Although the Law and Order scene also gave us some bare arms. My prediction: The gag scene will be little more than what we've seen already. And Diane Farr has a bunch of other credits for recent projects, and she was listed in the "with" category in the opening credits, so this may end badly for her character. |

Does anyone know whether this is a mistaken ID, or whether the IMdB is simply incomplete or in error. I'm capping this scene for Sunday's update, and a visitor who really knows his stuff says it's definitely Maro Mavri. He found her name with the film on a Greek web site. He also corrected an error on the "Mission Impossible 3" release date on DVD/VHS. Release date is Monday, Oct. 30. |

The "with" thing in the credits started last season, so it really doesn't mean anything. Not to worry, Miss Farr is with the show for the entire season. The producers just don't have a plan yet for her real-life pregnancy. Likely they just add some replacement hottie for half-a-dozen episodes later this season, like Connie Nielsen subbing for Mariska Harrigarty on "Law & Order." |

The prior post with the link was for the "Close to Home" episode. All the family members in the scene were credited except the oldest daughter. She was not credited. The mom, second daughter, son and female entering the house (Cake Lady) were all credited. Surprising since the oldest daughter is the only actress we really see in the opening scene other than the Cake Lady, who wasn't tied just killed. |

Saturday September 23 15:57:46 2006 Since I'm sure everyone here shares my enthusiasm... |
...for spoiling their weekend with serious contemplation of heady subjects, it occured to me that now would be a good time to remind everyone that today marks the beginning of Banned Books Week.
This year the American Library Association, those nice folks who at least tried to preserve your right to view and read this site directly from a public library supported by your federal taxes, is featuring Radcliffe College's list (a link to which is below) of the top 100 novels of the last century, and highlighting the 42 that have faced content challenges. Surprisingly, only two of those titles spawned movies that I recall having database scenes-Nobel laureate Toni Morrison's Pulitzer Prize-winning "Beloved" (Ayoka Dorsey in a flashback hanging scene) and "A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess (Adrienne Corri's legendary ballgagged "Singin' in the Rain" pas de deux with Malcom McDowell). Granted, that's not many-in fact, the only database-entry title I recognize among the 58 unchallenged works is Douglas Adams' "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (Zooey Deschanel in some kind of nonsensical execution scene, the details of which I don't seem to be able to recall at the moment). But to my mind at least, that's really not a cause for celebration. Society in general-and our particular segment of it in particular-must always be vigilant when it comes to confronting those who would suppress ideas by limiting others' access to them, regardless of the justifications they may offer. If they come for "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" in the morning, who can argue that they won't be back for "Let's Go Play at the Adams' " by nightfall? Incidentally, if I've missed any database titles in that list, don't hesitate to let everyone know. Okay, enough brooding; let's lighten up. How about an update on our great iPod adventure? Actually; this could at least be peripherally related to the above, since the first audiobook loaded onto said iPod after my query of a few weeks back (and thanks anyway to those of you who reminded everyone of Anne Rice's pseudonymously written "Sleeping Beauty" trilogy, but digitizing that long a tape recording would just be too daunting) is Alice Sebold's "The Lovely Bones," a bestseller from a few years back that ran into its share of static over its content. Anyway, Sebold's protagonist, a murder victim telling her story from a heavenly perspective (Aha! So THAT'S where they stole the idea for "Desperate Housewives" from!), relates being gagged about twenty minutes into the recording, but it's in conjunction with the aforementioned murder so it might not appeal to everyone here. Then about halfway through, at about six hours or at the end of Chapter 13, she relates a dream of seeing a woman led Joan of Arc-like through the streets and burned at the stake. No explicitly described bondage in either instance, but hearing Alyssa Bresnahan, a talented voice actress, read Sebold's prose is a pleasure. Should any more of interest present itself, you'll read about it here. And PLEASE, any of you who've read or listened to the book, DON'T SPOIL IT FOR US! By the way, does anyone know whatever happened to those plans once discussed here to make a movie out of Rice's "Sleeping Beauty" books? |

Some Interesting info from the IMDB about a Liv Tyler film to shortly start production:
STRANGERS (2007) A young couple cozied up in a vacation home are terrorized by three unknown assailants. We have all been dissapointed by promising plot outlines which do not produce, but Since Liv Tyler is high on my list of actresses who I want to iniated into the DID club, this is of interest. Liv's lips were tailor made for a nice tight cleave gag.... |

I looked at the link but could tell from the guest cast list who was who (except for the Cake Lady). can you tell me who played the mom & whatever daughter WAS listed? I recorded the part of the episode with the bondage scenes but never got the names of any of the victims. Thanks! |

Saturday September 23 22:25:22 2006 Las Vegas spoiler |
November 17 episode: Danny wonders where Delinda is when she doesn't answer her phone... if only he knew that a few miles away a sinister man nicknamed Mr. Chips has kidnapped Delinda and will require that Ed brings $50 million in cash to save his daughter from being buried alive. Ed demands that half of the amount be taken from the casino, even if it means closing half of the Montecito and make the establishment lose millions. When the employee doesn't want to follow orders, Ed fires him. Danny, still not knowing what is going on, tries to deal with the situation. An excited Mary presents to Mike the new Montecito mascot. Sam and Jillian also appear. Source: SpoilerFix.com
http://www.spoilerfix.com/vegas.php Episode is called 'Delinda's Box', so I predict she is just sitting in a box that is buried. Maybe the kidnapping itself will be shown. 2 part episode. Reliability of spoiler not guaranteed. |

Saturday September 23 22:47:18 2006 New media presents new opportunities |
I was thinking that there are some people who frequent this board who have websites that make the DiD videos that so many of us like. And I was thinking about the fact that some people are now releasing DVDs with all the "dirty" scenes elided. They avoid the problems with charges that they are hurting sales of the original artists' DVD by selling a copy of that DVD along with the bowdlerized one.
Well, it occurs to me that if the bluenoses can get away with censoring movies that way, we ought to be able to get away with adding more exciting DiD scenes to movies (and TV shows) that way. That is, you film an extension of the original DiD scene with actresses that look kinda like the original and then segue right back into the plot. You could even add in bondage scenes that SHOULD have existed in movies (The Collector, the Gor Movies, 9 1/2 Weeks) etc. You sell an original copy of each movie with your "extended" version. There's a court case now working its way through the system to determine if the unilaterial editing of such films is legal, even if you do sell a copy of the original with each altered version. I strongly suspect that I am not the only one who has come up with the idea that if it is legal to bowdlerize movies so long as you sell a copy of the original, unbowdlerized version, you should be able to make the version more explicit, in whatever way you want to define explicit, as well. if so, as soon as the courts settle things, if it's settled in favor of the bowdlerizers, there should be quite a few companies releasing "expanded" versions of popular films, with more explicit vanilla sex involving porn actresses made up to look like the originals, in sets resembling the originals. Wonder if any of our DiD filmmaking community has had any thoughts along those lines? |

Ann Lippert played the mom (Lanie Jenkins) and Brooke Sikkema played the youngest daughter (Mikki Jenkins). The brother was named Tommy Jenkins. I don't know the older daughter's name in the show other than the last name being Jenkins. By process of elimination and looking at the two females names at the IMDB, the older daughter is the one missing and not listed. Perhaps her people didn't want her first part credited in such a violent scene. |
