Miami Vice Movie Possibility
I don't know if I'm late on this topic, but I just saw a trailer for the Miami Vice movie, and there was a brief glimpse of somebody blindfolded and gagged. I couldn't tell if it were male or female because it was just too quick and, honestly, I really wasn't paying attention (it must be the Colin Farrell factor).

Just thought I would mention it in case it hadn't been pointed out yet.

Literature
I am a recent discoverer of this website and have noticed numerous posts discussing DiD scenes in literature, and while I do not know if this topic had been previously addressed, it would be remiss of me to not mention a fantasy series entitled “The Wheel of Time” by Robert Jordan. Apart from containing numerous DiD scenes, the books are well written and very entertaining for those who enjoy that genre. The drawback is that they are about 800 pgs, include multiple story lines and myriad characters, and there are currently 11 novels in the series. Fortunately, this affords many opportunities for suspense via the damsel-in-distress. In the latest volume, entitled “Knife of Dreams” there were 5 distinct occasions, where a total of no less than 11 different comely women and young ladies received the full treatment (with one uber-full treatment: bound/gagged/blindfolded). And this being a fantasy series set in pre-modern times, they were all cleave gags (except for a ‘magic gag’ of air that completely fills the woman’s mouth, “leaving her mouth gaping open as wide as it would go, with drool leaking down her chin”).

This is by no means the only volume to have scenes. It has been a few years since I read the other novels but I recall one passage in particular (I believe it was from volume 9, “Winter’s Heart”) where a beautiful queen wants to help a prisoner escape, so in order to surreptitiously aid him she (this is the part where I nearly dropped the book) instructs him to hog-tie her and gag her, and since he has no idea how to go about doing this she gives him detailed instructions, and after she orders him to stuff gag her with a silk scarf and then detective gag her with another, she screams and struggles furiously in order to ensure that, for all outward appearances, she is completely helpless and unable to prevent his escape ( she also instructs him to tie a rope around her neck and leash her to a bed post so no one would inquire why she didn’t crawl to the door and bang for help to the guards stationed outside her quarters). Furthermore, a few pages later, as he escapes he bumps into a princess (his future wife), who he promptly binds and gags, and stuffs in a trunk to take with him.

Since I do not own the books I am hard pressed to cite specific examples (though the previous passage has understandably remained quite vivid throughout the years) but multiple DiD instances abound throughout the series, not including the numerous handgags (mostly f/f) that invariably accompany such adventures. Hopefully another visitor to this website will be able to fill the gaps in my memory. On a final note, the bondage scenes are usually more than sufficiently detailed, though naturally not nearly as in-depth as many of us would wish. If this topic has previously been discussed I apologize for the redundancy, but I thought it may be of interest to some.

Miami Vice movie
On one of the trailers I saw. I think it's the one on apple.com, there is a quick shot and if you go frame by frame, it is clearly a man and a woman tied up side-by-side. My guess is the woman is the actress who plays Trudi, Naomie Harris.

Eaten Alive DVD
There is a special edition DVD of "Eaten Alive" coming out September 26th. Its release is the same day as the Chainsaw Massacre special edition.
No word yet on what special features are included, if any. Im hoping for a commentary including Marilyn Burns, since the DVD is being released by the same company thats releasing Chainsaw and she recently recorded a brand new commentary for that film with them.
The cover looks very nice too.

"The Girl Next Door" is filming....
We all know the Jack Ketcham classic "The Girl Next Door"...which features horrific tortures and certainly plenty of bondage scenes...

Well, over at BloodyDisgusting.com they are announcing the movie has a cast, a director, and is filming next week.

For those who have read the book...you have to wonder if it's possible the movie could live up to it.

And who is playing the poor, doomed, damsel? Mae Whitman

Pirates 3
Found this quote on wikipedia, thought it was worth mentioning, even though from what happened in the last 2 movies probably will come to nothing.
"He is a captain who leads the gang of supernatural pirates. He will kidnap Elizabeth Swann [citation needed]. He is based on a legendary Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai."

Spoilers for this week say that her boyfriend is going to take her to a remote beach to get away from the stalker so this is probably gonna be a near miss.

Re: Pirates 3
Though I'd be hesitant to go after anything on Wikipedia, I'm not going to give up on PotC 3 just yet; remember, third time's the charm. Hopefully, they'll finally realize that a pirate movie is nothing without a B&G damsel and Kiera will finally get the treatment. By the way, given that the current PotC movie is breaking every single box office record ever set, there's a good chance they'll keep the franchise going even after the third one is complete. Patience, patience.

For all that, OTOH I can recall few of the genre as having full treatments: "Sea Devils", "Prince of Pirates", "The Black Swan", "Jamaica Inn" and Roman Polanski's "Pirates."
Not much use for a gag at sea, is there?

I did give Keira a little false muffler a few years ago, but it would still be nice to see her get the full treatment in a film some day.

as much as i wanted Kiera to get a treatment, I wouldn't bet on Pirate 3. She already whiffed on the first two installment and it's more likely she will get one elsewhere.
