Saturday November 15 11:23:45 2008 Upcoming Scene - The Shield |
Saw a preview for this week's episode of The Shield. It had a woman tape gagged with a pink rag in her mouth. This should be a decent scene. |

I would assume Rose is filling the months before the start of principal photography working out in the gym and drilling with a sword master. If this was the 80's, my first choice for the role of Red Sonja would have been JAMIE ROSE. {Schwing!} Later... ANGIE EVERHART, maybe. Anyhoo, since it's the mid-00's, I'd have to do an extensive casting search for a *new* Flame-haired Celtic Goddess. There are a *lot* or gorgeous redheads out there (as you know I know), but all my would-be-Sonjas are too short. Bummer. (Rose McGowan wouldn't even have been on my list.) ANYanyhoo, seeing as no one has volunteered to give *me* several million dollars to make my own Red Sonja movie... I guess we'll have to just wait and see if Ms. McGowan can pull this off. |

Saturday November 15 13:40:34 2008 Life on Mars |
Well they did it. The idiots that produce television in this day of liberal america have finally produced a Mutli Bound and gagged DID (with an increadibly hot actress)scene that ...sucked...yep, so bad i erased it from TIVO directly after the show. If anyone here has been watching life on mars (about a 2008 cop in a coma living his comatose life in 1970 NYPD, you would have to watch to understand) you probably have been drooling over the blond lead actress who is a 1970 version of female police officer. Anyhow, lst episode had her tape gagged, bound hands behind and then hooded with at least two other females and...it sucked!!!!! why... 1. gag was he size of a bandaid. 2 didnt show her hands tied 3. about 10 putzes got the treatment first (two from her) 4. completely unbeleivabe scene 5 a putz aqctually had a longer scene earlier in the episode with a half way decent cleve gag I could cry. But being a lemons from lemonaid kind of guy, at east they had a scene in the first ten episodes, and seem like they will lean towards bondage scenes rather than away (cus these gags were not needed) So for completests....check it out...others bring a hanky for your tears if you watch. |

The Greyman wrote: > Funny, I didn't know they had plastic surgeons and botox > back in the Hyborian Age... Seems that everyone is familiar with the comic book Red Sonja, but few anymore realize that Roy Thomas took her from a supporting character (Red Sonya, iirc) in one of Robert E. Howard's lesser-known short stories "Shadow of the Vulture" perhaps?). No chain mail bikini included in that one, of course, or any of the goddessly intervention stuff. Which I know probably doesn't matter at all to anyone else, but I'm killin' time on a slow afternoon and like to be the pedantic dork on the rare occasions that I can. I now return you to the regular DiD stuff. |

Two responses: That image of the red-head really looks like Rebecca Romijn with red hair more than anyone else - and I think she would have the statuesque presence and physical height to pull off the role better than many suggested. The other is that's quite an insult to Rose McGowan - she is only 35 and I really wouldn't presume that she's had botox or plastic surgery! (I would chalk that pic up to make-up and the model's trick of tape inside the gown) -Clarifier |
Saturday November 15 16:45:34 2008 Crash |
there was a mention about some preview for the Show "Crash" thats on starz, that showed a bound and gagged female. Is there any updates on this? is the scene still yet to come or has it been shown already? |

Oh, photographers can do pretty much what they want with the human face, making people look bad in one photo and good in another. For example, here's a photo of Rose taken in 2008 whose intent was clearly to flatter (see below): I'm gonna be all right so long as the cinematography on Red Sonja can bring out this Rose McGowan ... and I bet they can. They've had a lot practice with many another actress. |

Van wrote: ... Rose McGowan is *still* in the title > role. ... Unfortunately, much like Jessica Beil she is a beauty best bound and not heard. "Jawbreaker" was the only work of hers I could stand viewing and not shutting the audio off when she spoke. Not to be a joykill but I think we've seen the last of the 'sword and sorcery decent bondage' with "Xena", there hasn't been much worth mentioning in a while. |

