I do save a good number of images posted here that are linked from photobucket accounts, that may be a good place to try. Don't personally have a photobucket account so can't speak from personal experience as to their fussiness level.

It should be evident that the cover was designed to entice hormonally crazed adolescent males to buy this comic. Not only is Lois Lane bound and gagged, but she is wearing a very sexy outfit that resembles a leotard. Did women actually ever wear such apparel, even during the late 1960s? Furthermore, would a woman ever wear such an outfit in public?
Also consider the fact that Lois Lane is bound to the front grill of the truck, where her entire physique is visible. Why couldn't she have been bound and gagged in the cabin of the truck?
Why did DC Comics rely on sexually enticing covers that featured beautiful women bound and gagged to attract buyers for their comic books? Were sales slow, and was this a strategy contrived by the management to enhance sales? Did any male readers ever write letters to DC Comics lamenting the lack of bondage scenes in the actual stories?

Another missed chance
David, don't be unhappy that the lead actress had no full-treatment-scene in "Bangkok Dangerous": Her name is "Pei" Parnward Hemmanee and she received two full-treatment-scenes this year in the Thai lakorns "Song Kram Nang Fah" (black tape-gag, long scene) and "Sieng Luang Sieng Ruk" (white cleave/otm, short scene). :-)

p.s.: I could have predicted that there would be no full-treatment-scene in this movie, as I may have watched some twenty lakorns with lead actor Chakrit Yamnarm so far and NONE of them featured a full-treatment-scene for a lady. :-(

Bondage covers have been a staple of comics almost since the beginning. The classic damsel in distress motif is a fast, cheap, and easy way to show a dramatic situation and entice buyers. Simple as that. Same reason all those detective magazines had them.

As for readers writing in to ask for more of it, probably not. And if they did, those letters probably hit the burn bag as soon as received, just in case another Wortham-like anticomics jihad occurred (don't want anything that suggests the kiddies are buying the comics because of anything prurient, do we?)

As an aside, the Overstreet Price Guide used to note every book that had a bondage cover. As a kid I used to use it as a guide for potential material for my collection for than as a guide to what my collection was worth. Apparently, a DiD cover could make an otherwise bland golden or silver-age book more collectible. Dunno if it still does that. Anyone know?

24 possibles
A solid mix of hotties are on 24 this season, so let's hope they get some action. Jack's female partner will be a target, as will the hot stock trader who's fiance was killed. Plus, tech wizards Chloe and the Jeanine Garolfalo character will obviously be in trouble at some point.

The hot stock trader is played by Carly Pope, who had a scene on the TV series 'Popular' a while back.

Thank you! I knew I had seen her before in something. I was tortured trying to remember what show she was on before and I didn't catch the credits to see who the actress was. Lets do hope there's a scene for her.

I'm personally gunning for a Garofalo scene myself...I mean shes not as cute as she was in the 90's, and isnt ageing well in that respect, but DAMN I'm hoping tapes her smart mouth shut this season ;)

Yes, me too. I think she's one of those actresses who would look even better with a B&G scene.

I'm personally hoping Bauer's female partner gets a scene this season... she's quite cute.

Historically, the show has delivered scenes every season, so let's hope they don't break with this trend.

On another note, DiD-wise or not, this season looks like it's going to be pretty good... I've been sorely missing my 24-fix for the last year now.

That was one of my favorites back then also. Looks like she'd have to devote her full attention to just breathing with that gag. The old Lois Lane covers that were posted were great too. The one where she's spread-eagled on the big bullseye and the men are all aiming darts at her... do we have to draw you a picture, guys? Oh that's right - we just did! I think the price guide still denotes a lot of comics with bondage covers, often with higher prices than non-bondage cover issues that come before or after. But it's not all-inclusive. That would be quite a job.

Heh-I did the same thing & had a different price guide from Overstreets in like '82 that also stated that "Bondage covers" were a factor in increasing a comics worth & if I recall & pointed a few out. (& missed quite a few too) I have no idea if current comics price guides still talk about that.

At around the 3:50 mark, 3 ladies (conveniently a brunette, a blonde, & a redhead) are seen tied to office chairs (arms to the arms of the chairs & feet tied) and OTM gagged. Scenes lasts a few minutes with lotsa close-ups. Next scene at the 14:45 mark. During this scene they are all ungagged but still tied to the chairs. At around the 30:45 mark and again at the 39:00 minute mark, the scene continues with the baddie taunting the victims. The last scene is around the 45:00 minute mark & ends with them being rescued.

Interesting continuity guffaw: when being ungagged in the 2nd segment, the girls have their gags pulled up over their heads (across their faces) and off their heads except for the redhead, who's gag is simply pulled down around her neck. In the next segment with them (and in all segments till the rescue), the brunette (who originally had HER gag pulled up & off) is seen with HER gag now magically around her neck hanging like the redhead's gag (the blonde still has no gag, as hers was pulled up over her head & off).

No ideas on any IDs for the ladies....any help appreciated here.

IDs already in the database. If you want, I can add any additional info to the database like times or such.

Slight Spoiler Alert!

Tonight's episode had a BAYMI (blink and you'll miss it) scene for the female FBI agent played by cute red-head Annie Wersching. For you knock out fans, Jack puts her in the old sleeper hold, and she is left hands bound behind with what looks like a cord from a computer. The next time we see her, she has been released. Bummer.

Good news, is next weeks preview shows her captured by the baddies, and undercover Jack tells her "shut up or I will shut you up". Jack is a man of his word:)

MUCHACHITAS
I don't know whether JP missed a scene or whether I misread his description, but after the first set of scenes there's another that begins with them gagged and then the baddy ungags them each separately. Could have been longer but all in all a very fine scene ("great" has been beaten to death on this site).
By the way kudos to Dexter for the alert to this outstanding scene.

Ah....I never thought to look in the Database to see if they already had an entry for the show....I think I was thinking it was a new show (but then, how could someone have posted an alert if the show hadn't aired before?? Duh!!!)

Anyway, yes times & such are always useful if you don't mind adding 'em! Thanks!
