| Announcing the return of the Loosie Awards. They were an irregular feature on the old Jolly Roper site, recognizing extraordinarily bad bondage imagery in mainstream films and TV shows. Take the image of Lory Walsh from Charlie's Angels below. It LOOKS like good bondage, but IS it? The musing contained in "Damsel in Distress Interior Monologue Number One" will help tell the tale. So, anyway, there are 30 different scenes recognized in the Loosie Awards, with more sure to come. We've got everything from obscure scenes from movies like "Rage of Honor" and "Slavegirls from Beyond Infinity" to well-known scenes like Sheryl Lee in John Carpenter's Vampires. Enjoy! |

The fairly tight rope around her neck helping to hold her against the post was fairly stringent, especially for U.S. tv forty years ago or whenever. And the acting of Amanda Blake - moaning, chest heaving... she couldn't have sold the scene much better. Also, having memory of her on that show with her hair almost always up, I was a bit shocked at how much more attractive she was, to me anyway, with it loose. Admittedly it was tangled and unkempt as it had to realistically be, but I thought she was looking good. It's all a matter of taste of course, but I think you're right about "Prince of Pirates." I did like the "Gunsmoke scene quite a bit, however. |

Also, as Pat Powers pointed out, Amanda B. certainly knew how to...ummm...err...flex her chest and upper body against the tight strands that were holding her. As for the gag, there was a bit of a continuity issue in that the first time she's shown, it is indeed a rather loose OTM gag. Fortunately, in all of the remaining scenes, it appears to me that it's a very tight cleave gag. ...As for "Prince of Pirates," many thanks for the heads up for TCM's Tuesday broadcast. Barbara Rush's fabled scene has been Grail Material for me for ages. It probably hasn't been shown on any kind of national broadcast for at least 20 years, so I'd advise being certain that the recorder is working properly before heading off for the morning commute. |

| The grand finale for the Telemundo soap, Pecados Ajenos, is coming up on June 13. In an advertisement for that finale, Lorena Rojas is shown a couple of times (once being dragged, semi-conscious, on the floor and once, wide awake, in a car) with her hands taped together and gagged (white cleave). Action will probably begin some time next week, and keep in mind that previews for telenovela finales always show scenes from the episodes of the final week, not just the final episode. |
