Good week for damsels
Is this week a damsel fest or what?
Hasn't been this much damsel activity in quite a while.
While flipping the dial tonight, caught the tail end of a show on Food Network of all places. Good Eats had a quick scene at the very end of the show with a tape gagged lady (maybe 40ish) tied to a chair at a table.

Looks like it's in the db already. Record number: 9189

Eureka DiD-scene... maybe?
"Eureka" just came through with a marginal scene. I mentioned that I saw a catfight in the previews montage of the first episode? Well, it just happened. The whole town is going crazy, and Allison (Salli Richardson) and Beverly (Debrah Farentino) decide to go at it. (Both are wearing dresses, by the way.) Anyhow, the Sheriff stops the fight, and to keep them apart while the weirdness wears off, he cuffs Allison to a doorknob and uses a cable-tie to attach Beverly to a radiator. Both ladies are secured by one hand, only. Later, he comes back and sets them free.

So... does it count? Is it dBase-worthy? The ladies were *most* appealing, they *did* catfight, and they *did* spend the night cuffed to objects. Should I add it to the dBase?

One gust of wind in what is shaping up to be a DiD perfect storm of a TV week. :-}

Nobody's mentioned anything about a scene on Ghost
Whisperer.

As mentioned by Jason, Ghost Whisperer is the same
channel and an hour earlier. It runs at 7pm Central/

Great to see you back buddy. Actually, I honestly never saw your site before, as I could never seem to hit it before the bandwidth was exceeded. Looks very inviting and many thanks to Mai and Stephanie for picking you up. I can't wait to see what transpires.

It's "Let's Cast a Screenplay, Folks" time again!
Disclaimer: This proposed screenplay, and all of the characters and events depicted therein, in keeping with the topicality guidelines of this site, are fictitious. Any similarity to actual persons, places, and events is entirely coincidental. Really. Seriously. Trust me. Would I lie?

Okay, let's say there's this family, see. Husband, wife, middle age, very successful-oh, let's make 'em real estate agents or something like that. You know, real type A types (gee, is that redundant?). As for a setting, let's put 'em back East, but not in a big city; you'll see why in a little bit. Somewhere in Connecticut or New Hampshire, maybe, where the houses are big and the lots bigger. Now, let's add a little conflict. They've got this daughter who's on the cusp of adulthood, only it's apparent she hasn't inherited her parents' Type A genes. For one thing, she's in love with this guy who's (enter numerous undesirable personality characteristics of your choice here) and he also just happens to be...well...er, ah...let's just say that when he comes home to meet Mom, Mom stammers, "Well, honey, he's...well...er, ah...he's...TALLER than I thought he'd be. Yeah, that's right, taller!" You get the idea.

Anyway, daughter gets in a family way courtesy of Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome, and and things go completely Stephen King when Mom and Dad find out. Cut to a scene of particular interest to us: A Mercedes or Lexus sedan, maybe, barrelling down an interstate with Dad behind the wheel and Mom beside him, both furtively glancing about as if looking for the cops. Our first hint of the source of their nervousness is an audible one-mmphs and moans coming from the back seat. Mom turns to look, the camera following to reveal her pride and joy bound hand and foot and tightly cleave-gagged. I think your imagination can take it from there.

You know, I keep seeing Lindsay Lohan in the big role. She's about the right age and it's about time she got it good, don't you think? The only problem then is who to cast as the parents. Jane Fonda as Mom opposite Lohan would generate some buzz right about now, but frankly, she's too old. Blythe Danner could probably still pull Mom off, but sadly there'd be little chance of the long-awaited collaboration with daughter Gwyneth Paltrow. She's past the point of playing young adults any more. Natalie Portman might be good as the daughter; Kirsten Dunst could probably still do it, but whether she'd want to may be an issue. Well, there's always Scarlett Johansson.

Oh, I just thought of someone who'd still make a good Mom if we're casting for Lifetime instead of the big screen-Kate Jackson! About time she became a Give-and-Getter. Lord knows she "got" often enough. Ever run her name through the database and count the hits? In fact, her old sidekick Jaclyn Smith wouldn't be half-bad either.

