Site Update
This week I'm taking a break from women in prison movies and putting up a revised version of the Firsts in Bondage in Mainstream TV and Movies chart. It is very, very revised. I've broken it out into four major groups: types of gags, forms of bondage, nude bondage and sexual bondage. And there's a separate listing for TV and movies, given that censorship rules affect the two so differently. And wherever possible, I've provided links to vidcaps of the scene in question.

I've done the best I could using Brian's scene database to come up with the earliest scenes in each category, but I suspect that quite a few of the scenes I've listed as "firsts" have predecessors, and I know some are debatable. So if you enjoy nitpicking, here's your chance. I like nitpicking, too, in fact, the whole chart strikes me as an exercise in nitpicking.

The first bit gag in a mainstream movie, so far as I know, from the 1929 version of "Mysterious Island."

Malformed string
I tried to reply to my last post but it said "Malformed string, contact the moderator." What does this mean?

Amantes del Desierto - alert
Scene I mentioned a few days ago featuring Catherine Siachoque began today. Telemundo is running this soap in 2-hour blocks weekday mornings. The chloroform scene just happened approximately 24 minutes into the second hour. Bondage sequence with Siachoque tied to a bed should be over the next couple days at least, depending upon how the network edits it.

Amantes del Desierto - alert
Approximately 34 minutes into the episode, we see Catherine wake up and discover her wrists and ankles have been tied to the 4 posts of a bed.

When I have had that problem, it has always been because I was using colorful Earth metaphors of the sort they don't let you say on TV.

Means use the Contact Link (top right of the page) to contact the Moderator

Report exactly what you were trying to reply to and what error message you got. "Malformed string", etc

Barbara in some sort of predicament at the 10-15 minute mark.

Sorry, not many details here. Have to bail on this one, so someone else must pick up the trail.

This reminds me that recently I got hold of two tapes of the old french movie serial Les Vampires (1915). The scene listed in the database with Musidora is excelent, but on the episode right after it (if you get the VHS tapes of the series) there is another good scene not listed in the database. It's been a couple weeks since I watched it so I don't remember if the girl in it was another henchwoman or the hero's love interest, but I believe she was tied up and OTM gagged at least twice in that episode.

So the episodes with scenes in them are "The Poisoner" and "The Terrible Wedding." There is nothing in "The Thunder Master" or "Satanas," and I've never seen the other 6 episodes.

-For all you history buffs out there.

Scene help - The Avengers
I have seen pictures on the internet of a scene on the Avengers where Tara King is handgagged by a gentleman that looks like a gypsy. He's wearing a red shirt and has a gyspy-like beard. Does anyone know what episode this is from, or how long this scene lasts?

I recently got that error/warning. I removed an image link from my original posting attempt, and it went through. It must be some script filter... or maybe a defense against image cooties. ;-)

I remember that when Geena Davis wrenched one wrist free from the ropes holding her to a water wheel in the under-rated (imho) The Long Kiss Goodnight, that wrist showed up very red and bloody for awhile. Can't remember how long it lasted or whether marks on her other limbs were ever visible.

One Life to Live possibility
Over the weekend on Soapnet there was an ad for stuff to come on One Life to Live which I looked up just in time to see a partial second of. Looked like a raft going over a waterfall with possibly a damsel in, hands tied in front. Don't know if I was just seeing what I wanted to see or if it was real. And if it was real, not sure how far in the future it may be. Hope to have more definite word in days to come.

Yeah, you could just tell that nothing DID wise was gonna happen in the trailer, despite as you say the
"tie them up" line

still Jaime Winstone is now in my top ten most wanted for a full treatment

For its 40th Anniversary, One Life to Live is re-visiting 3 storylines from the past, and one of them was Andrea Evans going over the waterfall. So in today's episode, we saw a couple very brief flashes of that scene from the mid-80s, of her tied in a raft and OTM gag. In today's episode, her daughter was put in a raft and sent on her way over the falls. I believe her legs were strapped in so she couldn't escape, but that was it.

Okay, according to a spoiler site, Sarah goes over a waterfall on Tuesday. Still don't know if she'll be bound, although that would seem to make sense so she can't jump out and swim. But of course this is a soap,so why am I talking about stuff making sense?

Impact Point
I just watched this rather forgettable thriller last night. Its plot concerns a beautiful blonde female beach volleyball player who is stalked by a deranged man. She receives a brief handgag from him late in the movie. Otherwise, its only redeeming feature is the fact that she and several other tall, leggy hotties wear bikinis quite often.

Thanks, I'll check the database listings and see what they have. Sounds like I might have some new firsts. Kewl.
