Warning 6 minutes of inspired slapstick for short scenes of comedy bondage

Will this movie be shown in theaters, or will it be released directly to DVD?

Hi Jay...Yea, I saw the list, and knew/eventually saw many of the scenes on that list. (From Carl McGuire's columns that were originally in Bondage Life magazine (and reproduced 1991-92), and the previously written about Marburger book). But, I didn't understand the link between A Cry In The Night and Problem Girls.

Anyway, did you write that Cry In The Night is definitely going to be televised in your area soon?

I would be tempted to purchase the DVD for $13, but don't have the means to make caps even if I got it, and there's apparently always some "doubting thomas" types who will dispute things (without proof).

BTW, for a topic, if anyone's interested;
How often DO scenes of interest end up getting cut from movies?
Before, or after, the release?
I know from McGuire's writings that some did end on the cutting room floor, but don't recall what they were right now.

Well, there is Claire Forlani's famously missing chair tie scene in "Mystery Men."

Yep, just thought of another - a few maybe. The Superman series (Phyllis Coate, Noel Neill) had the episode (Missing Statues) where Coates was being taken to the airport via automobile, and she was forced into the back seat when the car was stopped by a cop.
There may have been other Superman episodes where some scenes just vanished.

The way I remember the interview Mira Sorvino said: "I was tied to a chair. I was tied to a chair and I was gagged."
Then, as Tapemaster reported, she possibly said something about the guy saying "Sorry about the prophylactic." Then she said, "They gagged me with a prophylactic!"
And that was the end of it.

Hadji, my friend, always remember... the imdb is your friend. :-)
Theatrical release in the US: 27 March 2009.
I found the trailer on YouTube, and there is *one* blink-and-you'll-miss-it glimpse of Ashley bound on the bed. Her face (and any gag or clown makeup or whatever she might be wearing) is never shown. She's a blonde with a short blond crop in this movie, and is as cute and tombot-feisty as ever. The movie itself looks like "Diehard With Bruce Willis Unavailable".

I went looking on channels like driveinclassic for "A Cry In The Night" and came across "Problem Girls". Might have missed it if wasn't looking. Thanks again

Unfortunately, it's not scheduled to air in the next couple of weeks. But I've got it marked for DB Editor purposes. Thanks

Quite a bit. One channel cuts it in exchange for ads, another channel airs it and cuts something else.

Give you one.
I knew from Pat Powers the shackle scene from "House of 1000 Dolls" was cut. Pat had snarked on it and I was annoyed I missed it in favour of some makeup commercials.

1000 Dolls aired on another channel. Pat's shackle scene was in, but they cut the gals sawing their wrist bonds, went right to the upskirt escape scene.

I realise women need products to "keep us noticing them". But a pain in the arse to have to tape twice to get both scenes. ;)

Got it. Thanks for clearing everything up. BTW, as I order that DVD, will report on what scenes are/are not present. Although, as we know, that's not a definitive account should no scene be there.

12 Rounds
Trailer on Raw last nite showed 3 pictures in Cenas hands. 1 pic has a closeup of Ashley Scott duct tape gagged, 1 has a decent medium range shot, couldnt see the middle pic. A closeup of her hands showd her struggling a little, she is bound with black zip ties. Looks like we could get a decent scene. Anyone who saw Trish Stratus' scene knows WWE can do bondage right. The nice black tape gag, the way Melina manhandled and taunted her....anyone who films bondage needs to see it

Japanese Damsel in Distress
Finally got in a new series that I feel would be of particular interest to Brian's Page readers. These are DID-006,DID-007 and RE-001. These are storyline dvds with onscreen tying, gagging, hand gagging. No nudity or sex.

Bondage For Hollywood column
I see one of the posters mentioned Carl McGuire from the old Harmony Bondage Life magazines. That was one of my most anticipated sections as I waited for the next issue to come out. Funny how those small photos in his section were my world back then.

Was he the first to focus on manstream DID's in a printed column? Has he ever had a DID site or without sounding too disrespectful is he still around? I don't know much about his age so I am not sure. In my book he started an era, though this site carried it to a much greater arena.
Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but not sure who else to ask on this.

In the olden days, before the Internet became accessible to the general public, people with our proclivities had to rely on magazines as the forum in which we expressed our ideas. I vividly recall eagerly awaiting the publication of each new "Bondage Life" issue, because I would immediately peruse Carl McGuire's "Bound for Hollywood" column. This was basically the only resource people such as ourselves had back then to inform us which movies we should rent at the local video store and which television programs we should record. His column was also illustrated with pictures of bound and gagged actresses.
With the proliferation of the Internet, publications such as "Bondage Life" became obsolete and defunct. People such as ourselves, however, still retain fond memories of it and still appreciate Carl McGuire's quarterly column. We still remember going to the video store armed with knowledge gleaned from reading his column. The pleasure we felt when the scenes described vividly in his column would materialize on our television screens was unparalleled.
Carl McGuire worked hard creating his quarterly column, watching hours of television and videos, and painstakingly compiling stills of the scenes that would be of interest to us, and composing accurate descriptions. He will not be forgotten.