Any other ideas, ladies and gentlemen?

Hey, KaoWi, this is very good news indeed. I've missed connecting with you. I hope the new association works to everyone's advantage!

BTW: I believe, back in the '50s, we spelled it, "CowaBUNga." At least, that's how Buffalo Bob pronounced it. (Man, what a show. Even as a kid, I was into fantasizing about Princess Summer-Fall-Winter-Spring!)

Was a head KO from the side. Not really shown, just her head moving to the side.

I thought the scene was pretty good, with the blindfold my only complaint. Also, that gag was tight. When you run the scene, check out Erbe's nostriles flaring like crazy. Always like seeing that once in a while. Maura Tierney in "Oxygen" had some of that as well.

The Bronk scene was terrific. I tried to find out who that actress might be but no luck. Looks like "Bronk" was a made-for-TV pilot movie in 1975 and not a series.

Will these do for the moment?
The upside-down one is Nestor's view from the floor after he's slugged by the villain!

How I made the caps:

1. Disconnect from Internet once clip starts. It will keep running, and can be replayed until you log off.

2. Freeze frame and capture with Paint Shop Pro 7.

3. Correct aspect ratio (well, approximately) with Distort tool, and enhance with Fade Correction, Contrast Correction, and Sharpen.

4. Save as .jpg at compression = 1.

Not a great deal better, but at least a record!

Actually "Bronk" was a series that lasted for a handful of episodes. TNT ran a few (but not all) of the episodes around 1998 as part of their afternoon detective block.

There were three scenes in its short run. All were rather brief. There were two unknowns (including the nurse) and a short tape gag scene for Meg Foster. She actually wasn't bound because she was in an iron lung! If I recall correctly, she may have been chloroformed first.

It doesn't look like this is one of the "repurposed"
series that runs on Bravo. No indication of it running
anywhere over the next couple of weeks.

It's recommended that people use online TV listings
(example below) for these sorts of questions.

There is a quick scene in the first 20 min also. When examing the second set of bones, they discuss that the victim was hung upside-down. You then see the chain and feet as they are being raised, along with bound hands a gagged mouth. This is not the same girl found in the last 12 min.

She was take out to a van by her ex-husband. She was put in the back where her son had his hands bound. She was not gagged or bound. Only previews I saw her where she went to a window and banged on it, but was not bound. Odds are very thing that she would be bound.

Numbers * Close to Home
CBS has been running commercials several times this night.
Numbers has her moaning in the trunk, should be good.
Close To Home has what looks to be mom on the bed with tape gagged mouth, hands bound behind her, and feet bound by tape. She is wearing jeans and is barefoot also. Looks to be her two daughters on the floor in the corner. They are bound and gagged also. Episode talks about five people being taking from them.

Thanks a lot for uploading a clip Stephanie! This is definitely an awesome scene for us AOH snobs. Erbe looked great tightly stretched out AOH in that sleeveless tee while sweaty. She even had a little mid-riff showing which I am a big fan of. Now if only there could be a similar scene for the "Blade" chick or Mariska Hargitay from the other L&I show.

Yep, Eva Green plays Vesper Lynn in the new bond movie. I read Ian Fleming's novel of Casino Royale already and it said Vesper will be kidnapped by the bad guys. She wasn't bound in the novel, but apparently she is in the movie.

Penetration Angst (2003; Germany)
After Stephanie posted about the update at Major John's, I did a search for Fiona Horsey (who stars in the clip from Twisted Sister).

I found the page below, on a German movie site, which has pics of a movie called Penetration Angst, which stars Mrs. Horsey.

I can't tell if that's her in the first pic, but even if it isn't, at least we know there's another movie with a cute barefoot brunette tied and gagged (there is another shot of this pic at the site with her gagged with black duct tape, but there's a putz in the shot, so I didn't post it here).

Has anyone seen this and can post a database submission?