(And *no*, I'm not posting an alert. I'm making a point.) There hasn't *been* any Sword & Sorcery fare worth mentioning since Xena, bondage or otherwise. The only such efforts on the small screen the last several years have been the made-for-SciFi "original movies" with dragon or gargoyle themes, and they've all been *VERY* bad. As my beard turns ever more gray, I've learned two things, my sons. (1) Ya gotta have hope (unless you watch Fox News). The next show might be the bondage-fest of your dreams. The plot of "Prince of Persia" might involve the rescue of a comely princess from the dungeons of King Shibari! Ziva might go undercover, in a chainmail bikini, as an Amazon Sword-Maiden at a Fantasy Convention and run afoul of a serial bondage fiend in the very next episode of "NCIS"! Ya gotta have hope! (2) There hasn't been anything decent on TV since the last Emma Peel episode of "The Avengers"! Now... you kids get off outta my yard!! |

Saturday November 15 22:11:18 2008 help needed whiz kids |
I've seen on youtube the tied up scene of Andrea Elson on Whiz Kids from about 1985. I was a kid myself when the show aired and I remember looking forward (because of the potential in the plot synopsis) to it all week. Something happened that I couldn't watch the show that night and I don't think it ever was in re-runs, so I was hoping someone could fill me in on how/where she was caught, if she was tied up on-screen, how long she was held captive and if you recall any of the dialouge the bad guys had with her. I appreciate anything anyone can remember. |

Saturday November 15 23:19:26 2008 Life on mars (and being called to the principals office) |
My apologies to the moderator, I did not mean o incinuate that the use of the "L" word extended beyond the making of movies and TV, perhaps instead of "America" I should have typed "Hollywood" but I didnt think it encompassed TV. But as a thread that is with in the frame of this discussion forum, am I the only one tyhat thinks that there has been a swing in TV/Movie additude toward bondage? ...One can hardly swing a cat these days with out hitting a guy tied and , often, gagged on TV and in the movies. Somewhere there is a Bizarro Brians Page where the readers are super psyked that another set of Putzeshave been wrapped up for their pleasure.... I have concerns that DID will soon mean "Dude in Distress"...oh to be young and innocent again. At any rate I still stand by my origional post... Life on Mars has potential, did in fact have a full treatment scene, but I defy anyone to find it any thing more than a trading card scene to complete their collection ....However I will give this show a 50% chance of a better scene in the near future, but if we get the dudes in distress treatment again then its right off the TIVO list.... PS ,I was thinking of it today of the lead actress' role is not unlike early Heather Locklear in TJ Hooker when "Stacy" was a behind the front desk bit part. One more thing...I found the unnamed poster whos adolecent "tattle tale" post contained only the"l" word portion of my post to be a bit funny, and a bit sad...one would think that his parents would filter this page...tisk tisk son , no one likes a tattle tale. |

Hmm, maybe not. "Legend of the Seeker" is by Sam Raimi, the same guy who did "Xena." I don't think he'll shy away from a bondage scene if it seems appropriate, or even if it doesn't. There are also supposed to be a whole raft of sword and sorcery/sword and sandal films coming down the pikes in the next year or two, riding on the successes of "Gladiator" "Troy" and "Alexander." In addition to LotS and Red Sonja, we've got a parody called, "The Legend of Awesomest Maximus" from National Lampoon, Will Smith has one coming down the tubes where he'll play a pharoah, Albert Pyum, the guy who made "Sword and the Sorcerer" will make a fantasy film called "Tales of an Ancient Empire" starring Christopher Lambert and Lee Horsley (Kevin Sorbo has also been mentioned as a possible cast member) and Comedy Channel will be debuting 'Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire," a parody of sword and sorcery flicks, in spring 2009. And there's other stuff out there I can't recall offhand. Can a Gor revival be unpossible? I think not! |
