I agree; what enriles me is that I curtailed my workout at the gym in order to make it home in time to catch this scene. I LOVE seeing A-list actresses bound and gagged. I did make it home in time to see Ms. Hudson being forced into a mansion while bound and gagged, but, alas, that's all I saw that was worthwhile. As our esteemed colleague Van states, unfortunately, "It's not about the bondage." It may not be, but it should be.

There have been several instances where a bondage scene is either heavily truncated or entirely excised when a movie or the rerun of a program is aried on television. The most egregious example of this that I recall is an episode of a defunct late night crime drama entitled "Hot Shots". In this episode, the gorgeous female member of the duo, Dorothy Parke, is grabbed by a college wrestling coach and bound and gagged. He proceeds to knock out her male colleague, but leaves him unconscious. In the original broadcast, she is shown bound and gagged in the corner of a room, and then crawling on her hands and knees, still bound and gagged, towards her unconscious male colleague. In a later broadcast of this episode, the bondage scenes were excised completely.

Hey, I contributed something useful!
I'm glad my post actually did something, even if Raffish ended up doing the heavy lifting. Thanks again for your work. Someday I'll get a job again and will gladly send you some $$ to join your site. I think I now have about 6+ gB of clips you've posted - for free - over the years.

Cut Scenes
There is an occasionally posted advertising pic for 'The Power' [1968] that has George Hamilton removing Suzanne Pleshette's gag.

No such scene in any of the broadcast versions that I have seen.

However, there is a scene with George Hamilton, Suzanne Pleshette, and Nehimiha Pershoff [sp] where she says to Nehimia something along the lines of 'you sure did a good job of tieing me up' and he sheepishly shrugs his shoulders, or something similar.

Searching for scenes back in the stone age
Way back when the boomers here were just starting to realize that they liked seeing bound and gagged women, TV Guide used to be this 'Readers Digest' sized magazine that actually provided program descriptions for shows broadcast in your specific area !!!!!!!!!!

It usually ran postage stamp size pics advrtising some shows.

Pics of tied up ladies were not uncommon among those, and were just about the only advance notice we had of a scene, other than a promo that aired during another show.

The only other source for scenes were the same type, often the same pic. of advertisements that would be in the TV section of the local Sunday paper.

Ring any bells ??????

Legend of the Seeker upcoming scene
Looks like TV karma may be helping us out. Cute blonde Jessica Marais beat the crap out of a putz in this show a couple of weeks ago and it looks like we'll at least get to see her strung up by the wrists in next weekend's episode. Video link to the preview in the video page.

At least 1 syndicated show is back to give us scenes.

Happy anniversary

Back on March 15, 1997 (twelve years now?) this site was launched with this message posted to usenet:

I have started up a page dedicated to discussion on the topic of bondage scenes from mainstream media. The page doesn't have a lot to it yet (I only worked on it for a few hours so far), but it does have forums for posting about trades, VCR alerts, and general discussion.

There have been some extra challenges this year, but as always, it's happy anniversary to all of you, because YOU make this page what it is.

Happy anniversary and, once again, thank you for all that you do to keep the site up!

Every year, I say the same thing: It just seems longer than x years. This may have been the first site I bookmarked on the Internet and I can barely remember the days of not being on web.

West Coast Alert for X Men the Last Stand
About 10 minutes ago saw a scene on the FX showing of X-Men of Mystique chained hands behind, pretty much naked as usual, first being interrogated in a chair and then leaping behind her interrogator and choking him with the chains she's cuffed with.

I might have some senior scene creep happening, while I was chopping ice a little while ago, it suddenly popped into my head, that maybe the gag removing scene was in the movie, not really sure now. But nothing else was shown, even though they talked about her getting tied up.

Always seemed strange that they left that little piece of dialog in.

Anybody ?????????

Hard Luck
Posted alerts in the alerts for this movie

Started watching around 15' mark, gal seating in chair with hands attached to chairs arms and feet attached to the legs. Strap around her head. Every so often she is shown and at one time she has her feet spread. Wearing bra and panties. Dies with a hard attack before 45' mark with a funnel in her mouth.

Following is from poster last month since I ahve not seen it yet so may occur in the last hour: "i saw the gorgeous aubrey dollar laying on a basement floor with her hands tied behind her back. no gag. she was trying to get a beaten up putz to untie her. after that she was strapped down to a gurney for a long time but not gagged."

Assume Dollar is the stripper that is with Snipes during the first hour, but not sure.

Happy anniversary!
Twelve years. Wow! It always amazes me when I think about Brain's starting in 1997, because that's the same year I got my first ISP account, and by the time I got here the place felt like it had been a community for years. It still feels just as vibrant and welcoming.

Happy anniversary, Brian! Thank you for your dedication.

Congratulations on another year! As someone who remembers searching the old alt.sex.bondage newsgroup and someone who was here at the very beginning, I just want to say thank you to Brian and everyone who contributes.

This site is much better than the old newsgroup and I am sure most of our collections have grown tremendously thanks to it. Happy anniversary!

Sleuth Channel at 3am eastern late tonight (or earlier Monday morning for those setting their clocks) Other times posted in alert page.

