Fear I Real Scene
Well, 13 - Fear is Real did have a scene. A cute female contestant and a male contestant are each cuffed at the wrist to a pipe. First one to get free wins, or "lives" as they call it in the game. The female contestant came up with an ingenious solution -- she offered to free the guy with her hacksaw by cutting his hand off. He went for it, thinking he had an easy win, but then died for real from shock and blood loss, causing her to win by default.

OK, I made that stuff up about the way the gal won. In my defense, I liked it better than the show's outcome, whatever it was.

Against the Dark
Usually, there's always a very pretty damsel to be saved in Steven Seagal's offerings.Although,it's pot luck,if I see the actress bound and gagged.I watched a trailer for his latest film,Against the Dark, and there are some pretty actresses featured. So,hopefully, there may be a scene, where the girls are used as a lure, for our hero to save them.Fingers crossed.

Journey to the Center of the Earth
The description of tonight's 9 pm (EST) SciFi Channel movie (Journey to the Center of the Earth) says that it's a cheesy update to the original that features a group of sexy female researchers who have to be rescued. From what they don't say, but the keywords "cheesy" "adventure" "sexy female" and "rescue" all have a DiD-ish feel to them.

I watched about 45 minutes of the movie and then turned it off as it was the worst Film i have ever seen, and for Seagal whose movies perennially suck it's quite an achievement .
There really didn't seem much scope for a scene to be honest ,so i don't know for sure if something transpired in the end of it .The enemy he is fighting are mindless flesh eating zombies who just attack on sight so i doubt anyone got the treatment ,and as i said ,the movie is really bad .

Hi Jay,
Thanks for the continued interest in this.
I don't recall seeing Portrait In Terror, or if I did, it didn't make any lasting tmpressions. Do think it's not the one I remember so well... first, am 90% sure that the bad guy WAS Raymond Burr - even at an early age, I was familiar with him (from the Perry Mason TV show). The damsel I remember was definitely dark haired, not blonde, and am pretty sure that this dynamite scene had no gag in it...am not a *gag snob*, although I surely like them.
Sure would like to see a clip of Portait In Terror, though.
Thanks again.

Missed opportunity on Monk
Missed opportunity on Monk last night.Julie Bowen was replaced by her evil twin in order to frame her husband for murder. The evil twin knocked out Ms. Bowen with mace ????
then supposedly tied her up in the basement(no visible bonds)
To complete the switch she attempts to drown Ms. Bowen in the tub. Ms. Bowen's hands are taped in front for this scene.
She is rescued in the nick of time by Monk and the gang.
No gags !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorites are :

"That Son-of-a-Bitch!"

"We were just getting started"

"Honey? Is this part of the thing?"

"Where's my Husband?"

Now, can anybody name the clips these quotes are from?

Looking at majorjohns clip, this looks like one seriously funny movie. Even in Russian

Now that's entertainment...good call.

Sadly, the only one I can immediately place is the last one, from "Columbo: No Time to Die."

If the episode in question is "Mr. Monk and the Bully", it repeats tonight on the USA Network at 6/5C as well as twice next week. I'll post a late alert too. I'm a big fan of Julie Bowen and even if there's no gag, I'll check it out.

Talking About A Missed Opportunity!
The real missed opportunity was in "The Fabulous Voyage of Captain Drake." The bad guy had Captain Drake's younger (but adult, and very attractive) sister in captivity for most of the movie, and the only bondage I saw was a brief, badly shot and lit scene where her hands are tied in front of her in preparation for hanging her (she does not get hanged). Worse yet, I tried to watch the movie as a movie (and not just stuff surrounding a bondage scene or two) because the plot summary sounded like fun, but the movie REALLY dragged like hell. "There's two hours of my life...etc."

SciFi never ceases to amaze. The channel that brings us "Battlestar Galactica" also brings us an endless stream of the absolute *worst* made-for-TV "movies" in the history of the moving image. And don't get me started about ECW, the SciFi wrestling show. Wrestling? On SciFi? My theory is the suits at Rockefeller Center (SciFi is part of the NBC "family") get a cheap thrill out of messing with the SciFi Channel. "Let's make them air a wrestling show!" "Yeah, and we'll keep them on a starvation diet for their original programming, and make them use studios in the Balkans!" What I *really* resent is we have to watch this dreck *anyway*, 'cause you never know when they'll sneak in a good DiD-scene. Remember "Chupachabra: Dark Seas"? (dBase Record number: 11151) That was a SciFi original "movie".
