Sunday September 21 01:58:02 2008 Upside-down damsels |
I remember a scene from "Amazons" in which a few female heroines are hoisted into the air, dangling upside down by one or both ankles. Not THAT'S a movie rarity. What are some other upside-down suspensions of females (preferably in distress and/or scantily clad) in mainstream movies? By "mainstream" I mean, for all intents and purposes, the movie or relevant clip is somehow attainable. Sounds like the sort of thing Pat would have an inventory and witty article about, but of course I'll happily take input from everyone. :) --HoistFan |

> What are some other upside-down suspensions of females > (preferably in distress and/or scantily clad) in > mainstream movies? Irene Jacob in Spy Games (1999) Record number: 2856 Title: Spy Games (1999) aka History Is Made at Night Medium: Movie Actress: Irene Jacob Description: French Actress Irene Jacob plays a Russian spy who lives with, and has fallen in love with her assignment, CIA agent Bill Pullman. In the last half hour of the film, Irene, wearing black leather pants, and a black sweater, tries to switch sides. Her bosses catch her and she is grabbed up. (Literally. A "Russian" thug grabs her, turns her upside down, and walks out of the room with her as she kicks her legs in the air.) She is chair tied, interrogated for a minute or two, and then tape gagged with silver duct tape. Some good struggling, some short but great mmmphing, and a couple of great close-ups. In a second scene we get a close up of her tape gagged face, hanging upside down from the roof of an abandoned warehouse. She's lowered on a winch, the tape is removed, and her arms are held by two toughs while Pullman and his ex-Soviet counterpart negotiate over a (literally) explosive videotape |

I'll keep this post in mind in case you're proven wrong so I can rub that statement in your face. Like I said in a previous post, nothing tells us that they won't merge two angles for a 6-person tag match for instance in the next couple of weeks as they could probably bubble wrap both a male and a female during the match. So to me, the possibility of seeing a Smackdown Diva gagged isn't that far-fetched to me. Who expected Joy Giovanni to pop out of a limo trunk bound and gagged in January of 2005? Who expected Trish Stratus to get abducted by MNM and ending up chairtied and tapegagged only 1 week after the passing of Eddie Guerrero in November of 2005? And who expected Ashley Massaro to find herself chairtied and gagged in the middle of the ring, thanks to Mickie James in March of 2006? I'm just saying, man: it happens when you least expect it. |

Captive with Irina Brooks, also suspended nude, hands tied behind (I think) and upside down but blindfolded (with goggles) and not gagged. Rise: Blood Hunter. A topless Cameron Richardson is suspended upside down tied hands behind and gagged. Later in the movie, a clothed Lucy Liu is suspended upside down with her hands tied behind her back. War Cat: a clothed female motorcycle gang member is shown suspended upside down by the ankles, from the bottom of an outdoor water tower, being poked and harassed by her captors. That oughtta do for now. It is an interesting topic. I'll bet there are a lot more scenes involving women caught by their feet in one of those noose traps. |

I can predict near total agreement on that one. I'm surprised that no one else is mentioning Deathstalker -- there are at least two tied damsels and one chained damsel and maybe more hidden in amongst the orgy scene. |

(unsigned poster) wrote: > What are some other upside-down suspensions of females > (preferably in distress and/or scantily clad) in > mainstream movies? --HoistFan Caroline Munro was shown hands bound behind and hung by her ankles in 'Star Crash.' It was disappointing because (a) the scene was shot at medium/long range, and (b) Ms. Munro is wearing some gawdawful plastic raincoat-like outfit, instead of one of the more revealing ones she wore in the rest of the movie. By the way, I got to meet Ms. Munro at a convention several years back and she mentioned in passing that the scene in question took a whole day to shoot and lasts less than a minute in the final cut. We weren't discussing bondage as much as what a moron the director was. |

Sunday September 21 10:23:45 2008 TV series with female co-star in constant trouble |
I'm looking for TV shows where the star is a guy, and the co-star is a lady who seems to be a "trouble-magnet" and occasionally ends up bound and gagged. Here's what I've found so far: "Lois & Clark" - Teri Hatcher "Adventures of Superman" - Noel Neill "Walker, Texas Ranger" - Sheree J. WIlson "The X-Files" - Gillian Anderson "T.J. Hooker" - Heather Locklear |

Sunday September 21 15:03:33 2008 The Ruby in the Smoke |
Tonight on PBS, starring Billie Piper of Dr Who, as a sort of female Sherlock Holmes. Apparently aired in GB 2 years ago; any scenes anyone knows about? Thanks. |

The most recent, of course, is Diane Lane in "Untraceable" I have fond memories of Stephanie Powers in "The Girl from UNCLE" episode "Dog Gone" where she dangles tied up over a pit of crocodiles. A little jewell I have is a Mexican movie "Mujeres de Medianoche" (I have described it on the database). |

If I'm wrong, I'll give you the salt to rub in my open wound. The whole point of Jesse & Festus doing this is because of the move from the CW to MyNetwork TV. These guys have been wrestling singles matches, not tag team. There really isn't a storyline there. Not to contradict myself, but there is a .00000000001% chance. I re-watched my tape of Smackdown & saw the scene between Eve & Vicki where Eve said she's been training to compete. I could possibly see Vicki making a match with Eve facing Festus as punishment. Maybe we should cut this convo short before The Moderator steps in & says it's off-topic. |

Piper's character Sally Lockhart is handgagged in a very dark coach for about a second before she draws her little pistol and shoots the knife-wielding villain at point blank range. So small a scene I almost forgot it! I think one frame, or maybe two, show her face, but you can't see much. One for the completists... |

The question begs for the definition of "damsel in distress." Isn't the actual answer, "every single show with a female co-star?" From Superman and Batman (who had to add a female co-star just to find some big breasted babe in a tight leather outfit to tie and gag) to "the X files," I can't think of a female co-star who was not gagged and tied at least once and most more often than that. Even "Wonder Woman" invented a female partner named Diana Prince just to have some beauty to tie up, which was done multiple times, three with a black cleave gag. |

Recently I found a clip from this British series not described in the database. It is quite remarkable for the great-looking gag which is realistic, tight and snug. The bad guy tenderly takes care of a fronthead wound while he gives her a traditional psycho speech. She can oly patiently submit in silence. Can anybody identify the actress or the episode? |
