Mutant Chronicles
I've just bought this on dvd,and hope there's going to be a scene with Devon Aoki.Loved her only known moment in D.O.A.Personally though,I think this show has been cancelled. Is this right? How it fares for damsel in distress scenes, remains to be seen.Another disappointment, perhaps?

Right on Pat !!!!!!!

We've had the 'quantity vs quality' discussion several times over the past decade, or so, and I feel that 'Buffy' is a prime example.

While there may be a goodly number of scenes on 'Buffy' that do meet the very broad definition of Damsel In Distress, as Pat pointed out most scenes were no gag or loosies.

IMHO, 'Buffy' and SMG had such a devoted following that any scene, no matter how lame, that came even remotely close to a DID situation was/is trumpeted to the heavens like it was the second coming.

Of course it's quite possible to have empowered women and bongage scenes without one compromising the other, I think anyone who's seen The Avengers knows that.

Personally, with or without a gag I think any scene with an Emma Peel style action heroine is worth 10 with a more demure damsel

Damn straight. If you have a female character who's an active person who gets out there and does things and mixes it up with bad guys and girls, it only stands to reason they'll get captured and tied up more often than a more demure damsel. Emma Peel is a good example, but there's a more recent example that's just as good or better: Xena the Warrior Princess. She had some of the most EXTREME bondage scenes on mainstream television. Hogtied in chains. Wearing that door-sized yoke. Strapped into that bondage chair. But nobody called her a wimpy DiD. Same with Alias, come to think of it. The rule seems to be, you can subject a female character to all sorts of bondage, as long as she kicks ass. Works for me.

Amen from this corner also. Always thought it was way cool for the girl - sorry, woman - to be kickin' butt before and/or after she was captured. Just wanted her to be tied up in there somewhere. (And if she wanted to fight the bonds too, well even better.)

Still no entries in the database. What's been the best scene thus far?

Only saw three of the episodes. The best is probably the first one, since I believe it was the only one with gags.

I've only seen two. The one two weeks ago had a blonde secured to a pipe by a handcuff on one wrist. Not much. This Friday's ep had some guy interference and was shot in that stupid green night light effect, but it involved a competitive escape from straight jackets, and lemme tell ya, there was some STRUGGLING goin on. Also there was a big boa constrictor slithering around to encourage the contestants.

The Girls Next Door
The Girls Next Door series finale came through with a cute scene last night. Holly Madison (girlfriend number 1) did a nude photoshoot in the pool, tied in chains. On E!, the nudity is fuzzed out, but you can catch the full nudity when the scene is released on DVD sometime in the future. Episode title "Third Time's The Charming".

ROSTRO DE ANALIA
Nothing on tonights episode or in promos for tomorrow. The scene shown in promos will probably occur sometime this week. From my quick look it didn't appear that the woman was one of the two leads, but I could be wrong. The only thing I can say for sure is that she's wearing a yellow outfit. So we'll just have to keep an eye out for someone in yellow.
