Jennifer Tilly has been tape gagged, stuff gagged, cleave gagged and bit gagged. Marcia Cross has been cleave gagged, stuff gagged, tape gagged and ball gagged. Jennifer Garner has been tape gagged, cleave gagged and dental clamp gagged. Tina Louise has been stuff gagged, bit gagged and frond gagged. (That's right, frond gagged, according to the DB listing.) |

Hey gang, just wondering if any of yuz where ever watching a show and was suprised by a bondage scene when you totally did'nt expect it? One example I can think of would be the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" tv series. The cute red haired daughter was bound and cleve gagged by a crazy woman, glad I was taping it as it was quite unexpected. Any other examples bondage mavens?? |

Monday July 24 01:17:10 2006 RE" Suprizes |
I CAN THINK OF A FEW. NANCY STAFFORD IN THE 'MATLOCK-THE ABDUCTION' EPISODE WAS A SUPRISE AS SHE WAS USUALLY A 2ND BANANNA IN THE COURT ROOM, NEVER HAD A STORY LINE, WAS A NICE SCENCE AS SHE WAS CLEVED AND HER NYLONED ANKLES WERE BOUND TOO. ASLO WAS SUPRISED THAT G.ANDERSON GOT THE TREATMENT IN A FEW 'X-FILES' EPISODES, I MEAN IT WAS A CRIME/MYSTERY SHOW SO FROM THAT ASPECT IT WAS'NT SUPRISING. BUT HER CHARACTER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A STRONG, TAKE CHARGE MODERN WOMAN, (WITH A GUN, NO LESS) SO THE LAST THING YOU WOULD EXPECT WOULD TO SEE SOMEONE GET THE BETTER OF HER AND ROPE HER UP. MUCH LIKE THE CUTE CHICK ON 'BONES' WHO GOT IT TOO IN ONE OF THE EPISODES.

Found taped to a mattress and gagged with tape I've submitted an update to the dB. Based on info for this episode in the IMdB, the "girl" is Erin Chenoweth. Sure looks like her in the clip I have. The memories of the perusers of this message board are fecund indeed. Let's define "gag trifecta" to mean that the actress has been gagged using at least three different methods. I'd like to supply addenda to the information posted above. Weren't both Marcia Cross and Tina Louise gagged with cloths tied over their mouths? I recall that Ms. Cross was gagged in this manner on "Melrose Place", and that Ms. Louise was gagged in this manner by her evil lookalike Eva Grubb on "Gilligan's Island". |

How could I forget Teri Hatcher, she who has been bound and gagged eleven times, by my count. I wonder which type of gag was her favorite? Would someone venture to ask her this? The first time I ever saw the BBC mini-soap "Switch", part of the Deaf magazine show "See Hear", was when I switched on for a quick channel-hop to find the screen full of a cute face gagged with black gaffer tape and mmmphing like a good 'un. Diana Martin was kept tied up and menaced by a stalker (also deaf) in a scene that went on, with minor interruptions, for several minutes. I managed to record the mid-week repeat. That was a cliffhanger ending, but the next series, made at least 18 months later, didn't return to the scene. Details in DB. |

It has what looks like a thin strip of white cloth tied over to hold the "frond" in place. |

The front tie was a bit lame, I thought, but it did show off the rope nicely, and the crazy guy was there all the time, so she wouldn't have got far with ripping the gag off. |

I don't recall any scene with Marcia Cross cleave gagged, and definitly not ball gagged.
All I have ever seen her with is a very quicky stuff gag, and a more porlonged sponge type over the mouth tied with a tie type gag. If the writer of that statement has any evidence please show us. |
Monday July 24 11:58:46 2006 Gag Trifecta |
I hate to rain on the parade, but that pesky *quality* factor keeps rearing it's comely head. Simple lists & counts of scenes & gag styles are of very limited value, 'cause many of the scenes in question were/are... questionable. The number of scenes with *convincing* gags of beautiful damsels in *convincing* restraints in situations of *convincing* peril/distress are, unfortunately, only a *TINY* fraction of the dBase.
What makes Alicia's forthcoming scene in "88 Minutes" so exciting (so to speak) is not only does it look like a high quality scene with that elusive creature, the *effective* cleave-gag, but it will be Ms. Witt's *second* quality scene!!! She's a talented & experienced actress (& a stunning redhead, to boot!!) who has *never done* a bad or marginal DiD-scene!! |

I got the info from the Scene Database, which I understand to be canon. The series was Melrose Place, the episode was "Simply Shocking" the description reads: "Marcia is placed in an insane asylum and gets electroshock treatment. She is strapped down to the bed, with a tan colored rubber ball in her mouth to keep her from screaming or biting off her tongue."

