Thank you. 1) Go to web page with picture you want to display 2) Highlight the entire url by clicking on it (the http: address at top of the browser window 3) Right-Click on your Mouse while the field is highlighted and select COPY 4) Come to this page- - post a message - type in the message you want and then in the Image 1 box BELOW the Message box... 5) put the cursor in the Image 1 box - right click the mouse - select PASTE 6) Click the Submit button |

He'll need the latter to use Brian's "Image" fields, so there's one additional step. David, try this: right-click on the image you want to post (or Control-click if you're on a Mac). You should get a pop-up menu with an item that reads something like "View Image." Selecting that item should take you to a new web page which contains *only* the image, and it's *that* link that you want to copy and paste into the "Image 1" field as Gagster describes. One way to check that you've got the right link is that it should end with a standard image extension like ".jpg", ".jpeg", ".gif", or ".png". If it ends with ".html", or (most likely) if there's no extension at all, you're probably looking at the URL for the page, not the image. |

(BTW, most browsers also include a "Copy Image Location" item in the menu that you get when you right-click. If you had Bruce_Lee_Pranke instead of Brucesfinder, you would have nailed it. http://htfvidcaps.dyndns.org/vidcaps/Bruce_Lee_Pranke/htf_dpdp_05.jpg Moderator, move this to trading forum if needed I use two different ways. 1. if your at the thumbnails on HTF page, right click and then move down to "copy shortcut" to copy link. Go back to brianspage and paste into image 1, and so for. 2.other way is to open the image, then right click and move down to "properties". Select everything in the "Address (url)" and then right click on that to get "copy" option. THen close everything and go back to brianspage to paste in the image1 when posting. At first try both copies, but open a black page first and paste the link there. Hit enter and if if doesn't open, it wont' work on brianspage. Keep testing htf's images that way before pasting on brianspage and you won't have a problem. Keep in mind though, some pages don't allow hotlink, but HTF server will. |
