Van wrote: > > ...secret pigeons? ...secret pigeons? > Pat... dude... I did a find-on-this-page on your article > and there is NO MENTION of pigeons, secret or otherwise. > I demand a refund! Sorry, Van -- no refund. There IS a secret pigeon in the movie, I just didn't cover it. YOu gotta leave some surprises for viewers. I cover the bondage thoroughly but do not feel obligated to reveal all ... I didn't even MENTION the secret tunnel the size of Grand Central Station that Hercules uses to sneak up on the Stupid Engineering Project. (And no matter what the plot twist, it's still a stupid thing to build.) OK, I'll tell you about the Secret Pigeon since you tortured it out of me. The Hellenic slavegirls have a secret homing pigeon that they give to a male slave with orders to find Hercules and tell him where they are, and then release it to fly back to them, so they'll know he's on the way. He dies before he can tell Hercules what's up but Hercules figures it out anyway by releasing the pigeon and noting which way it goes. The real question is, how did a bunch of chained slavegirls manage to keep a pigeon -- and its birdcage -- secret from their captors? My suspicion is those baggy dresses they wear. |

Monday February 09 04:39:51 2009 Struggling or being menaced. |
Which do you prefer, a damsel all alone in a scene struggling to get loose. Or a damsel at the hands of an evil villain who either tortures her or threatens her with harm. For instance on the episode Bad Boy of I Married Joan, Joan is tied up while babysitting. But once she's bound and gagged the brats run off to have fun leaving Joan in her struggling with all her might to get free. While the Amateur Hour episode features bound and gagged babysitter Lucy being menaced by her charges who dance around like injuns and threaten to burn her at the stake. For myself I'd go for the damsel being menaced than just the lone damsel struggling to get loose. |

old man wrote: > IF the movie is the one > I saw years ago - and I concede I'm not positive, other > than I KNOW Raymond Burr was the kidnapper in it Record number: 1529 Title: The Whip Hand (1951) Medium: Movie Actress: Carla Balenda Description: Those evil ex-Nazis-turned-Communists are at it again! They're conducting germ warfare experiments at an old lodge in a remote Minnesota pine forest. A newspaper reporter (Elliott Reid) and his new-found girlfriend (Balenda) -- whose doctor brother is one of the conspirators -- investigate, but are captured. At about an hour and 20 minutes Balenda is shown lying strapped hand and foot to an inclined gurney, detective gagged with a wide white cloth bandage, as she's prepared for a fatal injection. Not to worry: her brother has something up his doctor bag -- a pistol which he uses to plug a hovering co-conspirator before being gunned down himself as the reporter and the feds come to the rescue. |

ITA. The distress situation implies that there's a "persecutor". The damsel struggling all alone can be funny to see, sometimes exceptional (like Laura Belli in the tv movie "il vicino di casa") but usually i'm interested in the dialogue between the victim and the captor. I like best comedy tone though. |

Monday February 09 20:11:14 2009 CSI Miami Alert |
HEADS UP! Tonight's CSI Miami (ep: "Presumed Guilty"), down there in the US will have two bound & cleave gagged scenes. Same girl, once in a car trunk and later underground sewer on a golfcourse. I checked your CBS guides and it's the same ep listed here. PDiddy aka PuffyDaddy as a guest star lawyer. |

This post was deleted. Poster: Van Reason: Ummm, what? I struggled to find topical material in that post. Let's try to focus on the normal subjects and stop concerning ourselves with pigeons and the like. |

I love scenes where the damsel has her hands tied behind her back and she is marched away to a hideout. However, I basically love anyway the damsel is taken away...OTS, on a spit (like Charisma Carpenter's 2nd full treatment scene on Angel) or dragged away kicking and screaming through a gag. |

Hayden hayden had her hands behind her, but not sure by what. Shortly later, she has her hands cuffed behind her as she is recaptured. All between :20 and :40 marks. Ali is captured in the last 10 minutes. She is shown in her "heat the cold broad" ordeal om the closing minutes. |

I read the alert, turned on the TV & started the recording exactly ONE minute & 10 seconds before the first scene in the car trunk! The victim's name is "Tammy". I missed the first half the show & her name wasn't listed in the end credits. Any idea as to the actress's ID? |