Here are some rough times, 20' through 45' is the first damsel (keep in mind I didn't watch first 15') with several scenes with her. Legs straped to adjustable legs and a head harness that keeps her head still.

Second gal grabbed around 60' mark and shown later in the same chair that the previous damsel was. Thrown down basement and removed from basement somewhere around 1hr10' to 1hr20'. Shown again in chair somewhere around the 1hr40'mark in the chair as Cybil Shepherd comes upto her.

Snipes is shown next to her around the 45' mark and continues as the damsel sets there during when Snipes is punched. Snipes sets her free around the 1hr54'mark.

Use the times accordingly and only as a guide and not to be set in gold. (still not sure what happens in the first 15 minutes.)

Stripper was shot so she ain't the gal I thought.

It sure does, and the one I've always remembered was from a show I hardly ever watched, "Matt Houston." (He was sort of a second-string "Magnum P.I." It had something to do with his girlfriend being kidnapped or in danger. Anyway, nice facial of a pretty, gagged woman. Of course you always checked the numerous detective shows, because they were generally your best bet. And learned to sort of speedread the TV Guide, always looking for words like kidnap, ransom, (lady) goes undercover, and the like. Unfortunately you looked for "rapist" too - not hoping to see the act of course, but because it could involve abduction and so bondage. Going back to my convention story, I guess the thing I wanted to get across was that it was so exciting back then to find something you didn't even KNOW you were looking for; finding the Grail at a garage sale. I guess there's still some of that today, but it seems to happen very quickly. That's okay, but the old way just seemed more rewarding when it did happen.

That gag removing scene still remains in the movie - last time I saw it, at least a few years ago. I've seen that, along with a photo and description, in the old time Carl McGuire columns from Bondage Life. He described the missing footage- (maybe in the 1970's somewhere), so the tie up scenes were cut years and years back. That missing scene has always struck me as the most famous "missing scene" in movies.
BTW, congrats and thanks to Mr. Moderator on the latest anniversary. Doesn't seem like that long ago, and I also remember the old usernet advertisements before this page got started... that was right after I bought my first computer, which cost well over $4,000 in early 1994, think it was. It was a mail order Micron (PC), company which has long since gone the way of the dodo bird.

Yeah, remember that one too, but the one I most recall was the long forgotten night time soap *Brackens World* episode when Rachel Jensen was kidnapped and bound for the whole episode. Amazing thing about that one was that it repeated a few months later. I missed the first airing, but has asked my younger sister to write notes about the missed episode, and she had wrote about how the actress was tied up the whole hour. I ended up watching it later that summer, and recall very well how much I had anticipated the repeated airing. (For you youngsters out there, VCRs didn't exist at all back then).

Brian, I must once again extend to you congratulations on your unprecedented achievement. Your Website is a godsend for people with our predilections, as well as a forum where we can post our thoughts and exchange ideas.
The voluminous Scene Database is in itself a stupendous achievement, an invaluable resource for people such as ourselves who need information that will enable us to make an informed decision about which television shows or movies to watch. The augmentation of the Database is similar to that of the Oxford English Dictionary, where readers contributed words and their definitions; for the Database, perusers of this Website contribute by composing Entries for the Database, based on their experiences watching movies and television shows.
I peruse your Website every day, and it has definitely improved my life. I am proud to have become one of the regular posters, and to have composed numerous Database Entries. Once again, congratulations, Happy Anniversary, and thank you for your unprecedented achievement! I hope this Website lasts for many, many, many more years!

Congratulations on the anniversary, Brian, and thanks for maintaining the site all this time.

Thanks to all the contributors who contribute to and maintain the scene database, making it the most indispensable resource of its kind.

Thanks to all the posters, even the ones I might disagree with, for keeping the discussion lively and educational.

Thanks to the spammers - well, no, actually, you guys please get STD's and die horribly.

Thanks to the Engineer keeping the page accessible 99.9999987% of the time.

And thanks to Old Hitler, the Moderator. Some of us may have had run-ins with him, but most of us would have been a lot more ban-happy in his place.

Site Update
In a move that will surely set the whole Web afire, we have two updates to Bondagerotica this week. First, we have a listing of new sword and sandal/sword and sorcery adventures in the works for TV and movie production. Considering how productive "Legend of the Seeker" has already been, things are looking kinda good.

Second we have a review of "Feast of Souls" a high fantasy novel by C.S. Friedman that contains no bondage, or even any maledom/femsub action, but it really, really should have, and I explain why.

Here's another pic of the chained rock damsel from last week's "Legend of the Seeker" (Hartland). BTW, did anybody catch the scene(s) from this week's "Legend of the Seeker"? Man that was one long bondage/dungeon episode if ever there was one -- just the opposite of a blinkie.

Congrats & kudos for 12 wonderful years here....man I remember the old...what was it...dreambook (is that right...god so LONG ago!) days when you first started out? And I forget what it was before that...but I remember the old days of Grumpy, the various Anon's (short for "anonomous" I guess), many of whom no longer come around....and some who are still here and the many, many others who have come (and unfortunately, gone) in since then...and don't think I've let a day go by where I didn't check in at least once just to make sure I wasn't missing anything important!

Wonderful site my friend.....keep up the good work!
