Correct me if I'm wrong, but I *believe* the important phrase is "no cuts".

Hitchcock's "Rope" is the most famous example. The entire feature-length movie is "one continuous take". Of course, every time the camera is *just* about to run out of film, they pan over some solid object, like the back of a chair, so the editor can make a clean splice.

Now... as to the original question... Sorry, don't have a clue. ;-)

Bound and gagged in novels
I just finished reading Rebecca Drake's "Don't Be Afraid."
The main character, Emma receives the treatment towards the end of the book. If anyone knows of any other bound and gagged damsels in novels please let me know. Thank you.
I would also like to know if there are any David Baldacci novels that have any bound and gagged damsels.

Seriously. Does this movie only take place in one room? And only duct tape? Come on. They could've done better than that.

How about Jennifer Beals' scene in "Four Rooms?"

Well I just got done recapping Invasion of the Girl Snatchers last weekend (which really is an agonizing experience because it means I basically have to watch the whole movie) and there were some very long scenes in it with no cutting at all. That would definitely be a contender.
The Abductors hmay have had some long takes too.

Very good point, this had a couple of really long takes.

Book Bondage - Bond, Stephanie Bond
On the flip side of Let's Go Play at the Adams is a book by Stephanie Bond called Kids is a 4 Letter Word. It's a romance novel that opens with the heroine finding a babysitter tied up by the kids of a man she's destined to fall in love with. Here's what Amazon says:
Jo Montgomery was an interior decorator, not a babysitter. But when she discovered her new client's frantic babysitter tied to the stake and surrounded by pint-size demons, she had no choice--she had to let the woman free. Unfortunately, the babysitter fled for her life and Jo was stuck with the little demons in question. What was she going to do? She didn't know anything about the kids, and she had no intention of ever finding out. That is, until she met John Sterling, the children's father.

Sounds like a good Lifetime movie!

I would guess that candidates would include weekly TV shows from the 1960s and earlier (when every TV-show had a "Doctor Who"-like budget) or soap operas. Because of their daily schedule, soaps don't have the luxury of shooting multiple re-takes (except to correct blown lines), setting up different camera angles, etc.

More book bondage
Who'd have thought you'd find a scene in the Parenting section of your book store! The book is called "By the Book: Taking Care of My Kids" and it's simply a book for parents to fill out info for the sitter. The only scene is the cover itself. It features a drawing of a hot "soccor mom", Terri Hatcher with short hair, tied up by some brats dressed as pirates. No gag.

I think "no cuts" is kind of a technical thing. I interpreted it to mean, "uninterrupted" -- at no point do they cut away to another scene.

Thanks Pat, that is what I meant :-)

While the secene in the living room could very easily have been done in one continous take, I'm sure that they shot the closeups seperately then edited everything into the long scene.

Maria Sorte's scene in De Frente Al Sol is another good candidate. One of the best and most prolonged gag scenes ever.

No, they have been playing the last few episodes, and have not started to replay the episodes from the beginning yet.

Thanx Van, that's the term I was looking for - "One continuous take".

Never even thought of the Hitchcock movie. I would imagine that would be the winner...

Thanx again Van. By the way, love your site...

Some movies had the actress remain bound even between takes. Ron Howard had them remain tied and gagged since the gags where troublesome to take off and put back on. Untraceble had them bring in a table for Lane to rest in between takes when the blood rushed to her head.

For the longest in one take, don't know since most tend to take several takes of a scene. Maybe they do that for their fun and Hitchcock was more into the movie itself.

About a 40-second taken with her tape-gagged. Unheard-of today with all the quick MTV-style cuts in film and TV

Stephanie Cayo
Talk about a wish list, only the clothing description is left out; I remember her having a scene in another soap. I hope someone can record and post this one because it looks to be good:

Day: Thursday August 07 2008
Time: 5:00 p.m. Central
Channel: Telefutura
Previews for this episode show a burly goon chloroforming and kidnapping beautiful Stephanie Cayo. She's placed in the backseat of a car unconscious. There are also shots in the preview of her awake in the backseat of the car, a white cleave gag in her mouth, her hands tied behind her back with a bunch of rope. Her legs are also bound just below the knee with a bunch of rope.

Scare Tactics
Last night's Scare Tactics featured a woman chloroformed and then bound and gagged in the last segment. Should repeat sometime next week on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Yeah, she's really hot. And unfortunately, I can't stay up tonight to watch it. I have to get up pretty early. I know there's a log for this, but it lacks one major detail. One of the only details I really give a shit about...

Are her ankles bound? Can anyone tell me? Please? Pretty please, with bound Naomi Watts on top?

I'd really appreciate MORE DETAIL. Thanks!
