In British soaps and certain cop shows, there seems to be a determined policy of making it usually the exact opposite! "Hollyoaks" may be an exception because everyone in that show is good-looking. |

It gets a little old when there's constant complaining of women over 25 being too old and destitute to be a DiD. Last night's episode, Miss Janine, the actress is played by Isabel Keating. She's not that bad. On another note, I am amazed nobody metions Barabara Niven as a DiD in the recent movie Redline. I guess since she's over 50 OMG she 's not DiD worthy. |

| Talked to a nice guy in the CableOne Internet Support Center. This is what he told me regarding the Viacom/YouTube situation: 1. Viacom is mainly interested in the persons who upload its products illegally and only marginaly interested in those who download the videos 2. It is more, or less, INDUSTRY STANDARD for ISPs to give their customers Dynamic/Non-Static [randomly changing] IP addresses 3. What you view at YouTube could only be tracked back to you if the trackers happen to do the tracing while that IP Address is still active 4. With a Dynamic/Non-Staic address the tracers would have to prove that the IP Address belonged to you when the viewing/downloading occured 5. Cableone does not keep records of who had what IP addy when and he doubted that anuy other ISP provider did either He supposed it could be done somehow, on a case by case, basis, but it would take some awfully powerful motivation 6. Some companies/schools/government agencies do provide employees/students/etc with STATIC IP addys that stay with them until they leave. The history of these addys would be avavilable as long as the person was associated with the provider and probably for a time afterwards. What it all boils down to, unless you are using a school/work provided Static IP addy to upload videos, don't sweat it !!!!!!!!!!! |

That's very interesting about Comcast. When I lived in civilization I had Comcast. Comcast in St Paul told me that IP addys changed on a random basis I used to visit several sites that had a 'your IP address zxxbhfgsdhsg is being logged' popup. Over the course of several months that box showed over a dozen different IP addys for me. So I took Comcast at its word. The CableOne rep said that they do assign each customer a 'machine number' that identifies his/her computer to their system, but that it is not an IP address. |

Received this from a friend who went a Comcast support group: "they use dynamic ip addressing... which is why you have to setup your router/firewall to use DHCP on its WAN/external inteface... DHCP by nature will continue to give out the same ip (or just let you keep using the same one) over time... if you shut down your router/firewall for a period that falls outside of the DHCP lease then you could be given a new one the next time you fire up your modem..." So I guess it is possible to have the same IP addy for quite awhile, just depends on how your equipment is configured. |

Based on the above plus the following in a KB interview is encouraging.. MoviesOnline: What about Serious Moonlight? KRISTEN BELL: It was so much fun to do. I had been a big fan of Cheryl Hines before I worked with her and she stepped into the role of just cool, confident female director. It was so impressive. It was Adrienne Shelly’s last script so there was a lot of weight involved with that. MoviesOnline: Have you seen Waitress? KRISTEN BELL: I did and I loved it. And it was almost the same team from “Waitress” and the same producers. There were only 4 characters. It was really cool. It takes place where 3 of them are tied up in the bathroom for half the movie and we shot it in 15 days. It was really interesting. |
