Tuesday February 24 07:22:38 2009 Kill Switch |
I watched this latest Steven Seagal offering. There's only a couple of shots, about a female victim, with her hands taped overhead,on a bed. That was very disappointing. Thanks for the info on Babysitter Wanted, people! |

"24!!!" (yelled at screen, shaking my fist, Stephen Colbert style). As this show jumps the shark (hell, the entire ocean--what is up with this show, did they think they were going to be cancelled about seven episodes into this season?), it just lurches from one missed opportunity to another. So Motobo's girlfriend goes on a dangerous mission for the government? No need for her to get tied up! So Chloe is racing against a mole at the FBI? Ditto! And last night the president's very hot adult daughter wanted to leave the White House despite the very dangerous situation in Washington, but she didn't (even though her mother pled with her not to go, classic set up for a scene dialogue). Next week, when the White House is attacked by terrorists (so what else is new?), probably something will fall and hit her on the head, and everyone will be all worried, but she won't get tied up (and let's not forget the FBI agent working with Jack, now engaged in the very suspenseful activity of standing around at the hospital). |

Of course, she wasn't, and then causes the accident that leads to the terror head's capture. Bad move on his part. The hot blonde dealing with the mole was whacked last night, so she's gone, and with the action shifting to the White House, Chloe and Garafolo look like they won't see any action either. |

Tuesday February 24 15:03:47 2009 Censoring |
I know some had a laugh a month or so back when someone posted a message asking for help because his library was censoring this site as "porn." Well, I can now confirm firsthand that if a public library puts you on restricted access, you can lose the ability to get to this page. A couple of weeks ago a local librarian passed behind me while I was viewing something on Raffish's page and decided it was pornographic. The next time I went in, I got a message that I had restricted access. I couldn't get to this page or Raffish's or several other sites that generally at least have no nudity. This went on for a week while maybe they checked to see if I was a sex offender or whatever. Finally I regained the ability to generally go to any page. But if that particular librarian is on computer duty and sees me come in, I still end up with filtered (censored) ability only. And then libraries complain about the "bookburners..." |

I've found that the library in my bible-belt town has also blocked this site. They've also banned these two other sites I frequent...I get the "poor taste" message on my screen as well. Not that I care..I just use the lib computers to print out stuff ;) |

Interesting, outside of "Atame" I can't remember any other protests over a film featuring the 'classic' damsel in distress. |

Interesting; I don't believe this or Raffish's site is voluntarily tagged as porn and even then I believe your local library is in violation of the law if they receive public taxpayer funds (unless it's Alaska, lol): This is the equivalent of banning books *they* believe is 'in poor taste'. ...and I agree you shouldn't be visiting these type of sites at a library anyway. That's all I'm saying on the matter. |

Tuesday February 24 22:52:19 2009 Kat Dennings in Big Momma's House 2 |
Wow, I didn't know this, and i'm probably 3 years too late, but there's actually a scene featuring Kat Dennings (Norah from Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist) in this crap-fest of a movie. I caught it playing on FX (the network that has the bondage right?) and in the final 30 mins, she's tied up in a van with (putz alert) Martin Lawrence in drag. Kinda awesome. :) |

My alert for Legion of the Dead appears to be off by an hour. It started at 11, so the scene is 20 minutes off for those on the East Coast. |
