Sunday August 27 09:50:40 2006 Philly area Hooters Promo |
Local Philly Hooters hottie Alise is in handcuffs as part of an in-restaurant promo sheet for a fantasy football party package available at Philly area Hooters. There's nothing indicating why she is in handcuffs other than the connection to the word fantasy. Naturally I'd have to agree with that word association.
Alise was the Hooters magazine cover girl for issue 61 (see link below to see what she looks like without handcuffs). |

Ad campaign for this fashion company has rope, models... One ad has one model's leg tied to a chair. A couple of others have models' legs tied to each other. But so far none I've seen have hands tied. I saw them in the current Harper's Bazaar--I'm posting the only one I've found online. |

Sunday August 27 14:38:24 2006 Brooke Burns movie |
"Trophy Wife" stars Brooke Burns about woman trying to find her husband's killer. Title sounds familiar but not sure if this has aired yet. 2006 movie. Lifetime tonight from 8 to 10. |

Lifetime tonight from 8 to 10. --- My newspaper's TV guide lists tonight as its premiere ("A blackmailer threatens to blackmail a woman for murder."). It repeats Thursday, August 31 @ 7:00PM ET. Perhaps a more promising premise is Lifetime's "Circle of Friends" starring Julie Benz, which premieres Monday, August 28 @ 9:00PM ET ("A woman probes the death of her husband and her classmates."). |

OK, thanks for the update. Glad these are premieres. A scene with Brooke Burns would be a nice end-of-summer surprise. These plotlines always focus on the husband killed, faking a death, returning from the dead. All usually work OK for scene potential. |
Sunday August 27 17:29:12 2006 Gwendoline review |
There's a review of the movie Gwendoline at the Onion, under the headline "Films that Time Forgot". The reviewer fails to realize that if a film contains certain scenes, some of us will never forget.

Sunday August 27 18:32:14 2006 You, Me, Dupree and the Flash |
Bit of a longshot here but i saw the film You Me and Dupree earlier today. While there wasn't a scene per se, there was a glimpse of a comic book cover which appeared to have a DiD cover.
It's about 50m in, Dupree is working out and at one point he is doing sit ups while two kids sat in front of him read different issues of The Flash. It's the one to the left of the screen that caught my eye. As best i can recall it showed a darked haired spandex clad woman (didn't recognise the costume but i assume it was a heroine, not a villian) on her knees, wrapped in what looked like glowing yellow ropes while another woman stood over her (and i think Flash was coming in from the side). I don't suppose anyone can identify the issue in question from that description can they? |

Sunday August 27 18:51:59 2006 Different tape gags |
I may be way off and over generalising here but it seems to me that from the clips i have and that appear on these sites and youtube there is a bit of a split in the tip of tape gags used. It seems in American and UK films/tv shoes that black and silver duct tape gags are most prominent where as a lot of French Italian Spanish etc are more likey to use a different type of tape usually white or brown. It seems that way anyway, have to say i like a break from the silver duct tape. |

Terrific thick cleave gag, and she is quite a looker. And that's from just looking at the stills. Well, on to the trailer. |

Lot of scenes on youtube from Hong Kong, where they use yellow and brown tape. |

They consist of a supple cloth, sometimes as stretchy and conformal as the classic Elastoplast product, with a strong zinc oxide adhesive. Being designed to stick firmly to human skin for days at a time, such tape is much better for gagging than any kind of duct or gaffer tape. It leaves a sticky white residue, which only prolonged washing with warm, soapy water will remove. The white stuff, once used for general as well as medical purposes, is now scarce in the UK, but the brown tape is still in every high street pharmacy. Yet, for some reason, the only British TV show to use it in recent decades was "A Touch of Frost", in which Camille Coduri was gagged and blindfolded with it. I guess most of the TV people lazily use whatever comes most readily to hand, and in a studio that is gaffer or duct tape. Also, probably, monkey see Yankee, monkey do. |

Watched the final 1:15 and nothing of interest. I assume nothing in the opening 45 minutes either. |