Most scenes in the dBase are marginal. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be there. The celebrity factor complicates things further. I'd *LOVE* to see Julianne Moore get even a crappy DiD-scene on her resume. I'd be much happier with a *GREAT* DiD-scene, of course, but we take what we can get. :-) |

Your memories are to be commended! Speaking of the Gag Trifecta, how could we forget Madchen Amick, who recently achieved the distinction of being bound and gagged five times! I think Gillian Anderson may have had the ultimate gag trifecta. She doubled up each of her different types ... IN SEQUENCE! The first two were with a cleave, the middle two were with duct tape, and the final two were with packing. It's kind of like the natural hat trick accomplishment in hockey. |

Thank you for reminding us of the hockey term, and its applicability in this situation. Should this new award be termed the Gag Hat Trick instead? If sports nomenclature is to be employed, then how about the Gag Triple Crown, modeled after the baseball award, given for a feat that is rarely ever achieved, leading the major leagues in three offensive categories, batting average, home runs, and runs batted in? I think that either name for this award would be excellent. We should determine an exact definition for the award, and someone should tabulate the damsels who have earned it. I propose that one definition be, "the damsel has been bound and gagged at least three times, and been gagged by three different methods. The cloth tied over the mouth, the cleave-gag, and the tape gag constitute the three major methods, while an alternate method of gagging can be an acceptable substitute for any three of the aforementioned methods." From the prolific responses my original e-mail elicited, we already have several names: the inimitable Teri Hatcher, Diana Rigg, Linda Thorson, Marcia Cross, and Madchen Amick. |

Monday July 24 23:07:30 2006 July Update |
As always, if you want access, email me and I'll send out a link. If you want all the pics, I have a .rar file that will save you a lot of right clicking.
Alright, in this month’s update, we have some good stuff. Apologies in advance for the poor spelling, I’m nursing a broken hand and my umm “secretary” is typing this for me – while wearing a nice pencil skirt, stockings, a pair of 4.5” stilettos, a lovely ball gag that matches her lipstick and a pair of gold plated handcuffs (match the earrings) that I picked up from the local adult store when they were clearing them out. I’m using the padded leather chair of course - have to rest after surgery, you see – so she’s kneeling on the hardwood floor. Nowadays, even our government says that everyone has to make sacrifices… Ok, so we start off with a classic scene (well, maybe classic for the youngsters) from the mask with the lovely Cameron Diaz bound to a palm tree arms over head with duct tape. Next is another AOH suspension scene with Peta Wilson – the scene does involve electro torture, so it may or may not be your cup of tea. Nanny 5x04 “Fransome” with the miniskirt goddess and first place winner of the “most goddamn annoying voice, please pour acid into my ears to make it stop” award, Fran Drescher gets kidnapped with Rachel Chagall. A bit of a loosie, wrists in front. La Femme Nikita - 1x11 is probably for completionists only, but there is a great (albeit way, way too short) scene at the end with tape gags and a damsel tied to a putz in a closet. La Femme Nikita - 1x13 - Recruit has Felicity Waterman cuffed with her arms pulled tightly behind her. Sure looks like those shoulders hurt after a while. Not sure if anyone is a fan of black handcuffs, but if you are, you’ll like this scene. La Femme Nikita - 1x14 - Gambit has 2 unknowns who are tied, wrists behind, to chairs while wearing red blindfolds. Unfortunately this scene is marred my 2 putzes and one of the gals meets an unfortunate end. There is also a scene where Lindsey Connell is marched through section 1 with a black hood over head and possibly handcuffed. For the hood fans, I know there are a few of you (interestingly enough, many seem to be female). [a] American Dad - 1x04 - Francine's Flashback is a stupid little animated short with 2 damsels tape gagged and tied up. Threshold - 1x09, “Progeny” with Julie Dretzin is an interesting scene – not only is the resolution and picture quality insanely high, the scenes are surprisingly well lit, in focus and the restraints look fairly tight. A great example of how to do a "futuristic restraints” scene. We really ought to send copies of this scene to various directors. If you ever see an article in the paper about a director being beaten to death by a guy who was yelling “WHY*whack*DID*whack*YOU*whack*MAKE*whack*THE*whack*7 *whack*OF*whack*9*whack*SCENE*whack*SO*whack*FREAKING*whack*DARK?!” don’t expect to get any more caps from me ;) I wonder if these are the same restraints. They put all sorts of stuff on sale in star trek auctions, but never the really interesting stuff like federation handcuffs or the medical experimentation tables. Onto South Park - 09x14 - Bloody Mary. A hooker handcuffed. Short and almost pointless. Some people would say I rack disiprin. And although this may be a piss poor segway – remember the old guy on kung fu the legend continues? Seems he got his own show about the wild west. Wild West Tech, 2x07, “Freak Show Tech” has a mock electrocution scene. Even if you don’t like graphic scenes, check this one out, great close ups of the restraints and the electrocution is almost comically bad – the bondage on the other hand is very nice. Leather straps and not a loosie to be seen. Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Next Generation is up there (and has been for a while). Really, with a title like that, it kind of says it all. If you don’t like the graphic stuff, you won’t like this. Actually, if one of you could ID the scene and actress (is that renee?) Anyways, I’m off to take some more codeine and besides, my time with my “secretary” is limited. No doubt this is the most interesting temp job she’s had for a while, but I’m sure she’s had worse temp assignments through Adecco. |
