| Unfortunately promos show an ungagged Sarah Brown behind Sonny as he talks on the phone with Jason about how to defuse bomb. This does not bode well for a lengthy scene out of this great situation. |

This guy really needs to step it up if he plans to make it as an evil captor in this economy, though I suppose that was the point. Not a bad scene at all, plus that authentic Whedony dialogue was back tonight. I'd been missing it. This one's gonna need some editing, but the TSCC clip's on my front page in the meantime. |

Since Dollhouse is new i doubt it will but the episode will probably repeat in a couple months. What about the other two anyone? thanks. As a rabid Whedonite, I hate to say it and hope I'm wrong, but I'm giving this one 13 episodes and out -- and even that much only because Fox pretty much promised. (Though I could easily see SciFi picking it up for a revival at some point, as they did with Firefly etc.) |

| Funny thing... There was concern about scene potential the past few weeks because of Joss Whedon yet we get 2 in a single episode. Not a comment on any doubters. More about JW knowing that this kind of thing sells from time to time. |

See below, though this is one of those scenes where I'd recommend the clip instead if you're able, because it just doesn't cap very well. (Clips for both of these scenes are now up on my front page.) BTW: did the BSG scene remind anyone else of the direct-to-video flick "Twisted Sisters," what with the heroine bound, gagged, and watching from the closet as her doppelganger gets it on with her man? | The damsel who is bound and gagged on "Dollhouse" is a stunningly beautiful black actress who plays a spoiled, petulant, and snooty pop singer. Her character, who was very easy to detest, definitely deserved to be bound and gagged. |

The bound and gagged Sharon (the name of the Grace Park Cylon model) is "Athena", and she was clobbered and placed in the condition we see her in by the Sharon "Boomer". (Yes, it's the "Evil Twin" thing!) Adding insult to incarceration, she's watching Boomer make enthusiastic whoopie with Helo (who thinks he's doing it with Athena). *I* think her restraints are cable-ties, but we'll have to do a frame-by-frame. IMHO, the context adds a lot to the scene, and although we don't see much of anything, that cleave-gag does *NOT* look like a Loosie when the video is in motion. |

| Grace's scene was intense. Sure, we only got a few brief, somewhat obscured shots of her and yes, she had been beaten to hell, but the circumstances and context of the scene really made it stand out. The whole "bound and gagged in a stall while her double makes love to her husband" angle was quite nice. It made me wonder if this scenario had been played out in other scenes and I thought of one similar (but different, too): Twisted Sisters. Anyone else think of any others? Too bad I gave up on last night's T:TSSC and Dollhouse in favor of a couple of hours of Warcraft. Praise [deity of choice] for Hulu. |

I agree with the previous poster who asked why didn't he just use the same tape that he used to bind her wrists to the chair arms. An OTM doesn't prevent a damsel from talking beneath it (unless there is packing too), so using that logic there could be a tape gag there. Buuuut I doubt it. |

| Thanks for all the data on BSG guys. It sounds like the context does make the scene, which would otherwise be kinda meh for me, esp. with the bloody nose. And I don't believe that anyone has mentioned that the gagged black hottie spends some time suspended by her wrists later in the scene. Altogether, a topnotch scene. |

Bound and gagged scenes don't improve the television ratings. Sarah Connor had a very small amount of viewers and Dollhouse had it's lowest rating of the season. Movies that feature great bondage scenes tank most of the time at the box office. Funny Games had Naomi Watts tied and gagged in her underwear. Nobody came out to see it. Push had a bound and gagged scene and it tanked. I could go on and on. |
