Re: Endure
The producers [check out the Endure website - simply Google "Endure the movie"] even had a gagging women audition which they describe as somewhat unsettling... pretty wild stuff I must say.

Likewise, thanks for posting the clip. I'm sure many will be grateful, especially the ones with VCR and/or kid issues. ;-)

Incidentally, isn't clipping episodes like this a bitch? So many lengthy scenes to piece together. So many in fact that while doing my clip, I actually left out some of the repetitive stuff, just because I couldn't take it any more. I'm sure your clip is more comprehensive than mine. You seem to have much tenacity when it comes to including all of the shots.

Women tied to Bed
Here is where we need the veterans like Pat and Raffish to contribute ! Am compiling a list where women were tied to bed or chairs or just tied - as foreplay or during love making. Used to appear with regularity in Erotic Thrillers of 90s like Watch me, Over the Line, Secret Games, Nigtfire etc . How about scenes from movies within the last 5 -6 years?

Recount on HBO Sunday

I posted an alert for the HBO premiere of Recount on Sunday night. Previews for this new HBO docudrama about the Florida election recount of 2000 showed a scene where several black female protesters have formed a line and are wearing duct tape gags.

Apologies in advance to the Mod for any undesired political posts this alert might bring about, but this scene appeared to be part of a dramatization rather than recycled actual footage, which would otherwise make the scene off-topic.

New HBO series
This may have potential: Kelly Preston has been cast in Suburban Shootout, a pilot that Barry Sonnenfeld is directing for HBO. The show is based on a darkly comic British TV series, in which an urban woman escapes to the countryside, only to find herself caught in between rival gangs of murderous housewives. The Jerry Maguire alumna will play the leader of one of the gangs.

I actually didn't think this one was all that much trouble to edit. It came out to eight sequences that needed stitching together (one of which needed brightening), which for a 3 1/2 minute clip is nothing. Like you, I did leave out some bits, including the entire scene at the 29-minute mark with no visible restraints.

Long shot on One Life to Live?
As of yesterday (May 21), the character of Natalie on the ABC soap "One Life to Live" (you may recall her as one of the two famous cheerleaders from a few years back) had a man tied to a chair and gagged in a stable. I couldn't tell where the storyline was going, but it's possible that the situation could reverse itself; those of you with Tivos may want to keep an eye on this one...

Obviously, plenty of TV and serial actresses found themselves B & G more than once playing the same character.

Hope springs eternal of course (unless she's kept tightly bound and gagged) but it's VERY unlikely. That's why I hate slasher movies. All they're interested in doing is killing the pretty girls. Well, maybe a boyfriend will have her tied as foreplay when Jason shows up. But it's a real longshot.

I'm thinking "Over the Line" is "Over the Wire." But before I think farther, are you looking strictly for consensual scenes like the ones you have listed, or do nonconsensual scenes like the one in "Opposing Force" count? Or what about scenes that start out consensual but subsequently go nonconsensual like "Do You Like To Watch?" Also, does it matter if the sex is consummated onscreen or not, i.e., would a scene like the one in "Sex Monster" count?

You might be able to find some good stuff with my search engine (in addition to Brian's, of course). I don't currently have keywords for "bed" or "chair," unfortunately, but I do have one for "sexual content" for scenes in which intercourse is "explicitly implied," which provides 36 hits at the moment. The "full spreadeagle," "underwear" and "nudity" keywords may also be helpful -- maybe try all four of those with "match any" checked -- and remember that you can search by medium and date ranges as well. Have fun!

Skinamax is US slang alrighty, but I can't take credit for it, it's been widely used on some sites on the Internets to describe late-night cable movies that feature lots of sex and nudity for years now.

In addition to "erotic" "sexy" and "sex" as keywords in the description field often come up with hits for this kind of thing.

Blog update and inexplicably overdressed damsels
Today's blog update is a piece on "Danger of Mass Bikini Babe Abduction Scenes." It's must reading for television directors everywhere. None of whom read my blog, I suspect, but there it is.

Also, a question Jay had leads me to a question to post here: it's been reported several times on this site that damsels who are dressed in sexy garb or at least revealing garb elsewhere in the movie will inexplicably be wearing baggy, unrevealing clothing for their damsel in distress scenes.

