it had it's world premiere at ComiCon in July 07.
Guess we all wait.

The poster in late summer said episode 3 had a full treatment scene for someone, although it sounded like a guest star premise, which fits with the description.

Just checked out their MySpace page and there are a few nice pictures of the lead actress in bondage:

Release date accordingly to Diamond Distributors Previews is Nov. 21; this Omnibus is intended to be "the first in a series of affordable omnibus editions collecting the longest-running science fiction action/adventure series of all time."

There you have it. Sure hope this turns out to be the case.

Re: Gor Omnibus

Not to get political, but be sure to let Dark Horse Publishing know that you are interested in the Gor Omnibus, as there are growing mumblings on some comic book and fantasy sites about boycotting Dark Horse over publishing this. Some people were glad to see the Gor series go, and are aghast that it's coming back into print.

No

Perhaps someone familiar with (Cantonese?) language will tell us from the pass around clip

Also, the styles appear late70's/early 80's,
so may be hard to find mention on the net

Uh? It's nothing like Outlaw Trail which is a legitimate mainstream film with a professional budget and well known actors.

It's not on the shelf, it hasn't even been made yet; whatever "it" is. It also hasn't been "a long time". It looks unprofessional to me, sorry, more amateur web fantasy than mainstream film.

This anti-alert is for gag snobs like me. I caught an early run of the episode described on the alerts page to show at 8pm and while the description is fairly accurate there were no gag scenes.

Hmm... Since the show's set in San Francisco, Alzatraz is available. Of course, it would be impossible for a Super-wealthy Super-Villainess/Dominatrix to convert the prison into her Secret Lair without it being discovered... unless she took advantage of the secret submarine pens built entirely below the waterline during WW-II. Hmm... Ex-prison/National Park above, and Damsel Zoo below... Hmm... {B'wah-ha-haaa!!}

Now, how's she (the Villainess) going to get the costumed gals from the "Bones" Halloween episode to the island? {Snap!} Her vertical take-off and landing omniphibious, nuclear-powered submarine/supersonic jet, of course! :-D (Hey! Don't laugh! The X-Men have one. You thing Boeing built it as a prototype and burned the plans?)

I like the show ("WMC") too; but never give up hope. *EVERY* series is an exercise in frustration. They only becomes "DiD-classics" YEARS after they're off the air, and all the "so-close" and "could'a-been" episodes have faded from memory. We remember the good stuff (Heather Locklear as Officer Sheridan, writhing in a rope/handcuff hogtie; Erin Grey guest-damseling on "Fall Guy" in Navy uniform, tied to a chair and cleave-gagged; etc., etc.) and forget the rest. ;-)

Are you sure? I saw a presale order on amazonuk.

Anyway, you think people on comic book and fantasy sites would support Freedom of Speech in all it's incarnations however undesirable some are. Don't mean to start a too off topic discussion but what are some of these sites? I wouldn't mind visiting them to start a healthy discussion.

Paula Peril Web Site
I'm afraid I have to agree with the previous poster. Paula Peril does not look like a well made, professional project at all. The lead is a cute girl no doubt, but you can find cuter girls who get tied up all the time on sites like the FM Concepts bondage sites and others.

I hope it works out for them, but let's no confuse stuff like Paula Peril with legitimate main stream projects.

Boycott threats!!! What absolute craziness... too bad a publisher like Dark Horse is compelled to give in to idiocy like this. Hopefully these Omnibus editions see the light of day at some point.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent
Caught a preview for next Thurs. ep. 10pm EST USA network: Brief photo evidence of what appears to be a woman (victim?) bound with a cutaway to Alicia Witt commenting: "..erotic japanese bondage." with atypical dry cynicism cop show speak. Maybe not a good alert for a scene but I figure at least a good take of Alicia Witt uttering those words for fellow fans of the redhead.

Aparently, Dark Horse has "suspended" but not "cancelled" it. What does this mean? No idea. Let them know you want it, that's for sure. I didn't plan on getting it (I already have all the books, and while I think they are fun pulp cheese with some great gag scenes I'm not a hardcore fan), but I probably will now (between this, EMPOWERED, and the upcoming CREEPY & EERIE collections, I should probably just send Dark Horse my entire paycheck each month and get it over with).

I don't want to name any specific sites, but a quick google search will turn up some heated discussions. Most people were cool with it, but some were outraged, or annoyingly had a smug "*sigh* I thought we stamped this crap out" attitude.

Naomi watts and Funny games
Hi folks. It's been quite awhile since I've been on this site.
With the chance of making a fool of myself and being a "Johnny come lately" I have something to share. I looked back about 30 days or so figuring that this topic had to be the talk of the board but, was surprised to find nothing. so you might all
just say "duh everyone knew that Alex".
The movie " Funny Games" has been remade with none other than Naomi Watts in the bound and tormented mother part. I have viewed a trailer for the movie and let me tell you....... it looks like EVERY SCENE, NO MATTER HOW BRUTAL, HAS BEEN TOTALLY DUPLICATED IN THE NEW FLICK !!!! Yep... the extremely tight suffocating mouth filling gag. The tied hand and ankle hopping in her white slip. From the trailer it looks like nothing has been softed over.
