Tuesday October 23 02:37:13 2007 Paula Peril Movie |
I looked at the Paula Peril website and it makes a big deal that Val Tasso has been promoted to full producer - because "he has a solid background of producing and directing and was the natural choice" to take over that position. Yeah right. Look at his credits on IMDB. He has a few roles as the bartender or the waiter in films nobody has ever seen and he's done some stand in and photo double work. I'm surprised Lucas and Spielberg didn't snatch him up to help produce the next Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. I'll be as happy as anyone on this board to see the Paula Peril movie, but let's not kid ourselves in regards to the quality of this project. |
Tuesday October 23 04:43:07 2007 Cleaverville |
There is a scene at the conclusion of "Cleaverville" in which one of the female characters is bound and gagged in the back seat of a car. Her gag, however, is a ridiculously large towel that does not seem to be tied very tightly across her mouth. It looks silly rather than effective. |

Tuesday October 23 11:41:11 2007 Actresses who "get it." |
Just curious as to whether others have ever felt that some actresses - mainstream actresses - were more into being in situations where they needed to be rescued than are most actresses. Obviously it's just guesswork unless someone like Eva Longoria comes out and says she's there. To start it off, it always seemed to me that Cheryl Ladd, while she played many strong and independant characters, was always very comfortable being a make-believe victim. I'm not trying to say anything bad (or "good") about her. It was just a feeling I had and have about some actresses, quite probably in error. But I'd be interested to read the thoughts of others. Apologies if this has been covered before. I'm relatively new here. Thank you. |

IMO, from actresses I've chatted with and observed (not about bondage mind you): If they were into it I suspect it's basically for the 'challenge' of the role, to put themselves in a place mentally that would make them stand out in terms of an emotional performance. In interviews, as on sites with bondage model bios, most of them fake having an interest in it to titilate the type of fans that get off on it (ahem, us). I seriously doubt most of them 'play' in real life and just consider it part of their job (think of those "Maxim" 'interviews'). I won't go into irrelevant details but I know of at least one current bondage model with a completely fake bio (info based on a previous interview years before where she honestly stated she had no feelings for it) and many others float the same ridiculous story in their bios making themselves indistinguishable. |

Tuesday October 23 18:01:16 2007 Rambo (2008) |
The trailer for Sly Stallone's new Rambo pic went online today, and it shows Julie Benz lying on the floor of a jungle hut, tied hand and foot, no gag. You can never be sure, but my guess is that this will make the final cut, since Sly comes to her rescue just before the villain can be all villainous on her. Film is due out in January. |

Tuesday October 23 18:02:01 2007 Rachel Nicols - P2 |
I don't know if anyone had posted this, but we're gonna get at some handcuff scenes with Rachel Nicoles in the movie P2, released in November. In fact, almost all of her photos in the photogallery on IMDB had her in handcuffs. |

It's Blurry and Small, but you can see enough to know the original gag didn't make the cut. |

Just a note of additional info concerning Ladd: Quite a few years ago she starred in a made for TV movie opposite Sam Elliot based on some true life story that cast her as a victim. There was a little hands in front bondage scene along the way. She made a remark about it in an interview (I think maybe for TV Guide)that left the impression that she leaned away from being into it. What interested me though was that she stated something like "No Bound to Please for me, thanks". At that time Bound to Please was a genuine bondage publication. Hmm...wouldn't think you would be familiar with a magazine like that, Cheryl...or was it the writer who threw that remark in there? Anyway, someone was into things enough to raise a few eyebrows. It was so long ago that I can't remember hard and fast facts about all of it but that is the gist of what she said and the reference to Bound to Please stood out. I just offer it for background information. Maybe someone else remembers that interview. The one I always strongly suspected of being into it was Victoria Principle. Just something about that girl seemed to convey a distinct interest. |

I just remember the interview where Cheryl talked about being tied up and gagged in some made-for-TV movie, and then when the movie aired, there was no gag. Huge disappointment!! |
Tuesday October 23 23:52:18 2007 Oh Madeline |
At youtube, we found a clip with the opening theme where Madeline Kahn is tied back-to-back to a putz. Did the episode with this scene ever air? |
