No, because the scene you are probably thinking about was on episode one of this year's series...and it's been on youtube for a very long time. |
Wednesday November 19 14:25:39 2008 The Esteemed Pat Powers - Trading With Yanks (Bouncing Emails) |
Having some Email hassles so I'll answer here: Re: Pat Powers- Flash Gordon Ball Gag For our (Canal Z) go with "Révolution" - Partie 1 As Pat Powers & VVVan posted Feb 01 2008 about ep: "Revolution" (1.20) and that's what epguides has for 1 Feb 08 I'll probably go in and add "Part 1" to #13240 beforehand, as I trust these two Sci-Fi guys Btw: You can tell our US friends that these two currently coming up on Zap2it.com - ep: "Complot" & ep: "Une journée sacrée" are US ep: "Secrets And Lies" & Ep: "Sorrow" so if running in order? They can also pick up ep: "Possession" & ep: "L'antidote" aka US ep: "Blame" as well as "Révolution" - Partie 1 Hope this helps in our ongoing Brian's Team Defence |

Just one time. I just made a dBase entry. Record number: 13791 Title: Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service aka NCIS Medium: TV Series Actress: Cote de Pablo Description: Episode: "Cloak" (6.8) The plot is rather involved, but suffice it to say a security exercise goes bad and Ziva (Cote) is "forced" to thump several Marine guards before being knocked unconscious herself. She wakes up in a dark, rather industrial-looking space (the same building as the exercise) sitting on the floor with her back against a concrete support column and her wrists cuffed behind the column. She's wearing boots, jeans, a dark top, and a black fleece jacket. Her hair's combed back in a tight ponytail, and despite having a bloody nose, she's *gorgeous*! She's briefly interrogated by an old guy in a suit, tie, and camel overcoat, then is freed by her partner, Tony. There's a brief closeup of her wrists as the handcuffs are unlocked. The scene is a keeper for fans of brave, feisty damsel/heroines, and *especially* for Zivamaniacs. Otherwise, it's for completists. |

A half-naked DiD or slavegirl in chains seems mild by comparison. True, but slasher and 'horror/action' films are the exception: Since they're not geared towards mainstream audiences and/or the geeky youth market such as "Xena", "Hercules..(Kevin Sorbo)", Sci Fi original crappola, "Harry Potter", etc. the filmmakers can get away with pretty much anything they want since it's assumed an adult audience with a taste for blood, violence, and degradation will only be seeing it. In this case ratings are also a good litmus test: If it's PG-13 to G rated, it most likely won't have any good scenes. Without getting too far off topic, there have been multiple studies and observations stating the fact that the 'conservative-minded' in America are much more tolerant of violence than sex or nudity -- or even anything hinting at rape/sexual vulnerability such as half naked damsels in bondage and slave girls. Mainstream producers are wary of possible protests or incriminations that can affect distribution. One of the few exceptions is that memorable scene of Amy Acker in her first episode of "Angel" where she was an escaped slave in tattered clothing hiding out in a cave (although that was played for some laughs). A situation much easier to digest for the mainstream audience since the planet/dimension she was in consisted of 'alien creatures' being the masters and not interested in using her sexually. Okay, I admit that may be reaching (lol)... There is another exception: HBO's Rome series. There was a scene where a slave girl was rescued off a cart while she was bound. Granted, it wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as the work in "Deathstalker" but it was played as realistically as possible. Unfortunately, there are not too many quality period series like that coming out too often. |

Wednesday November 19 23:15:38 2008 Site Update |
Today we update Bondagerotica with a review of Kiss The Girls Goodbye, an indie flick about a nutjob that keeps a woman chained in his basement just because he's that crazy, that is a noble failure. (And not to be confused with "Kiss the Girls" with Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd, an entirely different film.) It features the biggest honkin' Harmony style gag ever, with the most screen time for a gagged actress in a mainstream film. There are some interesting attempts at character development, hindered by a single awful mistake by the director. A hint: just because a damsel is gagged, that doesn't mean she cannot or should not comment on what's going on around her. "I don't care if you DO have a pimple, you're not wearing that thing to school, young lady!" |
