In fact, I'm fairly sure that I posted that same picture here when it first ran. I'll see if I can dig up more tomorrow. |

What I remember Ladd saying in the TV Guide interview-after making a point of showing the interviewer the marks on her wrists that she said were from the bonds-was "My next film will not be a bondage epic." No reference to "Bound to Please" as I recall. By the way, she was bound hands BEHIND in the film, although you couldn't tell because she spent most of the scene under a blanket. There WAS a nice promo shot of her lying next to Elliott with her wrists visibly bound behind her that ran in TV Guide that week. |

I remember that scene well. It was incredibly short and no good angles -- basically you see the guy's hands in the motions of taping her hands behind her back, but no clear shots of her hands. What a shame -- it was obviously tight and secure bondage, and now we learn that it was an uncomfortably long shoot for Cheryl and may have eliminated the promise of any subsequent scenes involving her. All this for a scene that wasn't even a keeper IMHO. Sigh. |

It's entirely possible that the scene was re-shot several times. As I recall, in the book the victim was blindfolded, bound and gagged. Given that the final version of the TV-movie was something like 4 hours, *some* scenes have to be cut to keep its flow. |

Wednesday October 24 12:31:16 2007 Fall season a bust so far |
After the Yvonne scene on "Chuck", not much taking place so far on network TV, at least compared to last season when tons of scenes popped in the first couple of weeks for returning shows. By this time last year we had full treatments for: Diane Farr in "Numbers" Kay Panabaker in "CSI" Sarah Wayne Callies in "Prison Break" The mother/cop scene in "Prison Break" Kathryn Erbe in "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" Two scenes with guests in "NCIS" Probably forgetting a couple, but hopefully action will pick up. |
Wednesday October 24 14:24:12 2007 Re: another WIP movie |
I have to admit that I'd like their stuff better if the bondage to lezzy sex ratio was reversed. And if the captives were hotter than the captors. |

Speaking of Eva Longoria, how long does everyone think her marriage is going to last? I give it no more than 2 years. Eva Longoria is NOT a one-man woman! PLUS, as she said in an interview once, she likes to get tied up. |

Wednesday October 24 15:35:31 2007 Prison Break? |
Read on a forum page (didn't see the episode) that Sarah Wayne Callies character was killed off a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, the producers couldn't get her to committ to return after maternity leave. She was kidnapped along with Lincoln's son but Callies was only shown from a distance because it wasn't her in the scene in the season opener. Did anybody see the killing scene? The son was B&G and survived but I'm assuming they didn't have a female B&G or somebody would have reported it here. |

I have been looking for websites that contain the Nielsen ratings, but they only contain the ratings for the top 20 shows. I found a website that said that the Nielsen media research company does NOT want websites posting the complete Nielsen ratings list, and that if they do, Nielsen will take legal action. A number of websites that used to post the full Nielsen ratings are no longer doing so. So, does anyone know of any websites that are still posting the full Nielsen ratings list? |

I was reading the other day that several lower-rated shows (Journeyman among them, a show with some potential for us) had been given new leases on life, with new scripts being ordered, presumably because the upcoming writers' strike makes it uncertain just what the networks will have to replace them with. Cane is another one spared from the ax, and given our luck with telenovelas over the years, it's not too much to hope that a soap/crime type show skewed for the same audience might provide something for us. |

Here are the details from the database: Record number: 10482 Title: Love Object (2003) Medium: Movie Actress: Melissa Sagemiller Description: All of the bondage occurs in the last 30 minutes and runs throughout until the end of the film. Melissa is bound and ball gagged in a chair. She is next seen suspended and then is placed in a polystyrene cutout that fits into a customised packing crate where she is tied down at wrists, ankles and neck, she is also ball-gagged. She is next removed from the packing crate - still attached to the polystyrene and winched onto a table - she remains this way until she frees herself. |

No killing scene but they had a clip of Dominic Purcell's(sp?) character uncovering a box left in warehouse(?) by Jodi Lynn Okeefe's character's henchmen with her head in it -- yes, very "Seven" (shot almost exactly the same way with a brief glimpse). Left as a warning against future lame rescue attempts. |

Couldn't find any images myself but there's a trailer on youtube (search "john rambo"), unclear shot of her on the floor of a hut, appears hand and foot (no gag) about to get raped before being rescued. Funny thing is, not many people will consider this movie to be politically correct: They (the characters) refer to the country as "Burma" when as of this past year that has been a renewed movement in the country to officially call themselves: "Myanmar". |

Wednesday October 24 18:18:42 2007 Re: Cheryl Ladd and TV Guide "interview creep" |
I remember this interview well. It appeared in TV Guide the week "A Death in California" aired on television during the 1980s. Unfortunately, it's not what you think it is. I distinctly remember that Cheryl Ladd shows the interviewer the welts on her wrists and says something like, "My next project will definitely not be a 'bound-to-please' epic." She's not referring to the magazine; she's using the cliche "bound to please" in a humorous way. But, for what it's worth, if you can find that issue of TV Guide, it included a black-and-white advertisement showing Ladd bound on her back on a bed, next to her captor, and her wrists (tied behind her) are visible. |

> I remember this interview well. It appeared in TV Guide the week "A Death in California" aired on television during the 1980s. ---- From a 1985 issue of Bondage Life magazine's "Bound for Hollywood" column: "And there was interesting material in the interview she gave TV Guide on the movie and the non-fiction book that inspired it. Regarding what she calls 'the bondage scene,' she says, 'I can very much understand how being bound and gagged for a time can *break* someone.' (She's speaking hypothetically, since her big scene includes no gag.) And lest readers' hopes get too high, she hastens to add: 'My next film will *not* be a bondage epic -- not one of those 'Bound to Please' numbers." While not qualifying as "Primary source verification", until someone digs up the original TV Guide issue, this contemporary review is likely better than relying on our ("interview creep"-prone) memories of an article published 22 years ago. |

> Two scenes with guests in "NCIS" > Probably forgetting a couple, but hopefully action will pick up. I discovered a new show on CW called "Reaper". The premise and feel of the show could lend itself to potential great scene. The main character has to fight supernatural evil baddies while trying to lead a normal life of teen/20something year old. He also has a crush on a girl he works with who has no idea he is a sort of supernatural superhero going after demons and monsters and stuff. I this has major damsel potential. I can already picture an epidsode plot where she unknowingly walks into a trap and is kidnapped by some demon out to destroy him. Has anyone else seen this series or is keeping tabs on it with DVR? |
