| Offhand, "Tarzan and the Slave Girls" comes to mind. Jane and a whole tribe of native women are kidnapped by slavers for a weird jungle kingdom, and it's up to Loincloth Boy to find her and them.
It's a pretty common theme. Doesn't always occur as the main motivator for the hero, though. Frex, in 'Son of Sinbad' it's the sidekick's hottie who's kidnapped, and the main action is surviving/defeating an evil caliph. (This one dates from the 50s.) In most serial killer flicks, at some point the cops know the serial killer has got his paws on a particular woman, and the suspense comes from rescuing her before he does that thing serial killers keep doing that makes the rest of us want to kill them. |

| Nothing on "Vanished" on Monday. They did uncover a tunnel which was used to stash the damsel after the kidnapping. The background looked the same as the promos showing Joanne Kelly tape-gagged, so when they finally show that scene it'll likely be in flashbacks. The smoking hot college-age daughter (Margarita Levieva) and reporter (Rebecca Gayheart) would be my top choices for scenes in this show. One promo for coming weeks appeared to show Leviera knocked out.
On "Prison Break," looks like a handcuff scene next week for Sarah Wayne Callies, whose told to "put your hands behind your back." But this might be just the beginning for trouble for Dr. Sara. The prison commander was fired and now he's on the trail of the cons for the reward money. He blames Dr. Sara for helping them escape, plus in flashbacks last season they showed him asking her out for a date and getting rejected. More than likely Dr. Sara will be held as bait for Schofield at some point. "Prison Break" is so ridiculous it's amazing and the show plays like an afternoon soap opera. There is so much time filler in each episode to drag out the series for a full season. But that likely will help in the chase for scenes. |

| Others may be up to speed, but it's news to me; & this might seem off-topic, but bear with me.
News Corp.'s Fox television unit is developing English versions of telenovellas, to air on a new "network" called "MyNetwork". I don't know exactly how this is going to work, they may just pop a "MyNet" logo on the screen when the local Fox channel airs the show(s), but they claim "the network will reach more than 94 percent of the country, including 97 of the top 100 markets". See the URL below for the full news article. So.. on topic? If MyNetwork dramas really *will be* English telenovellas, bound & gagged cuties ought to be popping on the screen on a regular basis! Am I right? How many telenovella alerts have we seen on this forum? :-) |

| Okay, the sharp eyed have noticed correct.
This YooTube clip (Homepage Link) is of same German show and same gal as the smoking clip I made for Bindher. "Club Der Starken Frauen aka Die Rote Meile" What I could use from the PAL boys like Peter, for us VHS machine boys over here, any idea whom the guy is in this vid? If reading correct, our next ep to air- "Eine Fesselnde Geliebte" If figure that guy in the guest cast? Let me know. Thanks What I say, if this show about a Peeler Club were to have a wild scene with one of the peelers, Pat Powers' wife probably find him out cold on the floor after he finds out. So obviously want to catch and send this down to him. ;) |

In one episode, cute and exotic Yasmina Filali (one of the ladies in question) gets caught by a madman, hogtied and tape-gagged. Lots of struggling, mmphhing and squirming around on the floor. I was never able to ID that episode beyond doubt; favouring "Gefährliche Liebschaft" (1.23). "Eine fesselnde Geliebte" is 1.16. |

My network TV is taking over the UPN/WB stations left behind by the new CW network. Fox owns a lot of these stations. The english telenovellas will air in primetime monday-friday, with a special recap show on saturday. Speaking of telenovellas, check out the new TV guide (nfl preview) on page 35 is a pictre from "Desire" showing Michelle Belegrin (I think) with hands duct taped in front and a gag hanging around her neck. |

Thanks for the info. My query was triggered by a TV ad which showed the beginning of a Dynasty-style catfight between Bo Derek & Morgan Fairchild!! (Both looked stunning, by the way.) Maybe my kitsch glass is half-full, but it looks like MyNetwork will be a guilty-pleasure alternative to the "singing"/"dancing"/"reality" shows cluttering Primetime. Color me... intrigued. :-) |

| Started to watch replay. Brunette handcuffed with hands behind her around a pole. Closeup of hands as she struggles. Caution, masked vamp starts to torture her after about a min. No scenes of captures or being handcuffed. Several times you see this brunette in TV monitors as we she the blonde later at 28 min.
Also Blade carries Trista over his shoulder as he dumps her into a cell for detox. No restraints and don't believe she was knocked out. |

This week's Entertainment Weekly (with the Project Runway guy on the cover) has an interview with Fairchild where she details how to achieve the best slap effects (she thinks Derek's long, silky hair flies around a lot better than hers, so you get a better visual effect). This one's definitely on the watch list. |
