Carrie Hamilton had a long, good, well-lit one. |

Friday September 29 01:07:07 2006 Desaparecida |
I stumbled across this clip on Youtube. Its title is "Desparecida," featuring a kidnapped Francisca Queiroz. This is a Brazilian production that hasn't (might? already did? will never?) get off the ground as a feature-length flick. But someone got this 10-minute segment and posted it, and it's really something. The B'n'G piece is upfront and doesn't last that long, but the entire scene is very realistic, and she's really into the emotion of the situation. Hope the film does (did?) get made.
I do not speak Portuguese. Is there someone out there who does who could watch this clip and let us know what her dialogue is about? I can't get Babelfish to translate the title. Wild guesses: "The Missing Woman," or maybe "The Despairing". I'll try to get a real translation, Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2tD2dm4jnk Dannysuling |

Database has one entry (Elisa Heinsohn) Kind of suprised, as the show about abunch of dancers and my air-sched doesn't have any DiD'ish plots listed. Don't mind doing a favour? Have a look through the air-sched grid (Homepage). Show around 5pm ish If you find, let me know and I'll get it clipped up for the boys here |

The Heinsohn scene was in one of the last seasons. If they're showing the series in order, there's quite a way to go to that and the Carrie Hamilton scene, which was a year or two before this. Heinsohn, by the way, replaced Carrie-Ann Moss as the secretary on Dark Justice, but never had a scene. I have a couple of photos of this scene slated for the next update on my group. Hope to have them up this weekend. The scene was dimly lit and I was shooting off the screen, so they're not great. I do have the scene on tape somewhere. At some point, I'll have a chance to sort through my tapes to find it and arrange to get it to a clipper. There is putz involvement, but a nice touch develops out of that as the pair (who wre supposed to be romantically involved) go through some gyrations to pull each other's tape gags off (pseudo-kissing?). And Heinsohn was quite stunning - of all the female stars on the show, second to Nia Peeples in my opinion. |

Show did well ratings-wise to start, but didn't see anything lately on how it did for the entire run. Show was awful. Jill Wagner does have a new Mercury commercial out but our chances to see her B&G just ended for now. |

The brunette choloformed was repeated in the opening minutes in Friday's "Guiding Light" but it was shorter than the Thursday scene. Only a few seconds and the damsel was not shown again, and nothing in the Monday preview. |

Personally, I didn't like the show but I thought it would survive among the other pre-pubescent, adrenaline-pumping, shows of Spike. |

Spike-TV is *NOT* "pre-pubescent". It's solidly adolescent. ...Okay, *early*-adolescent. |

Just had a part 1, gal was sent out to the rubbish bin and ran into a cross dog, which she scared off. But was attacked/dragged off by a wacko whom figures he's a cross dog. Impression (missing signs), other gals have been dragged off. then the whole Born psyche-evaluation stuff on the wacko up to the end of the ep. Leading to part 2, Polizei shot some wild dogs and are checking into a cave? Appears may have a shot at a rescue in part 2? Like an idea for a better VHS machine alert. Thanks |

Friday September 29 14:58:35 2006 Another puzzle from '50s TV |
I've run across another puzzle. I've got 2 clips that came to me labeled as "Highway Patrol," an old US TV series from the early 1950s, starring Broderick Crawford. I've posted them in a zipfile here:
http://rapidshare.de/files/34898045/HPclips.zip.html The first clip is a few seconds of a DiD bound and gagged in what seems like a closet, who is in process of freeing herself. That's it. The second clip is a longer scene at a mountain/desert cabin, where a ransom is being delivered by parents (accompanied by a pilot) to free the DiD, their daughter. This clip came to me labeled as episode "The Plane." In Brian's dB, there are 3 entries for Highway Patrol: 2969 ("The Robbery") 2970 ("Roadblock") 2971 ("The Plane") The only description in the dB for all three is "bound and gagged." Not too helpful, no DiD IDs, but understandable--it's a very old series. The IMdB is singularly unhelpful, since it has an incomplete listing of episodes for this show, and very sketchy cast lists. But, interestingly enough, there exists a website dedicated to this show (hard to believe, but true): http://www.highwaypatroltv.com That site has a "complete" listing of all episodes (although no good cast listings). Now, here's the problem: "Roadblock" is clearly Episode 1.1, but the description doesn't really correspond to either of the clips I have. There is no episode called "The Robbery." There's "Plant Robbery" (1.25), "Art Robbery" (1.34), "Motel Robbery" (2.11), "Train Robbery" (4.8), "Split Robbery" (4.13), "Gem Robbery" (4.19), and "Diversion Robbery" (4.21). The only description that comes close to my first clip is 4.13--but I'm reluctant to conclude that this ID is correct, without some outside confirmation. There is no episode called "The Plane." Not even remotely. There are a few with the word "Copter" included, but none of the episode descriptions comes anywhere close to nailing the scene, which is clearly a kidnap-for-ransom scene. Can anyone help with this--and thus help clear up the database as well? Check out the scenes and let us all know! Thanks |

Kudos to the TV execs. And to touch on a very old subject, yes, I agree that tv execs do not read this forum with any regularity, they do not take us into account when programming their networks, they are in no possible way influenced by us, and yet, it seems that season openers, season closers, and some sweeps weeks have more fem jep storylines than the rest of the season. I don't see it as a coincidence but maybe it is. |
