The Missing actress discusses being tied up
Here's a snippet from actress Scarlett McAlister's site, featuring her experience filming The Missing (2003)

-----

While we were bound and gagged most of the time, we were 'self tied'. Basically it just looked like we were tied up but we really weren't. We all just had the ropes twisted around our hands and feet so that it looked good.

The gags around our heads had to be tied on by the prop master but were loose enough for us to pull out of our mouths to be comfortable in between shots. Truth be known, I think we were all willing to suffer anything to be a part of this film! It was wonderful no matter what.

Wow, I never knew that they were one and the same person! Shades of Candace Michelle/Mackenzie Montgomery and Sarah Kozer/Cindy Schubert!

thanks for the info!

JP, are you sure? I looked up Regina's entry in the IMDB and Skinner doesn't show up on her's either. Is Joanna/Regina even IN this movie?

Actress Interview
I just read an interview from an actress named Holliday Grainger who is in a new show (I think in England) called "Demons." In the interview she says "The first few weeks on the set I seemed to always be tied up and gagged."

Someone said "No" about a week ago. And they thought the movie blew.

She was VERY briefly gagged in an episode of "One Tree Hill".

From what I saw online, it was shot in 2007 and apparently will start airing as a series with 12 episodes scheduled for 2009. Considering "Knight Rider" didn't get the axe I shouldn't be surprised (another program from the same company owning the network).

They actually did discuss morality, briefly. There was a suggestion by one of the hitmen as to whether or not their target had it coming. Personally, I'm shocked this made it as a 'comedy' or 'dramady' series: Bottom line is the protagonists in "To Love & Die" are murderers by trade no matter who the target is unlike "Burn Notice" and "Chuck" where 'spies' are still considered the 'good guys' in society today. No matter who they kill the targets have it coming to them (by our perception) since they're perceived as threats.

I agree though: It's awful as a show with completely unsympathetic characters and part of me wishes it a swift death. Then again with Shiri Appleby's hot outfits, the generous closeups of her legs in short skirts (though her stunt double had better), and the fact her character has a taste for deviance, I do plan to keep an eye on it in the hopes they wrap her overbite over a cleave or ball gag in an upcoming show.

On a side note I was curious about the writer's past and present work; judging from some of the dialogue on this show it seems she would have a bit of a fetish for damsels in distress falling for their captors storylines. All I could find for now was a credit for "Reunion".

BBC1 in the UK, episode title The Grinning Man

Hopefully writer David Renwick will do more - and with the lovely Sheridan Smith as Creek's new sidekick, who knows? She might even get the treatment herself