I was wondering if any of us can recall some specific examples. Best I can do is a scene where a very shapely damsel (I think Lisa Eilbacher in "Deadly Intent", but don't hold me to it) wears a very, very baggy sweater concealing her very nice rack. But I'm not sure what she wore prior.

Anybody have some more clear-cut examples, or is the meme of inexplicably overdressed damsels an example of reverse scene creep?

YEs. The movie sucks but it does come through. Woman - Avril Lavigne, possibly; I didn't pay that much attention to who was who - is tied to a bed a couple of times, gagged with good ol' gray duct tape once. Some struggling. Some stress marks (bruising, cuts and the like) on the damsel, which some people don't care for. Lighting was so-so.

Not a bad scene, not an especially memorable scene. Worth a rental if it's cheap or if you have Netflix and can get something good to watch afterwards.

I don't have any empirical evidence to back it up, but I *have* noticed that what feels like "very often", a female character on a crime show who has consistently worn skirts will suddenly decide to wear slacks... and it *just* *happens* to be the day she gets bound & gagged by a bad guy. :-(

Yeah, Oldtimer/Experts were snarking on a scene awhile back. She was snatched (in a shootout? during a night out?) and when she's shown again she out of her mini-dress and in a baggy pant and sweatshirt?

Recalled after reading Pat's "Threshold" blog. I wanted to get the title as curious:
Did Collectors edit out a disguise attempt to elude a Police dragnet?
Or was this just a humourous continuity goof?

Watch, Brian will probably pick it out of the DB in one shot.. ;)

Got Evidence one I asking about, unfortunately replies without Original/No Title & Actress.

Recall joking with someone that saw that if no Collector edit, nor disguise/evasion scene? Then the gal probably went to Tim Hortons on break, spilled something and had to take the dress to drycleaners and tried to bluff by B&G'd in her streetclothes hoping no one realise the goof?
The person joking with (70%??) sure no evasion scene when he watched and figured my drycleaners theory plausible

Find the film Title, Evidence!
See an empty Tim's cup beside the B&G'd actress and we'll have Motive! ;)

You aren't thinking of the famous "Knight Rider" episode "Give Me Liberty", are you?
-------
Record number: 865

Title: Knight Rider
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Robin Dearden

Description: Episode: "Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death" (1.15)

When Liberty (Dearden) is caught overhearing the baddies' conversation, she's first handgagged, then bound and gagged with white tape. She's shown sitting on a couch as they discuss what to do with her. She's wearing a t-shirt, pants and jacket.

As part of a scheme to make it looked like she died in some sort of accident, she is taken the side of the racetrack inside a large box in the back of a van. She is taken out, carried her over the shoulder to the large rock, then tied to it with white rope, next to a bomb. She is wearing a crash helmet. Michael (David Hasselhoff), of course, arrives in time to save her. The next scene shows the still bound and gagged heroine seated next to him in KITT, as he teases his captive audience.

The sequence begins around the 43' mark.
-------
Not mentioned in the dBase entry: Liberty (Robin) is captured wearing a red dress & heels... and when next we see her, she's in sneakers, jeans, blouse, & jacket. Did the villains play dress-up, with Liberty (Robin) as their Barbie™?

Record number: 2176

Title: Curfew (1989)

Description: Kyle Richards is tied to a chair, hands behind back, ankles together. She is wearing a mini-skirt and heels. There are some nice close ups of Kyle Richards's wrists as she tries to work her hands free.

There is some male interference throughout. Action commences approx 50 minutes into film and runs throughout the last half hour.

Re: Scene of the year
Just finished clipping Untraceable, since Zar reminded us of it. I was particularly amused by this excerpt from the commentary track, in which the director is both entirely honest and contradicting himself three times in the space of a minute because he knows how that honesty might sound:

"We shot this at the very end of shooting, so that...you don't do it on purpose, but in fact you do, is that...something where your star is put in, not a dangerous position, but it is still dangerous, and you don't know what's going to happen. You don't want to shoot that in the middle of the movie; we put it at the very end. ... Again, this was, God forbid something happened with Diane, we wanted to have the rest of the movie in the can. You never want to do that..."

Oh, sure they did. :)
