Encouraged By Krod Mandoon
Although the premiere ep of Krod Mandoon didn't have any DiD scenes, it did have a scene that gave me hope for future DiD scenes. It's a sequence where the hero and the heroine are separated, and he's writing her a sappy letter about undying love and such, while she's participating in a fertility ritual that involves her doing a sexy pole dance/strip tease while lusty male villagers cheer and then having sex with 300 male villagers (who know, maybe a few gals, too). (The female lead is portrayed as being extremely sexually promiscuous. One great line: "You had sex with a man so he'd tell you what time it is. And you were standing under a clock!")

Well, when a DiD scenario comes along (and you KNOW it's gonna happen, this is a parody of sword and sorcery after all) this augurs well for some very nice comic possibilities.

I was also encouraged that the comedy was generally better than the promos led me to believe. Some of the better comedy needed set-up that couldn't be delivered in a brief promo spot -- I'm thinking of a sly bit in which a villager points out an anachronism spoken by a villain relating to timekeeping. I'll keep watching.

The previews for next week were very brief, but, from what I could see, Aneka (Miss "Dance of the 300 Raccoons") *might* have been tied AOH to a rack or table (altar, etc.). It was hard to tell.

The show is funny... especially if you're in the 7th Grade. I would have said 5th Grade, but the juvenile sex jokes greatly outnumber the fart and toilet jokes. Seriously, "Krod Mandoon" is like watching the very worst scenes from the "Scary Movie" or "Epic" type comedies.

Granted, Aneka is *very* hot. ;-) They'll get around to tying her up, probably on a regular basis, but I suspect it'll always be pretty marginal. Let's hope I'm wrong.

One Life to Live
"Starr Manning" (Kristen Alderson) is shown tape gagged while being held by the crook. Her hands are not tied. The scene starts at 31 minutes into the episode.

The entire scene had the thug holding her while she was gagged. Some good closeups, but the gag was a little sloppy. Actress played it well, nice expressions.

Well, I DO hope you are wrong. And I also THINK you are wrong. We shall see.

Except, you're not wrong about Aneka being hot. She was really swinging that thing in her striptease routine.

(The show is funnier than Van thinks, too. :bpbpbpbpbpb)

On the other hand, anyone interested might want to follow the link below to multiple critical reviews of Krod Mundoon from the national media. ...emphasis on "critical". Don't wear your good shoes.

This show might not be around long enough for them to tie up Aneka.
