Haha...but of course!!!

I did used to host a Yahoo Group but eventually I felt that way was outdated and I don't have the basic HTML, java skills to compete with this simple yet effective format. Still...maybe one day.

Thanks to everone who contributes or just stops by to see what's going on out there with our little hobby.

General Hospital handcuff scene on Tuesday
For those who probably missed it, I came across a scene in General Hospital this afternoon where Claire Coffee (aka nurse Nadine Crowell) was in handcuffs. Putz alert though. Look for it around the 20 minute mark on Tuesday's episode through around 40' minute mark.

Dunno if it'll interest some of you but I'm pretty sure there are some handcuff fans over here ;)

The good news is that you don't need to get anywhere near Java if you're simply interested in hosting a forum, and you don't even really need to know HTML. There are a number of free, out-of-the-box solutions out there. One popular choice is phpBB -- which I know Wavy uses for the Slumberville forums, and he's a good guy, so I imagine he'd be happy to share experiences and tips if you decide to go for it.

This is tech stuff, so see me on Trades for my response.

Good luck finding it. I went to two big named stores yesterday and didn't find a single one. Even Amazon is Temporarily out of stock. Alot of sick.....Oh, wait a minute, I am wanting this movie also. Strike that.

I did find a heck of alot of Otis dvds. I picked one up, but have not scanned through it. Too involved in C&C3 at the moment to watch anything.

Directv subcriber Alert
Directv is offering a free preview of their premium movie channels this Friday (6am) to Mon (6am). I am aware of Hairspray, I Know Who Killed Me, and Candymand:Day of the Dead or airing this weekend. I would post alerts, but view the channel schedule with zap2it serious bogs my dialup down.

Just aheads up for the lucky few.

For those of you who use NetFlix, I got mine yesterday put into my queue at the #1 position, so it ought to be here in a day or so. It's definitely available there.

"Don't Worry, We'll Think of a Title"
So about 3 am (CST) this morning I wake up with one of my occasional insomnia spells and start channel surfing thru TIVO and I see some flick called "Don't Worry, We'll Think of a Title" (1966) coming up on TCM at 5. It "stars" all the second tier players from the Dick Van Dyke show, but what really gets my attention is the plot, which is something about commie spies.

I figure the chances of a scene are slim to none because someone would have posted it already, but what the hell, I set it to record and was rewarded!

At the very end, an attractive blonde (In the credits her name is listed as January Jones.) spends several minutes bound and gagged sitting on a stool a la Joi Lansing in Hillbilly's In A Haunted House. She doesn't have Joi's rack, but she's wearing a skirt and heels from that era and she does have really nice legs.

It's not a "OMG must have" but it's definitely a keeper if you run across it.

Just goes to show that even today you can find a nice scene from the past now and then.

You can view TCM website and see their tv schedule for this month and the next two months. I tend to have trouble scanning the list and relating it to the database for alert postings. I save the three month's schedules and tend to browse through them, but movies like this just don't ring a bell. It all comes back to that script problem again.

There some serious nonsense with this.

I've been trying to hit the stations' scheds themselves as an alternative

Is this the contemporary actress January Jones, the one with the nearly flawless face? Isn't it a bizarre coincidence that there are two actresses from different decades with the same unusual name?

Just wanted to add, it's over. This turned out to be a pretty nice scene for a hands-in-front. Lorena's dressed well for it from the waist up, she's drugged, bound hands front in a convincing manner with torn bedsheets, which are also used to cleave gag her, then she's dragged across the floor in a full body shot, and terrorized by an attractive nut case blond who's tormented by her other selves. They take a car ride which ends the ocean (but it's a happy ending). The gag is not bad at all, you can tell it was shot over a few sessions because it's slightly tighter near the end. There's an endless number of well lit closeups. And Lorena Rojas is another extremely attractive latina.

I just posted this lengthy scene on the video page - not to be confused with Guest's posts of the entire episode.

Nice! After some server problems this morning, my clips of the scene are up as well. On the downside, I completely missed the setup to the sequence (drugged drink / stabbed boyfriend). One the upside, my clips are hi-res. It takes a village...

