What was the name of that Lifetime movie that she was in a few months back? She was an undercover cop or something & she was on her honeymoon when her new in-laws show up. Then all 4 get taken hostage & tied up in some pantry. Anybody have a clue?
I checked the database & it wasn't there… |

Tuesday October 17 15:28:46 2006 RE: TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, THE BEGINNING |
There was a bondage sighting in this film as the lovely Doria Baird was bounded hand and foot under the table of the Hewitt family's kitchen. However when a friend came to visit them they opted not to gag her which did'nt make sense. Plus she did'nt yell for help when the guest was there, did'nt make sence at all, would have been a great scene if she was tightly cleved! |

Tuesday October 17 17:06:01 2006 One Way Conversations |
For whatever reason, I think one of the most villainous aspects of damsel in distress scenes is what I call the classic "one way conversation." You know, villain has a gagged damsel in his clutches, and he spends a good portion of time pontificating and droning on and on as she looks on in silent frustration.
It's a great element of the DiD scene, I believe. One of those scenes was posted here, in YouTube form. It was from Italy or Spain, I think. The villain talked FOREVER as the damsel could only look on. The "one way conversation" is great for DiD fans because the camera frequently switches to the gagged damsel, which presents excellent opportunities for eye rolling, emoting, etc. Plus, there's just something deliciously wicked about the bad guy getting to say whatever he wants, and the damsel is shutout of the conversation. Anyone else agree with me? |

Remember it this way: Guy holding gir's mouth (hand-gag): topical Guy holding girl's arms: not topical. Hope that clarifies it for you, because it sure doesn't for me. |

Although I thought the film was a ton of fun, as far as DiD goes, it's a big upset. I mean, sure, we had some relatively decent NON-GAG scenes, but there was just tons of untapped potential.
In the dinner table scene, Jordana Brewster is tied to the armrests of a chair. Ok. Good so far .. You guys should know just how much I admire the stunning Jordana. Soon after, she's actually TAUNTING and INSULTING the family, and yet, NO GAG. It's truly BS, especially considering the fact that if this movie was gunning for homage to the original, and it clearly is, the gag should've been there. The shittiest thing is that I know Brewster's gonna get a scene EVENTUALLY, since she's far from A-list. I'm just so impatient .. I feel bad for some of you guys who've waited half a lifetime to see your favorite birds in the bonds; and next thing you know, it'll be my turn! |

The guest is a part of the family and she likes to drug people while having tea. |

Not to speak for the Big Guy, these are his policies, but I take the difference as being that a handgag is a direct form of restraint, no ifs ands or buts about it, while holding someone's arm could happen in different contexts that have little to do with bondage. |

I also concur strongly on this. One of the scenes that comes to mind is the first b&g scene in the movie "Lone Star State of Mind" where the redneck tells the cute blondie captive "If there's one thing that I love more than a beautiful girl, it's a beautiful girl BOUND AND GAGGED!" to which the feisty but restrained girl gets really riled up about...great scene!!! |

Ah, a Mac-T on the media type *consistency* question huh? Have it wrote down somewhere, but believe the "being held" allowed was a plant on a cartoon character in the Database? but it does sound similar, perhaps the Moderator has different standards for DB & Discussion page? |

Hey listen - I don't mean to stir anything up. I really like this site a lot. But what I like is definitely bondage of sorts. Topics of handcuffs, gags, hand-gags, tied up, etc. Various forms of bondage. I guess none of you find this of interest, but I just thought that maybe since everyone here is always checking out distress scenes - someone might have some insight off the top of their head that relates. |
