| It really is too bad about the blood in that scene because it's a really intriguing scene. That's not just a ballgag, it's one of those huge ballgags that I've never seen worn properly by anyone who's not a bondage model. (Julie Brown wore a huge ballgag in "Plump Fiction" but she wore it entirely outside her mouth for comic effect.) The actress actually had the thing in her mouth, and there aren't a lot of actresses who would handle that without complaint, I bet.
That's also quite a wide spreadeagle. The only spreadeagles I've seen like it in mainstream media is one from Farscape in which Claudia Black wears black pants and the scene is severely underlit, and one from the Howard Stern show in which an internet model is tied up for some tickling by a professional tickler. The Stern scene was actually better than the Dexter scene, well lit and the model was wearing a thong and it was a wider spreadeagle, but then, you had to watch the Stern show to see it, so there's a definite tradeoff there. Finally, as already observed, gravity boots as bondage devices, nice touch. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm pretty sure that whoever staged that scene has looked at Internet sexual bondage images and understood their appeal. |

I'm not sure how closely the series is sticking to the book, but towards the end of the novel, Dexter's cop sister (played by Jennifer Carpenter in the series) gets kidnapped by the serial killer they're chasing and gets bound and gagged with duct tape. |

| last night (I just watched the tape)
In Her Mother's Footsteps (2006) Emma Caulfield there were some gruesome flashbacks of a blond woman slashed to death while bound AOH. At the very end Emma manage to briefly get her hands tied in front but there was NEVER a good view of her tied hands. I plan on taping over it it wasn't worth saveing IMHO. |

There are two DiDs in the clip: the unknown (to me) guest actress with the bit gag, and Nichols after that, with no gag. I've fixed my database to make this more clear. Reminds me that I need to go write up an entry for this one, though the scenes are so dark and quick-cut that I'll probably keep it pretty short. |

Kinda disappointing...the re-enactments consisted mostly of shots that didn't really show the people clear. The scene the photo comes from has him binding her legs and you see her on the bed as in the promo photo as they mention what was done to her...but for some reason she was a little out of focus during the few seconds that you see her... The promo image is a great image...but nothing is that clear in the show... Pity, too...so much they could have done to show the bondage. Although, if you'll remember, I believe it was Shawnee Smith who portrayed a victim and Gerald McRaney played Wilder in a tv movie based on the case. And while we saw Shawnee bound hand and foot...it was a short scene. And as for the talk about the Dexter scene...I thought it was a great scene! |
