But Polaroids were expensive so I only did it for what I considered the very best scenes -- Ally Sheedy in "Deadly Lessons" and Stephanie Beacham in "The Nightcomers." Amazing how well these scenes have stood the test of time, even though the Polaroids have long since been replaced with digital video recordings. |

Friday October 24 11:22:44 2008 The Today Show |
For anyone who watched or recorded this, was Crissy Moran on The Today Show this morning or not? I went to sleep after the first 2 hours (it is on from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM) and didn't wake up in time to change my tape (I was checking the tape every hour). I missed from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. |

Friday October 24 11:30:56 2008 Guiding Light |
Didn't watch yesterday's ep, but in the beginning she is untied and not blindfolded. She help the kidnapper get free. But it only gets her hands bound in front and tied off to the inside of the van (very long rope). She is blindfolded also and gets regagged (poorly) in the last 20 minutes. Just before the previews, the kidnapper shows Dinah that Lizzie is blindfolded and gagged while setting in the front passenger seat of the van. Previews show Dinah talking with the kidnapper, but nothing with Lizzie. Only assume she may make a cameo appearance. |

Will be buying this film on dvd,and hope for something good here.I haven't got my hopes up though.Don't think Angelina Jolie's character will be involved in any damsel in distress scene.Personally,I've never seen her in any DID scene ever. |

Friday October 24 16:23:32 2008 Bait |
On last week's Smaallville Lois (Erica Durance) said we'll be the bait. Most of the time the villian says to the damsel "You'll be the bait". What exmaples can you find where the damsel talks about being the bait ? |

I couldn't find this issue. I went to a few different places and they had the October 30th issue for sale. There was nothing of interest in that one. How was Jessica taped? (Hands behind, ankles taped, etc...) I can probrably find a copy on Ebay; if the picture is worth it. |

(unsigned poster) wrote: > (unsigned poster) wrote: > Personally I'm really not sure what's wrong with using "guy." > dunno what good it does to call them names. Oh well. The word says something about the poster, but also how badly it screws up the scene, "major putz" being more descriptive than just "putz" for example, and in addition it makes sure that everyone knows that talking about guys in scenes is yucky; don't want anyone to get the wrong idea, you know. But don't forget, just because the preview showed a guy, it doesn't mean there isn't a girl too. |

Like what wrong idea? Doesn't it go without saying that a guy that collects scenes of women getting tied up is a straight guy? Calling a male actor a "putz", a "major putz" (!), or a "candyass" doesn't prove my manhood. Sorry. If it's really that fragile, I'd have a problem. Those terms are both stupid and childish. And there are times having men and women in a scene improves it, gives it more context. It depends. Again, it should go without saying why you like the scene, what you're concentrating on and what you're not. Nobody's looking over your shoulder (I hope). What's the problem? |

Friday October 24 23:45:07 2008 Re: NCIS |
Well for some people, I think it really, really ruins a scene if there's a dude involved- like to the point they almost wish there wasn't a scene at all. I can understand why'd they want to vent their anger (to a point). I think putz is a good description, though candyass is pushing it a little bit. Me, I don't like it when a putz are in a scene, though somewhat inexplicably I love it when a putz is tied up with a girl(s), and only the girl is gagged. |
