Leverage
I have noticed that no one has composed any Database Entries for the two episodes of "Leverage" that have been mentioned on this forum in recent weeks. I believe that this program featured bound and gagged actresses on consecutive episodes.

Re: DB Entry? -> Anubis Forum
Positively the most humourous entry review Editors have had yet.

Tell you what,
Anubis has an Anything Goes forum up and running with a Brians section. I'll post the works of this FOX channel (scene?) up there, so anyone interested can have fun without breaking the politics rule here on Discussion

Note: [NO GAG] in this. Gag fans can skip

I'll get around to reviewing with Brian whether legit entry, or not? When I'm done laughing..okay?

Dollhouse
Dollhouse looks like a series with ENORMOUS DiD potential ... except that it's a Joss Wheedon series, and he's a serious SNAG. Thinks the women in comic books are too naked, wants to empower women, etc. All his female characters tend to hide their butts and kick male butts. And don't even get me started on the bondage. Buffy was WAAAAAAY deficient in the bondage compared to what it COULD have been with all those crazed demons of both sexes running around wanting to chain people up and needing to be chained up. And the manacles in the few bondage scenes in the show were almost invariably total loosies.

However, I was surprised by all the T&A in the first ep of Dollhouse, from a guy who thinks "Comic book women are too nekkid." He might have changed on the whole bondage thing, too. We shall see.

Not that the show is likely to last more than a season. Or that Fear is Real will. Or that Flashpoint will.

Re: Dollhouse
First of all, there is nothing wrong with believing women should be empowered, and there are some disgusting shows of misogony in comics.

And Buffy was full of bondage! Even the spinoff had a couple of nice scenes.

Yeah, Angel was a goldmine for scenes...Buffy was a little more frustrating though. I mean we got the occasional piece but there were virtual no gags beyond the hand...although for the die hard fans who stuck it out (and it was an excellent show generally anyway)we were awarded with a great scene with Azura Skye and a double whammy of tape gags for Willow (who evaded them for years!) and Dawn (who just needed to be shut up all the friggin time anyway) in the 6th season...Dollshouse does feature Eliza Dusku who got the full treatment in Wrong Turn, so at least we know shes no prude...Whedons other show Firefly was a dissappointment considering it had the ultra cute Summer Glau whose character was literally nothing more than a Damsel In Distress but got featured virtualy nothing, which is a damn shame as Glau seems unlikely to be gtting any full treatment scenes as a erminaor these days..and Firefly also fell short of a great potential scene with Jewel Staite in its final episode....so generally, with Whedon, we need to keep an eye but dont get the hopes up too much

Re: Dollhouse
Yup, Angel was nice.

The scene where Amy gets tape gagged in the closet was one of my all time favorite scenes. They guys didn't bother me, but I would've preferred it if Charisma had gotten taped up in there too!

Physc
A preview on Physc shows what appears to be a woman bound and gagged in a chair. Scene was very quick and hard to tell. Also the mother of one of the charecters gets kidnapped. I believe played by Cybil Shepperd. NO scenes of her were shown. We shall see if her biography is correct or not

Re: Dollhouse
I watched about the first ten minutes..HATED it and will never watch again. I might tape for potential DID scenes but I'm sure it will be a big tease and bigger disappointment.
I don't like Whedon and I hope she show dies a quick death and makes way for something better.
just MHO but I think buffy mostly sucked Bondage wise...
Just a few marginal scenes and SMG NEVER got gagged

Amen to that, other than the obvious eye candy of Eliza Dushku (and Amy Acker) that pilot was devoid of charm, humor or anything remotely interesting. I'll keep an eye out for hopeful bondage scenes...but that was one horrible first episode. Gives one no desire to tune in again.

IMO Whedon is shaping up to go down as a one-hit wonder, sort of like the guys who did the first "Matrix" movie but have sucked ever since. He'll keep getting lots of chances though, because all you need is one big hit and you're set for years. (See Seagal, Steven and many others too numerous and depressing to name.) Not that whatever replaces it is likely to be much better, but that's another depressing topic.

Of course not, but there's this meme that certain feminists and SNAGs tend to have to the effect that DiD scenes are a bad thing. I dislike that meme. I don't see why I shouldn't.

Taken as a whole, there are disgusting shows of just about everything in comics, including misogyny but mostly it's dumbness.

> And Buffy was full of bondage!

Not in relation to WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN, as I was careful to point out. And not in the absolute sense either. There were only a couple of gag scenes in the entire six seasons, and a whole lot of the scenes that were just bondage were Loosies with manacles twice the size of the actors' wrists (see: "Reptile Boy").

And Angel was MUCH better than Buffy wrt bondage scenes, if only for "Cordy Goes to Gor (er, Pyleia) and "Parting Gifts." I would really like to believe that Dollhouse will represent an extension of the trend indicated by Angel, but there's Firefly with all it's non-bondage to consider.

Still, a show about hot female sex slaves, which is what the crew in the Dollhouse is, has huge potential. I'm surprised that not everyone sees that. Big criminal conspriracy, women being used as sex toys without even knowing it ... sounds like an Internet bondage fantasy to me!

Which is why I'm very sad that it's Wheedon at the helm. He is not likely to steer things in a direction we will like.

To clarify the previous poster's message (appreciate the enthusiasm, enough to look past the misspelling)... Psych is a DEFINITE must-record next Friday.

There is a scene with a young woman, who from the preview appears to be stuff-gagged plus either an OTM or cleave. Bad news is that she appears to be deceased from the context of the preview, in which the cops discover her. Maybe there's another scene with her alive before the discovery--we'll have to wait to find out.

While I know that context is a turn-off for many, there is a major upside: Shawn is heard saying this bad guy has "got my mother." Yes indeedy, she's played by Cybill Shepherd, who still looks absolutely great for her age (she turns 59 on Wednesday).

No guarantee of a scene, sure, but those of us who fondly recall Cybill's great "wedding" scene on Moonlighting, not to mention a couple of too-short scenes from that show, will want to be tuned in.

The show is Friday, 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.

Re: Psych
Plus, it's just a damned good show. If only Maggie Lawson found her way into a predicament...

Discussions only talked about the one gagged scene, "The Bank Job". If there was another, it was not discussed or alerted to.

There's a spoiler picture that shows a tape-gagged Cybill Shepherd in a car.

El Rostro de Analia
There's a promo airing on Telemundo highlighting what's happening next week on the soap, El Rostro de Analia, and in the promo, they show a brunette woman accosted by two men, getting a sack placed over her head, and forced into the trunk of a car as one of the men binds her hands behind her back. In the current storyline, the lead character is in prison, so I'm pretty sure the woman getting kidnapped is second female lead, Karla Monroig. El Rostro de Analia airs weekdays at 8:00 p.m. Central time on Telemundo.
