I gotta agree with your predictions. Some sort of DiD action in Kröd Mandoon is almost inevitable. However, based on the ads and teaser-clips that have started cropping up on SciFi, the humor will be *VERY* broad. I'm hoping for something on the order of "Airplane" or "Police Squad", but I fear it will be more like "National Lampoon Presents: The Last Resort". {Yawn} Okay, I'm not gonna cry if it isn't the Algonquin Roundtable, but *please* let it be funny. I'm so sick of watching shitty TV shows to catch DiD-scenes that are *barely* DiD-scenes.

Days Of Our Lives question...
I have been searching for this scene for sometime now... does anyone if this scene ever took place?? I would love to see Kristian Alfonso gagged with a wide white tape.....

Record number: 12075

Title: Days Of Our Lives
Medium: Soap Opera
Actress: Kristian Alfonso

Description: Bo & Hope are invloved in an adventure in England with the villianous "Duke of Earl". Hope is being held in a dungeon in the Duke's castle. She is bound and hands behind and foot and gagged by a fairly wide strip of white tape. I believe she was shown is full treatment over the course of a couple of days and without the gag for a while longer. She is wearing tight blue jeans and a black leather jacket

This was Alfonso's first full treatment scene on the show, taking place a year or two before her "Patch" scenes.

It is a staple on local PBS stations in the midwest.

Up here it is part of the 'British Comedy' weekend block, but no idea how far behind the PBS episodes are from those in the UK.

There was a Mexican game show called Gente Con Chispa that featured a guessing game where contestants were handcuffed and ball-gagged. Not sure if its still running or not. See the video page for a link.

It's a pretty rare scene but there was a cute scene in the kid game show "Fun House". The 2 cheerleaders are shown tied up back to back with cleave gags. They struggle a little bit (no more than 3 glorious seconds) and then are slimed with pudding or something. I can't remember the setup of why they were bound and gagged but it's a quick but very nice and cute scene.

This is an April fool right? EastEnders is not a comedy. It's more Ken Loach than Richard Curtis.

Been looking into this, quick skim through the Radio Times cast list for next week doesn't even show a credit for Crace confirming my fears that her charector is about to bite the big one.
Reading between the lines and based on what i know of the plot lines that are going on at the moment i'd say it's 99.9% certain that it's going to be a putz. There's a very very remote chance it could be Charlie Brooks just because Janine has p****d every one off in the past few months and she's due her comeupance but I very much doubt it.

As for Crace, there's a very slim chance something could happen to her in tomorrow nights episode but to be honest from the trailers i've seen i think the window of opportunity has been and gone there.

High Noon - Emilie de Ravin possibility
This weekend the Lifetime Channel is showing a new TV movie adaptation of a Nora Roberts book called "High Noon." In the book, the main character (played in the movie by Emilie de Ravin) is menaced by a psycho who first, leaves a doll outside her house with a piece of duct tape over its mouth; then later, attacks the woman and binds and gags her with duct tape. Have no idea how faithful these TV movies are to the books, but it's worth a look. The movie will be replayed 5 times in the next week, but the first showing is Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Central time on Lifetime.

You know that, and I know that, but when the program schedule is My Hero, Good Neighbors, EastEnders, Keeping Up apperances, and Are You Being Served, somebody doesn't quite get the picture.

Maybe it is somekind of 5 pack where one is supposed to be shown M-F and the local PBS station just runs them as a 'comedy block'.

See, this sort of thing is precisely why "vegetable gag" is not searchable on my site.

(Fruit gag, yes, and we'll cross the tomato bridge if and when the Troma team are finally ready to do the needful.)

Unfortunately, that's lead to this sort of thing. Many
of the people who do that sort of work (and work it is)
don't like being asked on the site. So I'm going to be
a hard-ass again. Either post to Trades or contact

Well, the only other new sword and sorcery series to hit the tube of late, "Legend of the Seeker," has been knocking them out of the park, DiD-wise. Lots of scenes, lots of variety, etc. If "Krod Mandoon" follows suit there'll be a whole lotta DiD action going on. It's not a guarantee of course, but a more legitimate cause for hope than you generally get with new series.

The context of the showcase was that pirates were taking over the presentation of the showdown and Shane was the studio's security officer in charge of arresting the pirates. There was a putz producer tied in the first part of the showcase but in the second showcase (the Port'o'Price showcase), pirates have taken over and Shane is bound and gagged.

Friday the 13th scene was an electrical cord around her neck. Suggest you search database using "noose" as search criteria. Whole bunch of hits.

Record number: 984

Title: Spy Game
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Darlene Kordon, Allison Smith

Description: Episode: "With Friends Like These" (1.2)

First a missing Russian woman (Kordon) is located in an abandoned house, tied to a chair and gagged. While her partner Lorne battles thugs outside, Max (Smith) frees the woman. However, it's all been a trap, and the bad guy gives Max a surprise injection.

Lorne enters the house, and searches for Max, finally locating her in the wine cellar. She has her hands cuffed behind her back, a noose around her neck, and she's perched on a block of ice that's being melted down by a blowtorch. Oh yeah, she has a thick black cleave-gag keeping things nice and quiet.

All this is yet another trap, and the bad guy and Lorne begin a protracted fight scene. During the battle, the ice block is knocked away, but Lorne rolls a barrel over for Max to perch precariously upon. After a bit, the fight manages to knock over a bunch of wine racks, which come crashing domino fashion towards Max. She leaps and does the splits, holding the wine racks apart with her feet. Eventually, the fight is over, and Max is rescued.

This is a first rate scene: lengthy, beautiful actress, athletic struggling, several good closeups, just fine all around.
