ESPN commercial
I'm trying to remember information about this one scene from a commercial that was on TV quite a few years ago. I think it was for ESPN, maybe Sports Center, and it had I think an athlete as an anchor. At the end it panned out to show the male and female anchors tied back to back, with duct tape over their mouths.

Anyone remember who the athlete was, or where/when the commercial aired? I was looking to see if it was on youtube, but there's too many to look through without narrowing it down. Thanks.

We have some sports ones:

====================
Record number: 9099

Title: Totally Hooked
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Sharon

Description: Episode: Aired September 15, 2003

About 15 minutes into ESPN's fishing show, the short-haired blonde "Sharon" volunteers to be handcuffed by the Florida Keys county police officer, since she's "never been handcuffed before". A medium-range shot shows her wrists cuffed in back, and the officer escorts her into the squad car's backseat.

Earlier, the pretty long-haired brunette "Paula" smirked that if she were to be handcuffed, she'd prefer to be handcuffed wrists overhead (both Paula & Sharon pantomine), but ESPN doesn't go there...
=============================

Record number: 5085

Title: Italian TV World Cup Football Colour Commentary (1994)
Medium: Other
Actress: Alba Parietti

Description: Cleave-gagged after the Italy vs Norway, football match.

Tara, the long-haired blonde on this show is a friend of mine. Does anyone recall whether she was ever in any bondage situations? I just consulted the voluminous Scene Database and saw no mention of her.

I can't be the only one still hoping that Hollywood might finally get around to remaking Pedro Amaldovar's Tie Me Up Tie Me Down, can 1?

Let's face it the American version is well overdue (As indeed are the British and Bollywood versions)

It wasn't ESPN or Sports Center. It was a local commercial for a news station in Philly. They were to players from the Flyers doing a commercial where they become sports anchors.

Weirdly enough, I believe you are right. Witches were widely believed to be able to cast spells with their voices, but I don't remember ever reading any accounts of them being gagged, though they did have a commonplace gagging device for scolds called a scold's bridle at the time that would have done the trick. It's like they didn't really believe the women they were burning alive for having magical powers, had any actual magical powers.

And I surely would have remembered any mentions of suspected witches being gagged, because when I read that when the English outlawed torturing criminals and witches, the English witch hunters switched to binding suspected witches in what would now be called "stress positions", well, that got burned into my memory immediately.

I might nominate Dawn, the victim of Carl, the chief maniac in "Kiss the Girls Goodbye." He has her squirreled away in an abandoned underground storeroom beneath his house. The only access to said storeroom is through a crawlway hidden in the back of Carl's bedroom closet. So for Dawn's screams to be heard, they have to travel through the (presumably) cinderblock lining of the storeroom and then through at least a foot and probably several feet of dirt, or out through both crawlway doors, thorough Carl's bedroom and through the wall. Which means, IMHO, that she can scream if she likes, because no one can hear her now. Yet throughout her imprisonment, she wears a huge, honkin' Harmony style leather gag.

What I've been racking my brains for is an example of a gagged prisoner in a dungeon, or in a supervillain's headquarters, where she might easily be heard but no one would pay the least attention to her. That I think would fill the bill better than anything, but nothing comes to mind offhand.

Old Budweiser commercial
Does anyone have a link or know the name of the Budweiser commercial from a few years ago where a group of guys dressed like women to play in a battle of the bands to win Budweiser? There's a quick shot of a group of girls they tied up so they can be in the contest. I wasn't the greatest scene but I was just curious about seeing it again. Thanks.

Re: 9 MUSES PROMO VIDEO
Just FYI, those promo videos (cute as they are) don't really make clear the fact that, assuming it is completed and released, this film does appear to be basically on-topic for this site:

"A man wakes up not knowing who he is... Little does he know that he is in for the night of his life. While being forced to trust a man, which he knows nothing about suddenly his life becomes a blur. His vindictive wife has kidnapped all of his current flings and now he must reluctantly watch these people at the mercy of this malicious woman as she plays a kinky bondage game with all of them; however, things are not as they appear…"

The 'kinky bondage game' reference notwithstanding, it appears to be a thriller in the vein of 'Play Misty For Me,' with maybe a touch of 'Saw' thrown in for that modern edge. There's more images and such at the main site (http://www.madludwigproductions.com), but I've linked the two relevant ones here.

