| This is a new programme on UK TV and from the plot seems to be a "Buffy" clone. Interestingly one of the female characters complained in a recent iterview "In my first few weeks on set I seemed to be always tied up and gagged". | I know this will be difficult to verify or even to get photo evidence. Is there a list or does someone have access to a list were a well known actress (past, present, future) recieved, or more importantly didn't recieve a full treatment scene on film or TV. But Was Bound and Gagged on stage. (broadway or any other type of stage production) |

We could of course assume she talks about being bound and gagged ,when she was just bound ,but she does follow this quote in the interview with "but that may have just been to keep me quiet".And the way she speaks that it seemed in the first few weeks on set that she was "always tied and gagged" would suggest that the series has more than one scene. Anyway ,definitely one to watch for 09. |

| Jonathan creek on bbc1 has just delivered another scene.Damsel showed tied hands over head ,with a white cleave gag 70 minutes in to this two hour special.Still ongoing and the story is about disappearing women ,so there may be more ,watch this space. |

Not bad - 3 short scenes across the 2 hours. Damsel was a magician's assistant. We see her rehearsing a magic trick where she is tied spreadeagled to a wheel then acting it out on stage. shortly after that her charecter is abducted from backstage, we eventually see her strung up by her wrists, maybe a foot off the floor and cleave gagged - but be warned her throat is cut by her abductor. Didn't catch the actresses name but i'll check the Radio times tomorrow if no-one else has got it. |

It is near-obvious that it was shot as a pilot for a series rather than a stand-alone movie, as it was very open-ended without a completed conclusion and a clear set-up for the future. Also, it was very light fare, unburdened by any dramatic gravitas whatsoever, and follows in the spirit of shows with 'intense' or 'serious' subjects such as the blacklisted spy (Burn Notice) or even reluctant spies (Chuck). After all, they don't treat the subject of people killing others for money any more seriously than if it was the hijinx at a bakery! They don't even get into the morality of whether a mark to be hit deserves to get killed, unlike the considerably more serious and intense Dexter, whose 'code' determines who he kills by a moral barometer. Ipso facto, I don't think it would be a very good program overall, but seeing Shiri Appleby get in comical trouble every week - and most probably a few ropes - would be well worth it. |

| To follow up, I don't think it will become a series, unless the movie was unrealistically a big hit, because their was no hint of a promo regarding it during the movie or end credits. Question: what station, network, channel, and/or country was this supposed Jonathan Creek special on? |

I can't find any movie in the IMDB with this title, and under Joanna Krupa's IMDB credits it does not list this movie. Has it possibly had a title change in the interum? |

The actress in question is "Holliday Grainger", playing the chracter "Ruby". Her hair looks kinda blond in that particular behind-the-scenes pic, but the costume matches one of her other pics, so I think it's just the lighting. I get BBC America now (COMCAST did the right thing and gave all us basic cable cheapskates a free upgrade to Digital On Demand) but "Demons" probably won't air in the US for... some time. Brian'skteers in the UK please keep us informed (and supplied with screencaps, videoclips, etc. ...and keep an eye on the bird playing "Mina Harker." ;-) |

| Found a trailer for the show online and there is a shot of a girl gagged with black tape. It is a dark shot and tough to tell who it is. |
