Books
It's time for me to go on vacation. I need something to read and would like to find something with a good scene or two in it. Some of you helped me with this in the past. Anybody seen any recent books with scenes?

I read two recently:

"Fatal Voyage" by Kathy Reichs
(Good scene near the end of the book.)

"Entombed" by Linda Fairstein.

Both of these are decribed in the first person. Both end in the damsel's escape or rescue.

Any help to find some more of these would be appreciated.

Bloody Reunion
I saw this DVD cover recently:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B000LPS3AS/sr=1-1/qid=1188748250/ref=dp_image_text_0/002-0965803-8451245?ie=UTF8&n=130&s=dvd&qid=1188748250&sr=1-1

Does anybody know if there is an actual scene in this movie? I already checked the database for "Bloody Reunion" - no hits.

Sorry about the cut-and-paste; I'm not much of a computer wiz and didn't know how to post it as an image (assuming it were possible in the first place). Thanks in advance!

"The Devils Feather" by Minette Walters has a few scenes, most notably towards the end in chapter 17.

"The Man In The Brown Suit" by Agatha Christie has a good scene describing the heroines struggle to free herself.

"The Last Precinct" by Patricia Cornwell has a scene describing the heroine getting tied to a bed and gagged.

Both heroines survive.

In "The Last Precinct" the heroine later testifies before a grand jury and decribes the physical damage caused by being tied up and, especially, gagged.

"The Last Precinct" is first person, and ,IIRC, so is "The Man In The Brown Suit".

Both are also available as rental audio books read by actresses, which IMHO make the DID scenes even more interesting.

Thanks, Jacot, also Perilous, this gives me some choices to read while on vacation. I appreciate your help.

Last year, leads from this website led me to three good books for vacation reading. Where else can ya find help like that? Thanks, Brian, for making this page available to all of us.

Yep the acene is in there, and it's about as ridiculous as it looks in the pic. I grabbed it 'cause I'm a completist but if you aren't, don't bother with it.