Re: unnecessary gags
Here's a few examples from a database search for "headquarters" and "hideout."

In the series Wiseguy Joan Severance is apparently left bound and gagged in a gang's hideout. Depending on where the hideout is, this could be an unnecessary gag.

In the series Hawaii Five O Jean Simmons is bound and gagged in a gang's hideout. Once again, it would depend on the hideout whether or not the gag is necessary.

In the 1974 movie Sidekicks Blythe Danner is gagged while kept bound at a remote camp hideout of a western gang for quite a while. This sound unnecessary.

In the German TV series Der Clown two damsels are tied to the outside of the basket of a hot air balloon, and gagged as well. The gags are unneccesary, even if anyone could hear them, they would have to somehow get to the balloon, which is floating through the sky at a great height.

Re: Unnecessary gags
Restless Knights, 1933, has the queen bound and gagged in a dungeon.

Fiddlers Three, 1948, has a princess bound and gagged in a dungeon. Both this and Restless Knights are Three Stooges flicks.

The Avengers ep Murdersville has the town phone operator in a dungeon, bound and wearing a brank, and since the whole town is in on it, it's definitely unnecessary.

Peking Opera Blues has a damsel bound and gagged on a genreals' bed so he can have some fun with her before his troops kill her. A clear instance of anyone being able to hear her scream, but no one to rescue her.

This was a keyword search for "dungeon" and "gag" and turned up many more instances than I've listed. Don't have the time. Look it up yourself if you like. Same goes for the other keywords ... there's a lot of stuff out there, apparently.

As an aside, one of the actresses is Tomiko, a fairly well known commercial fetish and bondage model. She is a regular attendee at Fetishcon, held every year in Tampa, FL.

Kim Cattrall's scene in "Big Trouble in Little China" comes to mind. She's kept in a cell with a lot of other female captives in the villain's vast subterranean lair. We know that gags wouldn't really be necessary because none of the others prisoners are gagged (or tied up) except for Cattrall's character.

The in-story justification comes from a quick line about her character having fought like a "wildcat" and in a deleted scene we see her causing trouble for the guards but, all the same, her being bound and gagged nothing to the plot and things wouldn't turn out any different had she just been locked up like the others.

Any chance of the station? Comcast? Personalities?
Thanks

Btw: As a favour to our buddy Brian R

Realise the acid flamewar with the "Philly" trolls was humourously entertaining.
But asking to avoid the temptation on this reply and fire the humour to my email instead.

Whilst each of those vids may related-connect to the one we after, figure wait and post the specific one on Video Page and pass the humourous ones around in an email loop.

Then look no further than Hilary Dwyer who played the branked telephone operator in The Avengers - Murdersville. Imprisoned in the local museum with the only dissenters from the plan to offer the village as a safe haven for contract killers, there was no compelling reason to gag her other than the fact that she “talked too much”.

Hellraiser III - Hell on Earth. No need to gag Terry Farrell since she only had Pinhead, his alter-ego and a demonic torture machine for company, but you have to admit - it's a good look!

Might have to invent a new category for these type films. Same as 'Devil of Blue Mtn' - seems to be a commercial bondage film cleverly disguised as a mainstream release - suppose we'll have to judge when it comes out.

Yeah, and the former Babe would've been better too imho. Still, the current actress ain't exactly chopped liver. I just hope that whoever does the tying has improved their technique since the last episode on that show. Anyway, this sounds like it could last for several episodes, which is probably a plus.

Justis Bolding is one of those women who might not look better with a gag. She has a tremendous smirky smile that says "Buddy, your wildest dreams couldn't even BEGIN to tell you how good it would be." Still, no harm in finding out.... about the gag, I mean. :)

Robey in Friday, the 13th: The Series ("Better Off Dead"). The mad surgeon tape-gags our caged heroine so that he won't have to listen to her protests, while the brain surgery performed on the other hapless screaming victim requires that she remain awake during the procedure.

One of the stars of this movie is a model on my website: Tomiko. The producers saw her in another short called "Unadulterated" and hired her to play the "vindictive wife" mentioned above. She is a great, great actress and I am sure this is her best work to-date (well other than for the Game Room... ;-) )