I, too, rented "Harm's Way", and was about to compose a Database entry for this movie, but then consulted the voluminous Scene Database and found that the Entry for this movie already existed.

wicked wicked
thanks for the database entry on "wicked wicked"...I need to try and catch this one next time it airs. one request....weren't we all gonna try & give times in the movie for scenes? i know lots of older entries didn't bother with scene time but most newer entries people have graciously put the scene times in. to whoever entered the entry, any chance of revising it to include scene times? for those of us who use dvd recorders and want best possible quality, we must use HQ mode and that gives an hour per disc so in a 2-hour movie the scene time, at least approximate, is very helpful.
i hope this didn't sound ungrateful or anything, just a suggestion that would be very much appreciated by all i'm sure.

...There was some discussion on these pages about "Wicked, Wicked" over the weekend, which you apparently were not aware of. Anywhoo, I mentioned in one of my postings that Tiffany Bolling's scenes occur in the last 10 minutes of the movie that runs about 90 minutes. Will that suffice for your recording purposes?

I'm all for including scene times, though as a hobbyist, I also have to say that live recording strikes me as a bit of an odd use for a write-once recording medium. Might you be better off blowing a hundred bucks (or less) on a cheap DVR for previewing purposes, and burning to disc only once you know what you're looking at?

First off, thanks Overlooker for the scene times...very helpful, and yes I must have missed that post.

Also, yes Raffish you have a good point, I'm probably a bit behind-the-times, but what I do is record scenes onto a DVD-R, then transfer all the bondage parts to a "master" disc. So I have 50-75 discs full of scenes dubbed from the originals but with all the extraneous stuf edited out. So my actual collection is all second generation I know, but I'd rather have them that way, then the entire episodes, movies, etc. on a million discs or onto a TiVo or DVR, which if went haywire I'd loose all my scenes. I guess I just like habing "hard copies" I can hold in my hand or put on a shelf. And I hate collection clips, etc. to keep on my computer....same reason....computer crashes it's all gone & I suck at remembering to make a backup everytime I add a scene.
I used to dub everything onto VHS tapes, like most of us did, and am in the process of transferring them to DVD as well.

I agree, Rex, I do it that way myself! I like having my collection on actual discs or tapes (I haven't finished transferring all my VHS tapes to DVD yet) rather than on a device like a computer or DVR. I just feel a bit safer that way! Besides, I'd rather watch a scene on a nice big-screen TV than a little 13" computer screen!

Speaking of WIcked Wicked, the database entry mentions 2 scenes for Ms. Bolling, but I just saw one, which sound from the description like the second one...she's unconscious, head appears wrapped in a towel, gagged, and a guy sharpening knives above her head as she wakes. As I scrolled backwards, the next time she's seen is when she's taking a shower & then standing in a dark place, realizing the killer is standing to her left (OUR right), and gasps. Next shot of her is the scene I described above. Was there an earlier scene before her shower scene? I wouldn't have thought so but I've scrolled thru the movie 3 times & besides a dark, distant shot of what looks like her being carried out of the passageway by the baddie (and that scene certainly doesn't sound like the "first" scene listed in the database entry), there is nothing between her shower & the shot of her uunconscious & the knife-sharpening scene.

WHere is the first scene??

Also, does anyone know the ID of the cleave gagged actress on the guillotine??

Yeah, I just forgot to include scene times, and since all the action occurs in the last ten minutes its especially germane in this entry. I've updated it accordingly, giving the time as 15 minutes to allow plenty of fudge factor.

No, that's the first one. The second one has her being held by the villain on DuoScreen as the good guys close in on him (he's unaware of it). The sequence goes like this, IIRC: The initial capture occurs when he's stalking her. She's hiding from him, he's hiding from someone or other, they're both in the same location and their are spotlights on both their faces. He looks back and sees her. Next scene is him dragging her down the passage as you mentioned. Too dark and distant for me to count as a scene. Then the scene of the knife sharpening in front of her face, then the scene of her being held by him. I counted them as two different scenes, another person might count them as one, I dunno.

It's the knife sharpening scenes.

I checked the IMDB database for "Woman in Guillotine" in the cast list and didn't see anything like that, so I took a pass on IDing her.

How to Rob a Bank
If you were like me and really wanted to see this movie but couldn't in the past, now you can. You can watch it online at the link below. Maybe someone will be nice enough to get the clips together for this movie (I would but I haven't learned how to yet). Enjoy.
