| When I was in the bookstore I took a random novel from the shelf & this was the first paragraph: "It was as black in the closet as old blood. They had shoved me in and locked the door. I breathed heavily through my nose, fighting desperately to remain calm. I tried counting to ten on every intake of breath, and to eight as I released each one slowly into the darkness. Luckily for me, they had pulled the gag so tightly into my open mouth that my nostrils were left unobstructed, and I was able to draw in one slow lungful after another of the stale, musty air." The scene is a girl who's been tied up by her sisters & shoved into a closet. There's a bit more about her bonds but none of the thoughtful Amazon readers saw fit to transcribe any of it word for word the way they did the above paragraph. The book is called "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie." I think probably that's the extent of the bondage. |

| I enjoyed watching this black comedy last night.Although,I was very disappointed,that the lovely actress,Janeane Gurofalo,only got a handcuff scene,and only on one wrist too! Rene Russo gets tied up,as well as another young actress,but to me,its disappointing.I just wished Janeane was bound and gagged,in her police uniform! |

And a very good one if you ask me. I can see doug's point on this scene not being as "incredible" as some of us think it is. However, it's a pleasant little surprise for a tape-gag fan like me. The last time Sarah got the treatment, she was bound hand-and-foot with duct tape (I loved the shot where the villain taped her ankles together), but cleave-gagged. Although the scene was sweet and had a number of great close-ups, scenes with tape bondage and cloth-gags is a big pet peeve for me. Like many of us, I believe this happens because the actresses don't want the duct tape to rip off their skin when the gag is removed. So, this is why I enjoyed Sarah's latest entry in her bondage resume. It's not well-lit, the bonds are disappointing (and I'm not surprised, since "hands-in-front" has become annoyingly popular in today's scenes - see "Big Game"), but I'm glad Sarah's mouth finally got taped. |

I don't mind them as much, but I'd prefer using the tape all the way. The OLTL scene this week will be the same, with the damsels tied with tape and cloth gagged. |

Those last two sentences can be applied to pretty much every Seagal movie since his first two or three - and it's not like even those were really special. His aikido movies were fresh for a little while but then he stopped even trying to stay in shape, and we got what we got. They should really put some DID scenes into his movies to try to give them at least a little heat and to set them apart from all the other grade Z action fare. |
