The Insatiable
Another movie to add to the list of “scenes that could have been…” A deadbeat loner witnesses a vampire attack and manages to imprison the gorgeous fanged fiend in a homemade cell in his basement. She tries to seduce him to gain her freedom (and a meal along the way) and he’s finding it difficult to resist her. So, at his day job he fabricates a heavy set of stocks with a collar welded to a strong steel frame and a set of manacles attached to the ends of the frame by heavy chains. He struggles to drag this into his basement and explains how he plans to restrain her so she can seduce him and let herself go without harming him. She laughs at him, so he drags the contraption back upstairs and throws it in the trash. Grrrr…

I have to disagree. James has provided some very nice inside information over the years. I don't know why he's being cryptic on this ocassion though.

Nothing that is included in the database however. Unfortunately.

I saw this film, there are various scenes with the girls bound hands and feet with torn sheets. No gags. Im looking for the previos version

Thanks. I've seen the "Speck" clips on-line before, pretty gruesome. I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

I looked at the photos and she's kinda familiar but not all that familiar, and I looked at her filmography, and it's true that she's been in a stuff, but not a lot of stuff I typically watch. That said, I don't think she'd make a very appealing Bianca. Maybe an OK Kate. You need someone kinda dewy and pretty for Bianca, and although some are pretty, none of the female cast members are what I'd call "dewy."

The way I see it, James is playing his little "cryptic" bit to feed his own self-importance. As far as I'm concerned, if he's not giving out any info, he has no info about this film. There are other ways around him, so I'll just file him under "brush off" and move on...

I'll spend the entire weekend researching this film & if I find anything out, I'll be more than happy to spread the news. Enough with this "high school" schtick.

Halloween Night
Rebekah Kochan (starred in When a Killer Calls) has another movie out. It's called Halloween Night. She has one hand cuffed to a bed rail while she lies on the floor. She receives a stuff gag and then has her feet bound and the rope tied of to her other hand (which this hand is not cuffed). She is wearing heels and Daisy Duke shorts.

Only saw the rm file from Majorjohns and have not purchased the DVD yet.

I suspect that the reason for the popularity of soaps like "Isaura" *is* the bondage, or more accurately the damsel-in-distress element. The writers have clearly gone to a lot of trouble to place Isaura in situations where she falls from a safe and comfortable life into one of danger and degradation. Ball gowns one minute, chains and rags the next.

This is reminiscent of the Lifetime "woman wrongly imprisoned" movies where, again, a female character enjoying a good life finds herself imprisoned for a crime she didn't commit, or at least one with easy to sympathise with mitigating circumstances. There are invariably scenes of prisoner restraint (handcuffs, leg irons etc.), a degrading jail induction procedure culminating in a lockdown in a small dark cell.

These shows are screened on cable channels aimed squarely at a female audience, so the $64,000 question is, "What do they get out of it?". Does the female audience emphasise with the victim and hope to be rescued by a square-jawed hero? Or is there more? If only we knew. Fascinating stuff!

Hillary Clinton tied up!
Yeah, I know, you didn't really want to see that...but here it is anyway in cartoon form.

(The site doesn't seem to like the direct image link, but I'm hoping this will work.)

Raffish has clips from Speck on his sight. I didn't want to post them without his permission.

No permission needed to post stuff from my site, since it's not like I own the scenes -- though these are behind the subscriber wall at the moment, and I think they'll stay there for now, since they're not late-breaking or exactly guest-clip fodder in my book.

Re: 'Absence'

Apparantly, this film played at a Long Island film festival. Info is on the IMDB, so it is possible that it has been seen.

I hope it is released on DVD, it looks good. Plus, I can not get over the fact that it was filmed on Long Island (in the town next to me). To think, I could have driven by a building where this was being filmed!
