Did anyone else catch "Sybil" on CBS last night?
If so, could you fill us in on whether anything of interest to us-and, of course, appropriate for discussion here-happened in the first 37 minutes?

Someone near and dear to us got one of those newfangled DVD/VCR thingamajigs recently, and thus didn't manage to grab the movie's beginning.

I can tell you that unlike Sally Field in the 1976 original, Tammy Blanchard does give us a brief psycho-strapping at what I'm guessing would be an hour and seven minutes. (Ironically, she's released from the restraints by Jessica Lange, who narrowly missed winning an Oscar a quarter-century ago for spending some time similarly bound in "Frances.")

And while I can't delve into details for obvious reasons, those not-suitable-for-discussion-here aspects that anyone who saw the end of the first version will be all too familiar with are mercifully dealt with much less explicitly in the remake. In fact, the not-ready-for-the-database scene which climaxed the original is gone. Nonetheless, nothing of what replaced it will go into the database entry I'm contemplating. I just want to make sure I haven't missed anything that SHOULD be in it

Fox News Sunday
Just now, Fox News Sunday was talking about a teacher that used masking tape to tape a student to his chair.

As a joke, they said they had to tape an misbehaving intern to her chair, cut to cute blonde (from Kansas?) taped to a chair, no gag, but a big smile on her face.

I think they used a combination of black duct tape and masking tape. It was meant for a laugh, so it was loose.

I didn't have a chance for caps, but someone else might have.

Fox & Friends News Sunday
I can confirm what John said earlier about the scene this morning. Cute scene--lots of tape! Get your Tivo going--they may visit this story again in the next two hours. They have Courtney Friel doing the news--I can only hope they give her the treatment!

Naomi Watts & Funny Games
I regret to report there are no extras on the DVD release of Funny Games. Nothing extra.

Spanish Telenovella
Hey guys. I've been bored this afternoon, so I thought I'd go thru a bunch of my old yahoo groups when I came across some hot caps from a telenovella I believe to be called "Caminhos do Coração", featuring at least a handful of what appear to be kick ass bondage scenes.

I know this is pretty obscure, but I'm hoping some of our spanish-speaking fans out there might know anything about the show. If needed, I can post the link to the group where I first found the caps.

Thanks to Pat Powers
Pat: Many thanks for your efforts to flesh out, as it were, the DB entry for the flick "Wicked, Wicked." A very thorough job & one that I had no great desire to do.

As for the reasons for the brevity of some of the older DB entries, I may have come up with something. There's a mention of "Wicked, Wicked" in the "Bound for Hollywood" article by Carl McGuire in "Bondage Life #37." [As an aside, I should point out that I have a complete set of all 85 issues of that notorious publication.] The old DB entry has the same wording as that used by McGuire. Can't you just see some contributor to the nascent Brian's Page getting his new "Bondage Life" and promptly firing up the [very!!] old computer to update the DB with a slew of new entries? Probably had to work by candlelight, ehhh? Warms the cockles, no??

Here's an I.D. for those of you who are, once again, educated in the way of the telenovela. I know the actress (see title of post) but now I'm trying to pin down the soap so I can begin searching for the scene.

You're correct, some copied right out of that 1000 - 2000 series

I'm having trouble following Rob's German Alerts,
but there one" GSG - "Frau tapegagged war"

===

Okay, the lead GSG 9 guy wife (or Frau), gets into her car and grabbed from behind right at the end...

"Fortsetzung folgt..."

Earlier, or "24 Stunden frueher" Two bandits blew an electricity station and had grabbed another gal. Handcuffed her by a wrist to the side of their van..

Along with cool highway highspeed jumping on a truck stunt, hostage at gas station antics.
======

Pretty sure this "Hochspannung" Teil 1

If anyone can figure out his GSG 9 alerts and let me know if tapegagged frau war is in around Hochspannung,
you'd be assisting in a DB entry and an alert

Thanks
Jay L
